Subject: (utah-sailing) Turkey Cup approaches.
Date: 10 Nov 2003 16:53:26 -0700
Hey all
The turkey cup approaches! This Saturday I will again be doing
the Turkey Cup. Right now the weather is looking good for the
days events.
We are planning a mini offshore that will hopefully only last two
to three hours. After that it will be DEAP FRIED TURKEYS!
This event is free for all and open to all sailors and guest
regardless of affiliation.
The event will be this Saturday at the Great Salt Lake Marina.
Skippers Meeting at 10:30am
Start at Noon
Turkey dinner around 4:00pm
I am supplying the turkeys but side dish or dessert contributions
are welcome.
If the weather does not allow for racing we will still plan on the
dinners.
Please RSVP so I know how much food to buy. We are getting a
pretty good response so far even with the cold weather we are
having.
Thank you
Dave Shearer

Hey all.
Forgot to mention in my previous letter that I am still looking
for a committee boat that would be able to finish Turkey Cup. I
will be able to start the race but won't be able to finish it
since I plan to be setting up for dinner and cooking Turkeys.
Thanks

Dave;
You mentioned earlier that there might be dinghy races. Still doing that
or not because of weather?
The cruiser is packed for winter but the dink is still out.

Date: 13 Nov 2003 13:27:11 -0700
Hey All
Hard to tell what the weather will do this Saturday but for now I
am still planning to hold the Turkey Cup race. If weather does
not allow for racing we will still have the turkey dinner around
4pm. Remember this dinner is free but a side dish will be
appreciated.
If you have RSVP'd but need to cancel please let me know. If you
havn't RSVP'd yet please let me know so I know how much turkey to
bring. It's looking like a good turnout right now.
Skippers Meeting at 10:30pm
Race starts at 12:00noon
Dinner at 4:00pm
I still need a finish boat.
And don't forget about the Bottom of the Pit party on December
20th.
Thanks
Dave Shearer

Dave,
Debra and I are planning to come to the dinner. We probably won't be

Dave,
Thanks for the invite and all you do for the sailing community. I
enjoyed the day and my crewman, who had never been on the GSL before left
saying "I gotta buy a boat".
