Subject: (ztt) MaxJoy - Nalin & Kane remix Q
I finally got my copy of the German Maximum Joy (took exactly a month from
the day it was mailed!). The Nalin and Kane remix of Pleasuredome is the Dub
mix. Can anyone confirm that the UK or Holland versions of Max Joy contain
the proper Remix version?
The cd single of Pleasuredome apparently contains only an edit.
BTW, for those not sure how to tell which they have, the time of the N&K Dub
is 11.18.
Thanks,

The N&K Remix is also 11.18 long.
The vocals are the difference.

Absolutely correct. I took the time off the cd jacket (silly me believing
that).
But, to reask my question, does Max Joy had the remix or the dub mix on it?
(and as clarification, by saying Max Joy German, I meant what is properly
titled Club Mixes 2000)

Subject: (ztt) Claudia Brucken live with Paul Humphreys...
Well, I lucked out. After missing the sold out Paul Humphreys (OMD
Revisited) show at the Key Club in Hollywood a month or two ago, I thought
my chances of seeing Claudia Brucken from Propaganda in the flesh were next
to none. Imagine my surprise when reading a local newspaper there is an ad
for Paul Humphreys playing again but at Hollywood Park (the big horse racing
track in Los Angeles) and for only $2 (with coupon). Too good to be true
especially with $1 beer & hot dogs. Yum! :)
Anyway, the show was pretty good. Here are some things I wrote down that I
thought people here might be interested in.
Claudia sang Woman 3 (from OMD's Crush) , This is Not America (from a
forthcoming David Bowie tribute album) and Jewel as well as share vocals on
many others.... One other song was a rejected tune that Paul did for Andy
for the last OMD album and another one a song he wrote for another group but
didn't send to them. Also, Claudia did a new Propaganda song. Don't know
how to describe it...it sounded okay. Not really Propaganda-ish...kind of
adult contemporary but punctuated with that twangy Depeche Mode guitar
sound. Was this the song martin Gore wrote? I'm not so sure... She did
this annoying "sha-la-la-la" at the beginning and end which seemed really
cheezy. Overall, not bad. a $2 crowd at the race tracks is not especially
the kindest and they didn't really approve of the "new" tracks. They just
kept yelling out all of the songs that Paul didn't sing on (he mostly sang
the ballad-y OMD trackings (Souvenir, Secret, etc). Sound quality was fair
but not great. Under the bleachers at a race track are not really the
greatest accoustics.
Does Claudia live in L.A. now also along with Paul? I can't imagine she
flew in from out of town to play at the race track.
Something might be on Napster (Jewel live?) because Andy complained about it
being on Napster and told everyone not to use it (which the audience boo'ed
him for). Was he really serious? He said it was ruining music. ;p
