Hi,
I know that there exists a serie of Russian bootlegs called 'Golden
Collection'. It might be one of those, as I dont think it is an official
release...

Subject: (yello) Yello "sighting"
I sold a non Yello item via eBay to a person that happened to live near me
here in Southern California. He stopped by to pick it up rather than go
through the mailing process.
We got the talking about collecting & he , being an LAPD police officer, had
begun collecting police related items. When he asked what I collected I was
reluctant to answer Yello as it is so often followed by "Who's that?" When I
fessed up, he admitted to knowing the popular songs & had a story to tell.
A few weeks earlier while he was on the job, he responded to a well-to-do
section of L.A. where a bomb threat had been called in. He described going
into what was once a wine celler of a historical site house that had been
converted into a state of the art studio. There were four men there that knew
the bomb threat was bogus and called in by a disgruntled sound engineer (or
similar) that had been fired earlier that day.
As they looked through the dwelling the parties inside told them they were
the recording group Yello. I showed the officer some pictures & he thought
both Boris & Dieter were present and in his estimation were working on a film
project.
Funny thing ending this story, when the suspect was arrested & given his
mandatory phone call-he called in another bomb threat to a different
location.
I have since become friends with this policeman as a result of our exchange
and promise to fill in the empty spaces in this story.
happy holidays
Fred
