Are they transcriptions or actual copies of the band charts? I'd be
interested in them either way. I transcribed "Metaltoff" from Radio
and can send it (as a Finale file if anyone has Finale.)

Subject: great source of info
April 29:
Greetings to all experimental music fans!!! My name is Rich
Ladew, and I run a show at WUNH, the University of New Hampshire's
college radio station. (91.3 fm if you're in the area). Every thursday
night, I broadcast a lot of spontaneous, free-form music spanning from
sound collages, japanese music, NYC downtown scene, psycho-babble,
combat-jazz, etc.
I am performing an hour special on Thursday, May 4 on Painkiller
along with Matt (the organizer of this newsletter) and my sidekick. I
talked with Subharmonic earlier this week about getting Painkiler promo
items, interviews, etc. Any received items willbe written about here. I
am extremely psyched for Zorn/Harris/Laswell to be playing in Boston on
May 10. Hope to hear from some of you.
Some zorn stuff I have(AND WILL TAPE/EXCHANGE FOR OTHER STUFF), some I'm
looking for:
HAVE: Classic Guide To Strategy (a dubbed cassette copy), Roadrunner (a
1986 "cartoon like" composition, Otomo Yoshide's 1992 cd WE INSIST, which
features Zorn, Eye, and others, Sato Michichiro's Rodan, which features
Zorn production work, Frissel, Christian Marclay, Baron, and Art by Mark
Beyer, Elegy, Kristallnacht, Prima Matera (interesting, but not the
best), Painkiller's Guts of a Virgin, and many others...
Don't Have (and desprately want): Locus Solus, Audiosports (Eye's guest
appearance on A Japanese rap group), Bungle demos/boots, Buckethead
stuff, Japanese Cartoon Music that has been mentioned.
I would be happy to send anyone a copy of our radio show, and I
will continue to contribute information if I get any. If any of you have
access to the Boston Phoenix newspaper, February 3 1995's Arts section
has an article about Zorn and Masada with a sweet picture of Zorn yelling
out. In the future, I will try to type out the whole thing for people to
read. In addition, I have the program guide from the Zorn Month put on
at the Knitting Factory in '93 (although I had no way to get down there
to see it...sob). I could also type some info from that, has a shit load
of interesting things.....
Well, I would appreciate any correspondance, and my e-mail
address is reladew@christa.unh.edu. My snail mail address for
trades/swaps is : Rich Ladew 9 fernwood Drive Merrimack, NH 03054
Also, I have a copy of The Boredom's Choclate Synthesizer, and it
is astounding. While there is still plenty of chaos and humor, one can
hear a lot more melody and evolution on this effort. (If anyone has
heard their Avant release "wOW 2", it's in that vein. Really great.
Thanks for taking the time to read my spot. More info later....
Rich Ladew
