The card listed for $100 is NOT the same as common card #291. It's a
very
rare card, so rare we don't have one to picture in the magazine. In
truth, I
haven't even seen one, but more than one of our price guide sources tell
us
they exist, so we list 'em.
Sorry I can't be of more help right now. If I get more info about the
card in
the future, I'll be sure to put it in the mag.

Actually, I belive if you check, what NSU lists as $300 is the PROMO
sheet sent to dealers, which is different then the ones that were
mail-in. The mail-in ones had no R1-R9 number, and had a 1996 date, the
promo sheet had numbers and have a 1995 copyright. Only 200 of the promo
sheets were sent to dealers, whereas an unlimited number of the mail-ins
exist.
So, NSU is correct on this one though I saw one sell for $300 and one
NOT sell for $300, so who knows. I have both and there are scans
available if anyone were interested in seeing the differences.
AS to the below, I know of alot of urban myths that start the same way.
When I see an image of it AND the Episode One survey card they say
exists, I'll eat crow I guess.
As a dealer for Skybox, it kinda surprises me that we as dealers wouldnt
have gotten one of these rare promos, that's usually at least one group
who sees them.
Anybody else with any thoughts?
