Thanks for the tip, Robert. Both albums for sale at CDNow for
reasonable prices:

Rarely do I ever make recommendations on other artists for Yello fans.
But,
in the off months while Yello isn't brewing new material, I have to
turn to
other sources.
I've come to the belief that most of the folks who enjoy Yello do so
because
of the artistic side of their music (which, IMO, sort of took a back
seat
with Motion Picture -- Pocket Universe and Zebra are my two favorite
albums
of artistic merit) as well as the sound. Nonetheless, I think we can
all
appreciate true musicians and true artists when we find them.
Rarely do I feel strongly about and artist and their merits and when I
do, I
feel the need to share their work with others. That's why I'm bringing
up
this recommendation.
I think you all need to check out this fantastic group from Amsterdam
known
to the masses as "Arling & Cameron". For those of you in Europe or
Japan,
you may have already heard of them. They are, many times, credited as
the
founders of the "easy tune" movement.
I would be willing to venture that these two are the next generation
Yello.
Musically, they are slightly different, but their music shares the
same
sense of humor and appeal that Yello does (for me).
The two "retail" albums they have are their best work (they even agree
to
this). I am more partial to the first album "All-In" but their second
work,
"Music for Imaginary Films", is extremely creative.
Be sure to give them a listen. I'll share a couple of MP3s on the FTP
server
is anybody wants to post the URL.

Subject: (yello) The Ultimate Yello Server
Hi Gang,
Just wanted to give you all a heads up. In the next
few weeks, I will be opening a brand new Yello server.
I will run this server on Hotline. Those of you who
are not familiar with this app, please check out
www.bigredh.com, for info, and a place to download the
client software (don't worry, its free).
In the coming weeks, I will post updates, and
eventually the grand opening date of the server. I
plan to have many exciting and rare item for all of
you. Also, its a great place to chat with other Yello
fans, and maybe we can even start a trade forum.
Chefshelly will be co-adminning with me, so any
questions can be directed to either me, or to him
(chef.shelly@home.com).
Thanks, and hope to see you all real soon.
kAkk...
