  41. I ordered Giant Robot from CD-Now last night. It was ridiculously
  42. overpriced, even by their standards. Anyway, I'll let you know if it ever
  43. shows up.
  44. Also, I picked up Henry Kaiser's Hope You Like Our New Direction which
  45. features Buckethead on one track & makes pretty clear (in case there was
  46. any doubt) that Buckethead is (or maybe was) Brian Carroll. I wasn't very
  47. impressed by the duo, but I'll buy just about anything with Buckethead on
  48. it, though I've resisted the Company CDs, at least so far.

  71. The album that generates this type of comment is _Bucketheadland_, which is
  72. supposed to be a soundtrack for a non-existent movie.  Within that context
  73. it works, but I would agree that that album doesn't bear up to repeated
  74. listenings.  Nothing else would fit this, although he gets a little silly
  75. on _Giant Robot_.

  77. Check out _Octave of the Holy Innocents_ to hear a side of Buckethead that
  78. most people know nothing about.  He plays only acoustic guitar and it's an
  79. awesome piece of work.

  129. have you ever listened closely to his screaming? you would know if it was 
  130. hime if you ever heard FNM or bungle in concert, or listend to the latest 
  131. FNM album. or closely examine the small amount of screaming noise parts 
  132. on the mr bungle album........i want it to be him because he is a very 
  133. wonderful singer....even if he never sang, he can make just as many, if 
  134. not more different, and more varied sounds with is throat than Eye can...

  149. I would assume that if Zorn thanked them than they must have contributed to
  150. the album in some way ... i.e. Patton on vox & the Melvins helping with the
  151. music.

  153. I've also read a few reviews of the disc that have talked about how Patton
  154. & the Melvins joined Naked City for a "30 minute jam session" etc etc . . .

  176. My copy of the album specifically states: THanks to Mike Patton, and the 
  177. Melvins. (Or something to that affect). It sounds to me like the Melvins 
  178. play throughout the album, the guitar for the most part is very 
  179. Melvins-ish and not very Naked City-ish. Also the vocals, as far as I can 
  180. tell, are Mike Patton. Sure it is the same screaming style vocals that 
  181. Yamakutsa Eyes is known for, but it does not sound like Yamakutsa, and 
  182. Mike Patton also is known for doing the same kind of vocal style on 
  183. occasion. Besides wasn't Mike Patton touring with Naked City at the time? 
  184. I know he did several shows with them. You were aware that Zorn produced 
  185. Bungle, and also several members of Bungle including Patton are on Zorn's 
  186. Elegy?

  200. Buckethead's Giant Robots features many tracks which are either new 
  201. versions of Deli Creeps songs, or also feature the other members of Deli 
  202. Creeps. If you like Deli Creeps, definetly see if you can get your hands 
  203. on this disc. I also am only aware of demo recordings from them.

  225. was at it was at the now-defunct marquee in new york on thursday april 9,
  226. 1992.
