Greetings fellow yellow fans,
I've already posted to Daniell the following lyrics.
I don't know if he received them.
So I thought as a number of people are asking ......
To The Sea
Away...
Away...
You may have many problems
But I was never one
All I ask is take me to the sea
You had to take me somewhere
I realize it now
Listen now just take me to the sea
Away from flickering nights and crowded streets
Away from blinding lights and shining needs
Away from person hiding, breathing hard
Away from always paying on your card
This will be my way out
And you will be my guide
The more you take me to the sea
I'm only asking this once
Please take me for a ride
All I ask is take me to the sea
To the sea
To the sea
To the sea
To the sea
Then leave me with the seagulls
Smile your sweetest smile
'Cause you [?]
Drop silver on your forehead
And wave my last goodbye
All you do is take me to the sea
To the sea
To the sea
To the sea
To the sea
(I'm wondering if James and David are actually fans of Yello looking at their
recent postings? Or am I missing an in joke somewhere?)
Move..........Dance............Be born
Mike

To me that last line sounds something like
'Cause your laugh is salt and earth and breeze
(or 'salten earthen praise')
(other possibilities include 'love' instead of 'laugh'.)

?
I'm not sure I get it. I see myself as a quite big fan (building up the SUITE
909 website must be a visible evidance of that), so I wonder how my posting has
brought you to question my 'fandom'.

I wonder if anyone has seen Blazing Saddles videoclip? Does anyone know why
wasn't it included to Essential?
See ya,

I think you were missing the joke. I thought James' and David's posts were
great. It was refreshing to see such a lighthearted and humorous approach.
I had a good laugh, which was no doubt their intention. Thanks guys.
Thanks for posting the real lyrics by the way Mike.
Cheers,
Craig.

Does anyone deal with mp3's for Yello. I'm in the process of encoding all my
Yello cd's to MP3's to be able to mail to people that might want them.
Looking for others to trade.

I have already poste my version of the lyrics to Daniel, but as they differ
a little bit from Johns and Michael I thought I should post them on the list
as well.
Maybe Jonas could help us with it?
To The Sea
Away...
Away...
You may have many problems
But I was never one
All I ask is take me to the sea
You had to take me somewhere
I realize it now
Listen now just take me to the sea
Away from flickering nights and crowded streets
Away from blinding lights and shining needs
Away from person hiding, breathing hard
Away from always paying on your card
This will be my way out
And you will be my guide
Don't argue take me to the sea
I'm only asking this once
Please take me for a ride
All I ask is take me to the sea
To the sea
To the sea
To the sea
To the sea
Then leave me with the seagulls
Smile your sweetest smile
Kiss your life, this heart and earth and praise
Drop silver on your forehead
And wave my last goodbye
All you do is take me to the sea
To the sea
To the sea
To the sea
To the sea
Kindest regards
Eric

Yello simply didn't like it...
Btw, here's the correct lyrics line for To the Sea:
"I'll kiss you like the salty Northern breeze"
