Subject: (yello) Q2 and 3
Question 2 is of course entirely different.
"On which cover (CD) can you find Boris Blank, Dieter Meier, Steve Remote,
Ann Militello and Tony Zanetta all in line?"
But question 3 is a bit of the same.
"In which song, somebody says 'Non, ce n'est pas moi, cetait l'autre' and
what does it mean"
And of course there's another trivia question: In how many songs is there
something about driving a car?
BTW, Trivia questions are the ones I would need a considerable amount of
time to check.

Subject: (yello) On Track
Hi all!
At SDS worldwide music catalogue in Swizerland, they have these
different On Track CD's listed.
YELLO - ON TRACK (CD-EXTRA)
YELLO - ON TRACK - CD EXTRA LIMITED
YELLO - ON TRACK - CD EXTRA LIMITED (yes it's listed twice)
On fortunately there is no info about them except the price, so I don't
know if any of these are the On Track CD that was handed out by Dieter
(you know, the one we all have tried to order with no success, well I
have tryed at several stores where I live anyway) but it could be. Could
be worth checking out, anyone from Switzerland?
The URL ? Why sure..
http://www.sds.touch.ch/
Oh, perhaps I should mention that it's all in German.
Regards
Eric

Subject: (yello) Take It magazine
I dug up copy of this magazine to go along with the flexithat I already had-
bummed out!
The writing is infantile and Yello was sort of a footnote. The bulk of the
article that introduces the flexi is about how close the word Yodel is to
Yello.
In other news...
I am parting with a lot of the music related goods I have accumulated over the
years and will compile lists for the non Yello artists you might collect.
I have heard mention of :
Nina Hagen- 10" EP with "White Punks On Dope"; Brazil 7" v.a.Pepsi promo with
1 cut each by her, Springsteen, Carley Simon & Freddy Mercury
Simple Minds- New Gold Dream gold vinyl & press kit
send your wants
Best,
Fred

The Yello album will be absolutly new (no compliation or whatsoever...)
As PU was released one year after its finalisation (!), I think
that Mercury will wait again to release the new album in spring 99=B4...
Boris started to work on the new album while PU had been promoted.
So actually at the time of the PU release the songs were over one year old.
That might be another reason for the low output of PU singles...

Hi Eric !
Replying to your message about the SDS wordwide music catalogue.
The items listened in this catalogue are from different record stores all
over switzerland, and of course there are several stores who want to sell
the On Track CD.
So there exist only one On Track CD - but three possiblities to buy from.
It's a claro que si....

Question 3
If you open the CD sleeve of a certain CD, you will see a picture of Dieter
and Boris.
Dieter has his hands in his pockets and Boris is smoking a sigar.
Behind them are a few old cars. I feel the picture could have been taken in
Cuba.
In the car behind them you can see a hand shaped sticker.
Name the CD.
Trivia: Where was this picture taken? (I'll be damned if I know)

Why does good ol' Boris release some of these rarities on the MP3 site? I
understand that there are probably copyright laws to prevent this, but who
would really know if it's just kept inside this closed circle of Yello
fanatics? He could always claim "someone ripped my masters off" or some
other such nonsense. No proof it was him.
He'd make a lot of people happy.
As for the new album - I'm excited as always! Thanks for the news!

I was of the understanding that PU was the last album under Yello's
contract with Mercury. Have they signed a new contract or was this
information incorrect?

Subject: (yello) FTP Site
The FTP is back up and Running. Well, for a while at least.
The server has a new huge hard drive, so upload all you want.
Rocket's Machine is with me here at College for the Internet Connection here
(T-1).
The server will have no connection soon (not soon enough) when I am out of
school.
Sometime in Mid May.
I am looking for a new home for the server with a good connection to the
Internet. If anyone is from the Minneapolis, Minnesota area in the United
States, and know of a place I can set the FTP, please email me so I can make
some contacts.
I like the ability to hear music I would never be able to hear otherwise, so
please help me if you can.
PS: Because of the Volume arrangment in the server, all my Yello will be
accessable, this is not meant to make some of you mad, this is only because it
is convenient for me. This is not because I want all of you to be able to
download non-rare tracks. Use proper judgement and sanity please, I expect you
are not here to rip off Yello.

Question 6.
Untill recently there was somebody called Random Toxy on the list. He has
changed his name to a somewhat more modest version. In one of the songs
however, we can hear 'My name is Random Tox' or something of that kind.
Maybe our handsome friend has chosen his previous a.k.a towards this song.
Question is, what does the man in the song do for a living? Please
specifiy.
Question 7.
Again some songpart question. This song has very special lirycs. It's all
about the human soul being the center of it all and the religion with a God
and his son being one of the most diabolical ideas in the world. Name that
song.
Bonus points: What is the history of this song?

In addition of hearing some rarities, I were glad to hear some really
terrible junk third party remixes instead of buying them. They were so
horrible that I had to delete them from my hard disk even it is a great
temptation to keep them. Figure it!
Anyone have How How third party remixes? How about Hands on Yello?
Yours,
Juhana
