Subject: Masada and...
I just came home from my vacation and found my copy of Masada One waiting for
me in the mail box. IT is perhaps the best thing Zorn has put out in a very
long time, at least since the Filmworks cd. Zorn and Dave Douglas, who plays
trumpet, must have a kinetic bond. The improvised sections are classics.
Until I saw Zorn live a few years back, I sort of assumed all he could do
was make noise on the sax. This cd sets the record straight. He has his own
unique style, and it is amazing.
I was a little dissapointed by the new Painkiller cd(s), but I never
really liked them to begin with. The second cd is my favorite. Try falling
asleep to it, you'll have weird dreams.
Does anyone have some info on who will be distributing the new Zorn
label? The lame indie stores around me seem to have stopped ordering Zorn
stuff, even though it always sells. Also, when is the new Cobra release
finally going to materialize? My friend has a reviewers copy and says it is
really fun. I would love to trade tapes with people if they want to contact
me. I have some pretty rare stuff, including Archery and The Frank Lowe
Orchestra.

Subject: HELP: "Cobra Live at the KF" out of print?
I attempted to order "Cobra Live at the Knitting Factory" from CDNow!
only to find out that it's out of stock. I consulted Cadence to see if
they had it in their mid-section and found out they didn't. Is this
disc out of print? The catalog number is Knitting Factory Works 124.
