Subject: (ztt) Adamski's new single!
+++
Hello again.
The new Adamski single will probably be "Intravenous Venus"
The tracklisting is:
1 Intravenous Venus
2 Shark Tank's Dry Roasted Mix
3 Mark!s Twisted Soul Vocal
4 Mark!s Fly Trap Dub
5 PF Project's Sharp Edge Mix
6 Venus vs. Noisy Sound Card Mix
Don't know the cataloguenumber, because these mixes are from an unnumbered
ZTT promo-tape.
In my opinion, this is the best Adamski release on ZTT since L.A.Z.Y.!
So let's watch out for the stream of new promo's and cd-singles.
Henry.

+++
Hello everybody
I'm Henry and I guess I'm one of those fanatical Zang Tuum Tumb / Trevor
Horn collectors. Though I've been watching this list for some time now,
this is my first mail to the list.
I noticed that this ZTT mailing list comes alive, when there is news about
Frankie, Propaganda, Art of Noise, 808 State, Seal etc. Though I think and
probably agree with most of you, that ACT, Propaganda and Anne Pigalle
(thank you Steve Lipson) were the best things ever happened on ZTT, I don't
agree with those of you who say that mainly these artists are worth
collecting ZTT.
Especially the last ZTT years on Warners are very interesting. Many
releases were cancelled / withdrawn or released in a very limited quantity.
Examples are: The first Frames DC version of Fitzcarraldo (on ZTT, totally
different from the "Trevor Horn" release); Klymaxx' "I..Feeling" promo
releases; Sexus' cd-single of "How Do You Kiss"; The ZTT/Warner releases of
Heights of Abraham etc. etc.
I also must say that for example Sexus and Public Demand where really good.
It's a pity that these artists were promoted very poorly by Warner, because
they had the potentials to become big (like All Saints..........).
Expect some ZTT updates from me in the near future so we can fill up all
those mysterious ZTT gaps.
Cheers,
Henry
ps: Does anyone have news about the latest Trevor Horn activities?

Subject: (ztt) Let the US re-issues begin...
Hi everyone. I just got some excellent news regarding the US re-release of
ZTT back catalog as well as the new Adamski CD.
Basically, you can expect Universal Records (soon to merge with mighty
Polygram Records) to be releasing the following on Oct. 20 (subject to
change of course!):
FGTH - WTTP
FGTH - Liverpool
FGTH - Bang
FGTH - Reload [which i believe never was released in the US, was it?]
AON - Who's Afraid
AON - Daft
Propaganda - Secret Wish
Propaganda - Wishful Thinking [another US new release]
and finally...
808 State - 90
808 State - ex:el
808 State - Gorgeous
I don't know whether 90 will be the original UK release or the Tommy Boy US
release Utd 90 with a new barcode. I'm sure we will get more info soon and
I'll let you know.
Additionally, as mentioned, the new Adamski CD will be coming out in the US
on that day as well.
With the exception of Adamski, the retail price on the re-issues should be
mid-line pricing (i.e. $11.99-13.99 depending on your record store of
choice). That is most excellent news!!
More news as it develops...

Subject: (ztt) Back supporting ZTT
Hello ztt-ers,
Well, having left university, and thus the internet service, I now find my=
self
having to set up my own internet access. This was not easy, but I like a
challenge. I use an Apple Mac and if you're familiar with these you'll kno=
w
how temperamental they can be=85 but they're part of my job.
Anyway, after a break of around four months its good to be back with like-
minded Zang fans.
Have Propaganda done any more to their new material ie. released anything?
The last I heard was that three of the four original (80's) members were
working on new material as of the beginning of this year.
I look forward to sharing my views, and your news.
TTFN,
John McCormick.

It's gonna be ZTT 122, afaik. Promo 10" and 12" existing.

I haven't heard the song yet, but I found "Existential Boredom" and "One
Of The People" were the best Adamski songs until today!

Subject: (ztt) Hello
Wotcha Zangers!
A quick hello - my name's Philip and i've been lurking for ages.
My interests: Propaganda Act and Claudia Brucken, 808, AON, and most things
Morley.
I guess I'm joining the list now coz ZTT seems to be getting a little bit
interesting / oblique again after years of being just a borin old record
label trying very hard indeed not to sell the odd decent thing it signed
(ie 808 / Sexus etc).
Now the label has been re-launched + re-Morleyed it seems a lot less poorly
than before. It is regaining its original spirit somehow....
Anyway that's it for now
laters
Philip
