Gayle Stever is THE source of Trek. If you says it's true, it's true.
ENOUGTH said. I have NEVER had any reason to doubt her.
Yesterday (February 29, 2000) a tabloid news report surfaced from
Australia
claiming, among other things, that Chase Masterson had attempted to take
her own life during a recent convention there. I just got off the phone
with Chase. . .she explained exactly what happened to me and the entire
thing is a misunderstanding that has gotten blown out of proportion. She
did not attempt to "jump from a moving car." What she did, in fact, was
try
to step out of the car as it was starting up in order to make a phone
call
on a cell phone. It was a mistake and nothing more.
I realize that other first-person sources are making claims as to what
happened. I just wanted fans to know what Chase's version of the story
is.
Personally, I believe her.
Gayle Stever
