Subject: (yello) ReWatch/ISO
Finally received my ReWatch by mailorder with the special CD and
thought I'd let you all know about them.
First of all the watch, it's really nice! The set comes in a metal box
and fitted cardboard to hold the watch and CD. The case of the watch
is a crushed Budweiser can (which is great for me, because I also
collect beer mementos), the strap is from a recycled leather seat
cover, the workings of the watch are new. There's nothing fancy
here, no date, no digital stuff, just simply a watch. The face has
New York Recycler around the outside with the ReWatch logo, and the "A
Can Is A Watch" saying in the middle.
Second, the CD. It's credited to ISO (Industrial Sound Orchestra) and
it has four tracks on it. Same song, just remixes. Dieter wrote the
lyrics (what few there are) and did the vocals. The music is done by
Martin Klolber, and it sounds like the Solid Pleasure era Yello.
While Martin is competetent in the music he is definately not Boris!
The CD is entitled "The Sound of Recycling" but the song is called
Crash Dance.
The track order:
Crash Dance - A Day in April
Crash Dance - A Day in June
Crash Dance - Carl's Time
Crash Dance - Stachanov Special
Crash Dance - Chill In Movement
Note track 5 doesn't exist, on the cover of the CD it's listed that it
was removed due to a management conflict.
The best track is 4 which is the most finished of the tracks.
Here's some bizarre parts - the CD itself has the name Carl Crash all
over it. For example: On the CD ISO is not listed it's Carl Crash's
Crash Dance (a new character for Dieter?); the CD is on Crash Records;
Executive Producer is Carl Crash.
The CD was recorded at Soundproof Studios, 22355 Carbon Mesa Road,
Malibu, California - a division of Yello Music and Motion Pictures.
Anyone know about this?
To wrap up, yes the watch is worth it (a bit pricy tho), the CD is
interesting but not going to chart. And ordering through WatchWorld
was easy, however, watch out for the taxes and shipping charges. The
added on taxes and shipping bumped the price of the set to over
$90.00! In the catalog they sent me there appear to be WatchWorld
stores located all over the country, check in your area before
ordering from the mail order.

It is the Dieter's studio. Martin Koibler is a hired audio engineer
in the studio. A keyboard magazine has a photo from the studio and
the equipment listing.
I remember there is an additional photo on the webpages of the company
which build the studio. Don't remember and most perhaps all my material
are at home.
Yours,
Juhana

The Keyboard equipment listing was posted here a long ago but
I will look for it at home.
Look at "http://www.bauton.com/yello.html" for photo and press release
from Yello. Download also second photo "http://www.bauton.com/graphics/
yello.jpeg" (the photo on page is "yello2.jpeg").

Subject: (yello) New Yello songs on old Yello albums!!!
I was looking through a CD catalog on the weekend, and there were
several Yello albums listed with new songs that I've never heard of
before!
The New Mix features the new track 'Look Again'.
Hands on Yello features the song 'Vicious Circle'.
Baby features three new songs: 'Intro', 'Sticky Jungle' and 'Lazy'.
I hope you are all as amused as I was. :-P

It just occurred to me: that as the description of a highly
sophisticated technological achievement, "Avon's gadget
works" seems to lack a certain style.
