If this is the second time this message has gone out, I apologize, as until
today, I haven't gotten a Zorn digest in weeks, and my message has never
come up.
There has been a lot of talk on this list about Buckethead, so I thought I'd
give out this information. For those of you who didn't know, the music for
the movie "Last Action Hero" was done by Buckethead. The soundtrack
unfortunately only had one song of Buckethead's, to make room for all the
popular alterna-metal bands that they put in the movie to make some bucks.
Well, I happen to have stumbled upon 2 copies of a 2nd Last Action Hero
Soundtrack featuring all songs by Buckethead at a nearby used CD store. I've
never seen this CD anywhere else before, so I'm not sure how common/rare it
is. So, I figured I'd offer it to anyone here who wants a copy. The price
was $7.99, so it would cost you $10 if you want me to buy it for you ($2
postage). Please e-mail me if you're interested in purchasing this disc, and
if there is a lot of interest in it, maybe I'll aution it off (to be fair to
the digest subscribers). Please let me know if anyone's interested.

I'm responding to my own post I sent earlier today to apologize on a
"slight" mistake I made. I just went to the CD store that had the copy of
the "Last Action Hero" soundtrack to make sure I was correct about
everything, and I wasn't entirely correct. The soundtrack was composed by
Michael Kamen. The band that Kamen put together includes Buckethead on
guitar. I don't know exactly how many songs Buckethead performs on, but I'm
assuming most of them because not only is he listed second on the list of
musicians only under Kamen, but the sticker on the disc says "Featured
Performances By BUCKETHEAD". So, I'm sorry if I led anyone the wrong way, if
anyone is still interested in purchasing the disc. I will either get it for
you for $10 ($7.99 + $2 shipping), or to be fair to digest subscribers like
me who sometimes get these posts a week or so after they were originally
posted, if there is numerous interest in the disc, I will auction it off to
the 2 highest bidders.

Hello Everyone on the zorn-list
As I mentioned a week ago, our hosts have changed
the mail-list software that operates the zorn-list.
Currently, it is not working all that well. From
what I can tell, the regular daily list is sending
out messages to everyone in a reasonable manner.
The digest form of the list is still a bit funky
(feel free to email me privately with any helpful
information).
The WORST thing is that *NO ONE* can subscribe
or unsubscribe to the lists on their own. So if
you want to change your status, please email
me (rizzi@netcom.com).
Please be patient as I am going away for a 5 day
vacation starting now.
Keep up the music conversation!
cheers,
mike rizzi
