Subject: (ztt) Japanese WPCR series CDs
Hi all. Sorry if this topic has been exhausted before, but I've just gotten
my copy of the Japanese A Secret Wish from the ZTT Now and Then Series and
I'm looking for info on the rest.
I've checked the discog for catalog nos. with WPCR in them and found quite a
few, AON's Who's Afraid?, Daft; FGTH Welcome, Liverpool; and the 808 Thermo
Kings comp.
I'm wondering which of the above (and the others) are worth a second copy
and which aren't (somewhat subjective, I know). I can only readily pick out
a few of the "extra tracks" or different mixes looking at the Lazlo's. Some
of the releases look almost exactly like the ones I have already, some
don't. Help!
Love the extra stuff on the Propaganda, and would appreciate any help in
identifying similar treats. Thanks.
PS - Am I missing a whole bunch by only searching for WPCR catalog numbers?

Well, my measurement of what's worth an extra copy usually depends on the
track listings, which you already have access to. But if you let us know what
other kinds of things would make these worth your while, I know I have a few
of 'em and can tell you more.
> PS - Am I missing a whole bunch by only searching for WPCR catalog numbers?
Well, again, it depends on what you're looking for. Searching for "CD:.*JP"
will get you a more complete list of Japanese CD releases, which leads to
quite a few more bonus tracks at least. But anything pre-WPCR is probably out
of print (some of the WPCRs are out of print already, even)...

Subject: (ztt) Who's Listening? (To ZTT!)
Hello!
Did anyone hear some of the latest ZTT output yet?
Recently I got the new Adamski's Thing single "One Of The People" and the
Heights Of Abraham album "Electric Hush" - and I find it's all damn good!
Both pretty unique.
It would be hopeless for me trying to describe how they sound - I can only
recommend it anyway. Maybe you can have a listen in the shop (however the
HOA album actually needs concentrated listening to get into and really
only works as a whole thing).
BTW, my favourite mixes of the Adamski single are the Shark Tank mix and
Ashley Beedle's Dog Funk version.
Any other opinions?
Cheers
Joerg
P.S.: Heard Adamski's been on MTV's Partyzone a few weeks ago. Did
someone catch that? I missed it.

Dunno for 'Excess', but the Novecento singer/people (i.e. Nicolosi family)
had a few italo-disco hits in the mid eighties under the name Valerie Dore,
for example "Get Closer" and "The Night"...
BTW, there's a Nicolosi remix of p:Machinery-95 (italian promo only).
Cheers

I`ve heard the Adamski track and I think it's very good. And to top that
it's quite original in it's sound as well.

What? Ashley Beedle is on the mix? I better get that 12" in a hurry.
Cheers sorenl
