2003 Spring Fling Swap
Here's a brief run down of how things will be handled. I'm going to
set a deadline for everyone to sign up. Once I have a final number
of participants, I will then e-mail everyone the number of items they
need to send. Depending on how many people sign up we might decide
to split some into groups instead of all staying as one large group.
Your thoughts on this would be appreciated.
We will have a new theme for each swap and the sign up deadline will
be by the 15th of that month. I'm not going to put a limit on the
participants, however if the number of participants exceeds a
reasonable limit (we don't want you sending 60 items) you might see
some recipes in the booklet that you will not receive an example of.
In the past I have had people calling me upset that they didn't get a
soap from each person in the booklet. Just wanted to clarify this so
everyone understands.
We will pick a winner from each group or swap and they will receive a
$15 gift certificate at MMS. It's been decided that we will also
give some honorable mentions, we have so many great soaps we just
have to brag about them.
This email is your confirmation of sign up. I will let people sign
up until the deadline. On deadline day (15th of each month) you will
receive an email noting the number of items to send. Your items are
due in our office by the 30th of each month. Once you have your
recipe finalized please E-MAIL me a copy of your recipe, the deadline
for submission of your recipe is the 25th of each month. The sooner I
get these the easier it makes getting the booklets ready. I can
actually start to layout the booklet before your items even arrive to
me.

the determined number of items- it is much more fun if everyone will
wrap and identify their items so each person participating in the
swap will know who they came from.
** Your check for $6.00 for return freight. We will use UPS whenever possible.
Here are the themes for the next couple of swaps so everyone will
have plenty of time to prepare.
March-April- "Spring Fling", signup March 15, items due March 30
May-June- "Stars & Stripes", signup May 15, items due May 30
July-August- "New Beginnings", signup July 15, items due by July 30
September-October- "Tis the Season", signup Sept. 15, items due by Sept 30.
We hope the themes given will be inspirational in advance of the
applicable season so you can prepare gifts and items for sale.

Hello Sage Friends-
I made a mistake!! Urgh! I had edited my standard swap response and
apparently not read it thoroughly enough when I sent the swap
announcement. Too many things to do so little time. =) I have
created some confusion, I apologize. The paragraph in question
stated-

What I meant was-
You will have to e-mail me your information, stating you want to
participate in the swap. Then that "e-mail" will be your
confirmation of sign up. You would never just automatically be
signed up. Sorry for the confusion.
