Subject: (ztt) Art of Noise tour buzz?
I'm a little surprised this list hasn't been buzzing with info on the upcoming
Art of Noise tour. In fact, I saw the tour dates not here, but on on the Yello
list, of all misguided places. I already bought my ticket for San Francisco,
can't wait! Slim's tickets are through www.ticketweb.com. Chicago is
Ticketmaster. Dunno about the others.
10/07/99 San Francisco CA @ Slim's
10/09/99 Indio CA @ Coachella Valley Music Fest
10/11/99 Chicago IL @ Metro / Smart Bar
10/12/99 New York NY @ Irving Plaza
10/13/99 Boston MA @ Paradise Rock Club
Anyone know the lineup for the tour? Are they doing UK dates before the US?

Better yet, does someone have an extra copy of the first/rare version? I've
been looking for it forever...

I have searched the net for more information, and it turns out that I
already
have the rare original version :-) Now, of course, I have bought my
friend's
standard "second" version from the nearest record dealer.
Does anyone know the story behind the two versions?

Subject: (ztt) AON : Art of Noise/ Depeche Mode Remix ?
Hey Noise Makers ! ;-)
I came across an MP3 of Depeche Mode's "Policy Of Truth
(Art of Noise Mix)". There is very little in this mix that sounds like AON,
and out of all of the discographies that I have read on AON, I've never seen
this release mentioned. Is this really AON, or is it some title that DM
decided to give their mix (I'm guessing the latter) . Does anyone have any
backround info on this release ?
Also, is there anyone going to Coachella on October 3rd ?
Love You All,
Noise Werker

Subject: (ztt) New remix CD release next year
Hi all,
last night i`ve got the information from a friend, that ZTT plans to release
a remix CD with old ZTT songs
next year. It seems that they do the same thing as they done with the
Frankie songs.
They`ve contacted a very popular (in Europe) DJ Duo "Nalin & Kane" for
remixing.
Does anyone know something about this project ?????
bye
Karl
P.S: I`m searching for live dates of Propaganda, could anyone help ?

Hmmm, why do I smell another "AON: Drum And Bass" collection here? Honestly,
if the rumour is true, I hope the remixes will bear SOME resemblance to the
original songs :)

I don't think it's either -- I don't remember any mix by that name when the
single came out. Sounds more like something made up by the person who created
the MP3, or maybe it's a DJ remix, but in either case I don't believe it's
anything official. Could you describe the first thirty seconds or so of the
mix, and how long is it?

There was a series of "Art of" mixes that mostly appear on the "ULTRA RARE TRAX"
bootlegs. Several Duran Duran, Erasure, FGTH, etc. I had a 4 track 12" of
Erasure that was a legit DJ mix release that the URT discs ripped off, so I
believe that all of the other mixes came from legit source as well. To make a
long story longer, many of the "Art of" mixes were described on the bootleg
releases as mixed by the Art of Noise - which is simply not true. The "Art of"
mixes are actually pretty good, much better than the typical US DJ services
around.

ART OF MIX was a dj remix service, similar to DMC, Hot Trax, or Razormaid
they had nothing to do with art of noise. and those awful "ultra rare
tracks" cd's are notorious for bogus information on them.
Tickets went on sale LAST THURSDAY for the New York art of noise gig, as of
11am today (Tuesday) there are still tickets available. $17.50
wonder if Claudia will be there with Paul????
I was listening to Grace Jones' "Slave to the Rhythm" while driving back
from Cape Cod this weekend, I take it the "Thank you Paul..." she's talking
to is Paul Morley?
Anyone know who's talking and interviewing on the grace jones album?
