  35. Giant Robot is not scheduled for US release at any time in the future.
  36. Sony has apparently decided not to put it out.

  38. My copy came from the HMV Megastore in Tokyo.  There may be some copies
  39. available at an outrageous price from Amoeba in Berkeley.

  41. Buckethead is working on a new album with Brain as the drummer.  I don't
  42. know for a fact, but would guess, that Bootsy is on bass.  Laswell is NOT
  43. producing this one and I am not sure who is.  Bootsy produced
  44. Bucketheadland, but usually produces in his own studio (Bootzilla Studio),
  45. and this is not being done there.

  63. I saw Patton as the vocalist with Naked City in NYC about five years ago.
  64. Maybe his live appearances make people suspect that he is on the recorded
  65. stuff.

  109. have you ever listened closely to his screaming? you would know if it was 
  110. hime if you ever heard FNM or bungle in concert, or listend to the latest 
  111. FNM album. or closely examine the small amount of screaming noise parts 
  112. on the mr bungle album........i want it to be him because he is a very 
  113. wonderful singer....even if he never sang, he can make just as many, if 
  114. not more different, and more varied sounds with is throat than Eye can...

  129. Some nice person sent me some of Zorn's charts for the Masada band.
  130. Whoever you were, please let me know, because I'd like to maybe write an
  131. article for Perspectives of New Music about Masada and would like to try
  132. to get JZ's permission to include a couple of these charts.
  133. Anyway, these charts have translations of the titles. Here's what I've got:
  134. Tirzah-Queen of the Moon
  135. Adithaim-Ornaments
  136. Sahar-The Moan
  137. Nimrah-The Leopard
  138. Ashnah-Darkness
  139. Ai-Bel-Mountain
  140. Tahah-Confused
  141. Hekhal-The Palace
  142. Kanah-A Measuring Rod
  143. Timnah-Octant
  144. Jair-God will Illustrate
  145. Lachish-Flower
  146. Zebdi-The Gift
  147. Lebaoth-The Lions
  148.  
  149. These may not be totally accurate because JZ's handwriting is not the
  150. clearest, especially after being xeroxed a couple of times.
  151. Also, some of these tunes are not on the 4 albums. Maybe we can hope for a
  152. Masada Hay, Vav, and Zayin.

  154. BTW, the new Nels Cline Trio CD is all that and then some. Nels can sound
  155. like Frisell and Scofield when he wants to, but he's much more agressive
  156. than them. This is what Frisell would sound like if he wasn't so shy &
  157. liked Sonic Youth a lot. Anyone interested in New Music and roick guitar
  158. sould pick this up.
