Subject: (ztt) (AON) Who's Afraid of Reissues ?  Not the fans !!!!

I know this has been mentioned a lot; maybe someone that has any control
over this will finally pay attention.

1) Why didn't ZTT just reissue "Into Battle" and "Who's Afraid ? " with the
outtakes from the custom CD ? It seems more logical than continuing to
reissue "Daft" and the original "Who's Afraid ?" . The only reason that I
had bought "Daft" was for the three mixes of "Moments In Love". It just
seems absurd. These lost gems are worth more than just a promotional offer,
and it's unfair for fans that live outside of North America who can't take
advantage of it.

2) Hasn't ZTT or Universal heard of remastering ? Some of the old tracks
have way too much hiss in the backround. Could we have some extra
photographs and pictures inside the liner notes ? And what's this whole
oblivious attitude towards cassettes ?

3) China and Sire sholud also reissue the other albums; it was pretty
foolish of them as well that they had only reissued the remix albums and the
Best Of collection. Off-Beat is doing a shitty job of keeping the post-ZTT
albums in the stores. And to have "Reworks" on CD again would be nice as
well.

4) Also, will anyone ever reissue any AoS mateial ? It took forever for me
to find a copy of "co.uk".

5) Perhaps some Anne Dudley reissues ("Knight Moves" and US versions of
"Ancient & Modern" , "Alice In Wonderland", and "Jeeves and Wooster" . Maybe
a box set ? )

6) The original score for "Disorderlies (remember those sound efects in the
backround ? )" .

7) DVD & VHS (these letters are your friends, AON !!!! They don't bite !!!

This is the email I received when I wrote to CDNow.  I posted it to the AON
list under the same title as this reply, but I dont think I sent this to ztt

current issue of UNCUT magazine has a cd with 'born on a sunday' (seems
to be lp mix)
and a few pictures.
they claim the NEXT issue will feature Art of Noise.

There are (again) some 'average' reviews of the album, inside.

Trev looks SO different.


Anne's soundtrack for the movie "pushing tin" has some interesting
sounds on it!

Subject: (ztt) The Seduction of Europe

Hello List,

Thou dissapointed that we in Denmark can't customise the new AoN CD with
older goodies, I am in the seventh heaven, as I yesteday got my copy of
Seduction. Even a version with 4 MetaForce mixes, two of those seems
different to the 2 CD12"'s.
15 years is a long time to wait for the original AoN to follow up on Who's
afraid. But it has most certainly been worth waiting!

Regarding the MetaForce Bonus CD. I have the following times for the
different CD12":

4.11    (7")
6.53    the beat of a metaphor
5.42    the size of a metaphor
129cd2
3.50    plan 138
4.55    the seduction of a metaphor: intromix
5.26    the x-ray of a metaphor

Subject: (ztt) RE: looking for the names of two AON tracks

IMHO, the Paranoimia 12" is one of the best things AON put out. Although I
hate the Max Headroom thing, Why Me? and A Nation Rejects are sublime pieces
of work. Perhaps "nation" is more like the things we are hearing now with
TSOCD.

Which brings me very neatly to my next point. Finally, I got my password,
but I have a feeling that it is not from CDNOW. My email was different than
the one that Ira forwarded. I think this is due to me mailing the promoters
(I forget who) direct and them doing something about it. In any case,
whoever said that they had good customer service was right.

So just to clear things up, if you live in England, I guess ordering from
CDNOW and having it shipped from their European centre  in order to save
costs still qualifies you for the custom CD.

I am all buzzed about this!

We're setting up a Tower Europe affiliate site that will be able to
supply
you the rare track cd's and it should be up by Wednesday at the latest.
We
are unable to sell cd's through our current site due to regional/country

sales restrictions (only being supplied to the US/Canada/England
currently).
But with the addition of the Tower Europe site, we should be able to
easily
accomodate your request.

I am putting your email aside and will send you a code ASAP when the UK
site
is up. I'm very sorry for the delay, but we'll get that going as soon as

we
can. We definately don't want to exlude anyone from being able to
partake
in
this promotion.
