- For most sceners, this issue of our (-hard) disk-magazine suddenly falls as an
- asteroid. Man, that's what we call the spontaneous rendezvous with our readers!
- So here we come to the joy of our trustful readers and to the frustration of
- others :).
-
- It took us many long and boring months to stick it all together - we know that!
- But we've done it anyway :). <link=g1.scr>Life goes </l>it's way and I am checking up myself as
- a husband, father and editor of this mag of course! :) Gosh, not that long ago
- I didn't even know the meaning of such words... :) I am getting to be an old
- bastard :) Even beer or other kinds of alco doesn't excite me that much anymore
- (HILFE!).
-
- But I will keep up the promise already made to you - no matter what happens,
- what life brings up - we'll stride through and our mag will survive as long as
- there is a promising source of motivation! The first effects are already seen,
- just like this part of this chat taken from #atariscne channel:
-
- mOd/Checkpoint: "inspiration to write an article for UCM came from reading/
- watching the latest chosneck. what a great thing... you
- motivate us all!".
-
- We've got some very positive signs, like these above, concerning our activity
- and entrance to the small world of Atari disk-mags. It surely proves to us that
- our decision wasn't a mistake and our existence isn't that indifferent to
- yours!
-
- MaXimum respect to everyone who co-operated with us to build the current image
- of our mag. The fantastic and massive feedback we got after the 1st official
- issue overgrew our expectations and so it's also your success!.
-
- The Chosneck project was never a secret weapon directed to our friends from
- Undercover, Alive or other publications. Co-operating with you was always a
- pleasure. We are going our different ways but heading in the same direction -
- support the Atari scene, the place of our youth! Each of us has his own steady
- writing team and we don't present a danger to each other :) If someone leaves
- any of your mags to lick our butt we will show him what he's worth! We won't
- accept traitors in our ranks.
-
- Chosneck surely loses the battle in terms of readership due to that which is
- mentioned in UCM - the "14 MB RAM frontier". Our magazine became a secret
- untold to many Falcon users. Because we would all like to have a bigger
- audience of readers, we've decided to throw Chosneck open to fans of !ALL!
- Atari systems :) And writing "!ALL!" I mean users of such unique systems as
- Lynx or Jaguar! Nope, we don't have an army of coders for these systems.
- Moonwalker came up with the idea to release Chosneck on... paper :-) After the
- official release of (-hard) disk version there should be a paper one available.
- Additionally !NOT! instead :) So we should become readable to anyone who
- couldn't pass the frontier of being the lucky user of a 14MB Falcon. Maybe it's
- not the best solution and an on-line version would be better accepted, for
- example, who knows? It's all's in your hands!
-
- Support for our magazine in the form of written articles is always very
- welcome. However, lack of these won't prevent us releasing another issue. I
- have to admit that our sceners like to read articles instead of... writing them
- :) Oh well, there are always exceptions such as the cool bloke known as Sygne
- who came up with an offer of support but in form of blackmail:
-
- "Here is my price: one photo of a FREE polish girl with address /per line
- I write for you (...)".
-
- What a cute offer, wasn't it? :) So it looks like we won't get any support
- from Sygne then...
-
- In the current issue we've decided to touch the subject of distressing things
- happening on the scene. Please don't react emotionally and take it to heart.
- Just take it easy and think about what is written. Our intention isn't to
- blame anyone or point fingers and we hope it won't result another senseless war
- as Moondog had to endure in columns of Undercover magascene!
-
- REMEMBER: WE ALL BELONG TO THE SAME COMMUNITY!
-
- And the final task is to finish this already large editor's mumbling - If we
- are a thorn in sb's side, we still look forward to any kind of constructive
- criticism concerning previous issues as well as the current one! The feedback
- corner is open to everyone. If there is anything that irritates you, why don't
- you let us know?
