I think this emblem might have been used in the Animated series; it probably also appears in the original ST Technical Manual. If I have to I will cite a page # when I get home tonight... Ben

I was plesantly surprised with ENTERPRISE - I like the look for the most part, and the casting seems pretty good too. It looks like Star Trek too with phasers, communicators, sensors, translators, transporters etc and not the primitive primordial pre-starfleet series were led to expect. I don't see any reason why these characters, these plots, the 'newest' ship, etc, couldn't have been set in the 24th century, continuing the timeline of the ST universe, instead of trying to fit into - or ignoring - the preestablished ST history.
