Does this guy you know, have a sealed box of the Star Trek cards, or ever
seen one? I'm just wondering if such an item exists.

Hello all. I went ahead and complained to eBay about those inappropriate sexy pictures linked to non-ST items annoyingly keyed to the term "star trek"; here is part of the response I got:
Upon review of the information that you have provided, we have
determined that the seller has violated eBay policy. I wanted to let you
know that I have warned the member against any future activity of this
type.

I missed the rest of this thread; were the pictures of Trek actors, or completely unrelated (just curious)?

As you have said Lynne, presales, esp w/ Rittenhouse, are dangerous. The dealer has to promise to deliver something they don't have, and the buyer doesn't know the market value yet.
I stopped buying boxes when SkyBox couldn't guarantee a complete basic set in a box, and created too many rare (and expensive to collect) chase cards. Heck, they couldn't even guarantee an autograph in every box by the end. I think factory sets and mini-master sets are boring (witness the Cinema cards ST I-VI), but completists need to have some reasonable expectation of being able to make a set. Thank goodness for TrekTrade where we can swap singles as well as chase cards and variations (ugh).

Right, Jim. The backs were blank. The cards were printed on different color stock, so some cards have grey backs, some beige, some more white. Anybody know if this difference makes a difference? Anybody have singles to trade? Ben
