YELLO all! ;)

I know it's been forever and a day since I've written here. I'm still going
through the 1000+ messages I'm behind. And the design of the new YELLO Pagez
has been put on hold so many times I've lost count!!

Anyway, I'm curious. How many of you would like another server for any and
all YELLO files. It'll be located in Syracuse, NY using a T-1 equiv. line
(1Mbps up and down) that goes through Verio's backbones. I'm hoping I can
have it available 24/7. I've been thinking of a FTP server and/or the
Hotline Server. Kakkerlakk has already volunteered to help me with Hotline,
if needed (Tanx again, Kak for the filez and the support ;) Any other
suggestions for server systems would be greatly appreciated.

I've been collecting any YELLO MP3s, videos, and anything else I can find.
The material will be only those rare tracks, nothing that can be still
purchased online and/or at your local store. Uploads will be highly
encouraged, but I would like the sound/video quality to be excellent. I know
a lot of the material may only be available on vinyl, but don't let that
discourage you. I may be able to clean them up at my new sound studio, which
is in the works of being rebuilt. At first, the uploads won't be available
until I review the files. This will keep the warez pups and other lamerz
from abusing the system. Plus, it will only be available to the members of
The YELLO Mailing List, or if someone begs and pleads really well ;)

Any and all thoughts are encouraged. Respond here (recommended) or through
my e-mail.

This was also tried too, at a current site(yello ftp), and at kakk's short lived
hotline server.
Its really too bad that a lot of us couldnt enjoy the benifits of the hotline
server, chats, trades, etc, etc.

Seems to me that as long as YELLO has been satisfied with minimal releases of
solo material and new singles from their most recent album, then YELLO fans will
continue to show no interest in these extra curricular activities. Very sad but
true!!!

Too bad YELLO could not try something on these lines like some other artists do
for their fans...

God knows they have enough rare and unreleased material, and fans, to
successfully do this too.

For myself, (and a few others), I still have the pleasure of collecting, and
catching up on old yello stuff to fill the void. In my humble opinion, YELLO
still has some of the coolest and rarest collectables out there, but my patience
is starting to wear thin!!

WE NEED SOME NEW MUSIC.

But political actions are always different from "music for pleasure only".

I second the first sentence but I would like to see compilation CDs
of Boris Blank's early remixes and other rarities. Certainly it would
be great if new music comes more frequently but that is not always
possible. The more different versions (even very early test versions
would do fine), the better because the different remixes (by Boris)
has been always one part of what makes Yello special.

The third party remixes are mostly boring!! Keep up working on remixes,
Boris -- the recent Race (Brake Light Remix) was stunning, for example.

One way to keep fans active while waiting for new releases, would be to
release Breaks, Beats & Loops CDs for more songs (than the How How).
A good choise would be to release a BB&L CD for a few songs of Stella
album --- and this time, please include vocals. I choosed Stella as
an example because Stella could easily get a total face lift with modern
processings.

Nowadays audio software are readily available and people can try out
remixing/remaking in their home computer. That is not a problem
anymore; why not take an advantage of it?

Kakk's Hotline server was still accepting YELLO logins. However, since I was
the only one using that account, he got rid of it last night. The Hotline
server I set up will _only_ be for YELLO fans. Nothing else. I wouldn't
moderate the chat (who can nowadays ;), but I'd encourage it to be music
related (Art of Noise, Kraftwerk, and the like).

I did find that the Yello FTP site is still up, and now ALL the files reside
on my file server. I just have to spend some time going through the chopped
and duped files, and possibly clean up some of the vinal recordings (maybe
;).

I'm courious why not? I know they have both Mac and PC versions of the
clients. You running Unix? I'm running it in Windows 2000 Professional with
no problems.

I'm just trying to keep a dream alive, I guess ;) Who knows. Maybe Boris
will pop in and drop off a few samples (BOY!! Now _that's_ a pipe dream!!)

As always, I completly agree. I know how much work can go into one album,
but the time lapses between albums is a bit much.
