  85. I happened upon a used 1984(ish) Island US CD release of "Welcome to the
  86. Pleasuredome" and figured, well, what the hey, it's got that cachet that
  87. owning the Uni rerelease doesn't quite carry.  Now I see that the
  88. tracklists are apparently different:

  128. So I guess my question is, what's the deal?  If I read the discography
  129. right, the Island version was released first as CID 101, then the second
  130. version - which matches the MC/LP release - came out the next year.  Was
  131. this a case of realigning the tracklisting to take advantage of a longer
  132. amount of music space available on CD as opposed to LP?  Why replace
  133. "Happy Hi" with "San Jose?"  Or is this just typical "switch 'em up and
  134. get 'em to buy everything twice in every format" par for the course ZTT of
  135. the times?  :)

  137. At any rate, I guess I'm glad I have both of them, JUST to be a completist
  138. nut.

  140. By the way, whoever said a few months back that the Uni booklet "looks
  141. like a bad scan" - I agree completely.  Maybe someday I'll scan both back
  142. covers and you can be as sad as I am and do a comparison for yourself...
