Subject: (TrekTrade) Posting messages with MS-Outlook
Hello everyone!
This problem is getting more and more frequent. Because the members of
this list use a variety of mail readers all messages should be posted in
simple ascii text with no formatting (color/font changes). Not posting
simple ascii text means your message won't be able to be read by everyone
meaning possible missed sale/trade opportunities.
Outlook Express and Outlook98 are the two biggest culprits. People who use
Outlook probably don't realize that their messages are only viewed properly
by others who use Outlook also. The rest of us get funny characters, no
hard returns or other strange display problems. This is caused by the way
Outlook encodes the messages. The following info can be used to configure
Outlook to send "Friendly" text.
- -----------------Outlook send email everyone can read-----------------------
SECTION C: Configure Outlook to Send Friendly Text
A lot of people are using Outlook and Outlook Express as their mail client
under Windows '95 and NT. Unfortunately, the default character set under
Express for email is 8859-1.
To fix this, do the following:
If you are using Outlook, go to [Tools], [Services], Select [Internet
Mail], then [Properties], and select [Message Format], unselect [Use
MIME], choose [Character Set], and select [USASCII].
Under Outlook98 select [Tools], [Options], [Mail Format], then [Message
Format], and choose [Plain Text] and hit [Apply].

Hi Everyone,
What do you call it when you go into a store, and just for the heck of
it buy a few 6 packs of cards and get an autograph card out of it? ? ?
Fate? The force was with me?
Yep, I got an Odo/Rene Auberjonois autograph card. Looks just like the
one i have scaned on my DS9 Profiles page. :)
http://www.super-highway.net/users/capcom/deep_space_profiles.html
The price has fluctuated so much on these cards i,m not sure what to
sell it for. It's gone as high as $120+ and as low as $60 or so. So
gimmy an offer.. :|
BTW: got a bunch of Trek and B5 cards on eBay that go to sold today and
tomarrow. Check it out:
