  25.   grey's note:  The  QuaST  Party ( known also as <link=g11.scr>Orneta</l> ) always  gathered the 
  26.                 largest  amount of  polish Atari sceners. In 1995 the party was 
  27.                 attended  by  over  200  visitors,  99%  of polish blood. QuaST 
  28.                 competitions always brought many great Atari releases,beginning
  29.                 from XL/XE series  (e.g. "AssKicker" by Shadows)  ending on the 
  30.                 ST and Falcon (e.g. "ACYL" by  Shadows or "Insanity" by Cobra). 
  31.                 This party was deeply atari-related, apart from the last one in
  32.                 1998  which  was the  1st multi-format  in the history of QuaST 
  33.                 parties.  Many people  were  dissapointed with the "marriage" - 
  34.                 there were countless PC-related adverts around, very commercial 
  35.                 stuff which surely damaged the special  Atari spirit known from 
  36.                 the past.  Atarians couldn't  forgive this and suspected a main 
  37.                 organizer, Van Eijk,  had earnt a lot  of money  for doing  the 
  38.                 party  only to dig out the cash for his new car. And now, after
  39.                 5 years of silence Van Eijk is going  to organize another QuaST
  40.                 party to break all these "not tasty" rumours about himself.

  43. Van Eijk says:  The 90's have passed  ... the scene has shrunk a lot... but the 
  44.                 spirit is unforgotten .... when I read all the current news and 
  45.                 reviews, I would like to come back .. And I've started to think
  46.                 about something what hasn't left my head lately  -  maybe after 
  47.                 the not successful QuaST Multi Party in 1998  (where apparently
  48.                 I grew rich and bought a car, hehe) I could organize a party in
  49.                 Orneta again,  without an entrance fee or  sponsors but with an 
  50.                 oldschool mood and good old friends? So if you think that QuaST
  51.                 2003 would be a good idea, if you could arrive at the party, if
  52.                 you think  there would be at  least 100 atarians who think like 
  53.                 you - contact me! Just to keep me in interested it's worth it..

  76. Because  I  wasn't  at  Orneta,  I am willing  to attend QuaST party. One party
  77. during the summer would be the best solution - otherwise some people may decide
  78. to visit Lato Ludzikow, the others the QuaST party.

  123. I promised  myself  sometime ago  that I  have to visit this "capital" (Orneta) 
  124. party once again.  There is  still a lot of  time left  so it's possible to set 
  125. different dates for both parties - Lato Ludzikow and QuaST.
