Hi Cliff. Well, I'm experiencing a similar situation with my order for MP from
Frontstage (a Belgian site). I ordered it on 13 November, where they quoted one
week's delivery, and I'm still waiting!!!!! That's Belgium to UK. Not exactly
a vast journey! Oh well, I'm sure it will be worth it in the end.
Then I can jump in with the others and give "MY" opinion.
Bet the bloody thing arrives in the post tomorrow, now that I've posted this!!!

I ordered from FrontStage too...both MP and the Squeeze Pleaze
single. They mailed me yesterday to say that MP was on the way
after a 3 week wait (it was being backordered) and that Squeeze
was still being waited for. They've been good at staying in touch
and I am quite impressed, even though the delivery has been
relatively slow. It'll probably arrive today or tomorrow, so fear not
Mike!

Subject: (yello) Motion Picture in USA
Hey Americans!
While my local music shops don't expect to see Motion Picture without
special ordering it, I see that it is now available on CDNOW.com for $20.99,
which isn't too bad for an import.
I've had a good experience with cdnow in the past, so I would recommend
them.

Even though I overall am unimpressed with Motion Picture, I decided to apply
my bargain huntin' skillz to finding an inexpensive way to order MP in the
USA.
As it turns out, Buy.com has MP for $19.95. They are offering free shipping
for the rest of the year. They also have coupons. $10 off any order. So, as
you can see... $9.95 is a fair price for an import. :)
If you're a new Buy.com customer, use this coupon ($10 off you first order):

Have fun! :)
(they also sell ... everything almost -- it's a good site)

Subject: (yello) first impressions of motion picture
so here it is, thanks to www.eil.com in the UK at 17.99 UKP
the album has a dark but jazzy feel to it, and i can hear why it
reminds you of the yello of 'old'. yello does not really date.
the sound is very full, like pocket universe pushing my system to it's
sonic abilities. it's not as 'frantic' an album as past albums, this
is more laid back, slower bpm, sounding more purposeful.
squeeze please almost sounds out of place on this album, but it fits
in with the overall feel. motion picture is an ideal title, it does
call to mind scenes, particularly from detective movies.
anyway i shall be fully road testing the album Sat 27th. I have two
days of VMS operating system upgrades, hardware and reclustering, this
will be the accompaniment!
regards all, nic

Unfortunately, you can only use the coupon once and it has to be sent to you
from a third party vendor. They are still offering free shipping thru
tonight.
