Subject: (sage-news) Many new products
Date: 16 Aug 2000 21:18:54 -0600
Wow! A lot has happened during the last month since we finished moving
into our new warehouse in Logan Utah.
Since we now have enough room that we don't have to go outside to change
our mind, we have started to add new products to our line up.
Please visit http://www.the-sage.com/catalog/new.html to get more details
on these products.
We have added two new coursnesses of salt. You can now choose from a
course salt, a medium salt and a fine salt.
We now can handle Melt & Pour soap base in a much bigger way. This has
allowed us to drop the price and also add a white soap base to the
transparent soap base that we already have. Melt & Pour soap base comes in
32 oz, 5 lbs, 10 lbs, 25 lbs and 50 lbs sizes.
We now have Hemp oil. This is a must if you are into exotic creations and
oils.
We have a new European Tube container. It is a 4.5 oz container that is a
translucent plastic (like our frosted bottles). The really neat thing
about this is that the dispensing cap is not the top of the bottle, but the
bottom. This keeps your lotion or soap gel next to the cap, ready to
dispense without having to shake the bottle.
We also have several new fragrance oil and four new essential oils. The
fragrance oils are English Violets, Dewberry and JamBerry. The essentials
are Litsea Cubeba, Citronella, Balsam Peru and Ylang Ylang Burbon.
We also have added scrubing additives such as ground luffa and ground
apricot seed.
Wow! With a list this long, I need to send this message out more often.
Thank you for your support, and please let us know if you are looking for
something that it appears that we don't have. We might have it, or we
might consider getting it for you.
Dirk

Subject: (sage-news) June Swap Winners
Date: 22 Aug 2000 11:55:15 -0600
Hello Friends-
Just wanted to announce we finally came to an agreement on the
winners for the" How Does Your Garden Grow" soap swap. It really was
meant to be the June swap but, with our move it actually ended up
being more like a July swap. You can check out both winning recipes
in the recipes section of our web site, they'll be under "swap
winners".
Our winners include-
Helping Hands Garden Soap-
was created by Sharyl Fuller at Celestial Creations. Sharyl's soap
was adorable, it was in the shape of a small flower pot and packaged
in a hand stamped bag tied off with a peice of jute. Way to go
Sharyl!
Country Lavender-
was created by Wanda Pirson, our first Canadian winner. Wanda's
lavender soap wooed even the anti-lavender gal we have around the
warehouse (Tina). I absolutely loved the way the crinkle cut soap
looked in the purple wrap and the navy tie. I think Lavender soaps
should be a requirement for every bathroom owner.
Congrats again to both Sharyl and Wanda.
Chow-
Steph

Subject: (sage-news) September Soap Exchange
Date: 30 Aug 2000 10:28:25 -0600
MMS SEPTEMBER " AUTUMN HARVEST" SOAP EXCHANGE-
THEME: "Autumn Harvest" will be the theme for the September
Soap Exchange.
As our summer draws to an end here in Utah I find myself
anxiously awaiting the
signs of autumn. The changing color on the mountain trees and
the college students
returning are a few of the items that always mark this time
of year. We are sure
you too are seeing signs of fall in your area as the plants
always give the signs
before the leaves change color. Take a few ideas from your
unique locale an design
an autumn harvest celebration for this swap.
*** Did you know we have been advised our mountains could get
snow this weekend?! Gadzooks!
WHAT: Each participant will need to send eight bars of soap along with the
recipe for their creations. It is a requirement that
all 8 bars are all the same.
(Recipes are not required but they really add to the
fun of the whole swap experience.) A
booklet will be put together for each member containing
recipes from each participant.
Please send your mailing address and recipe via email
so I can just format away! <G>
A check or money order in the amount of $4.30 in U.S funds
must also be included in each
box. This money will be used to cover the shipping costs on
your return packages. To
ensure this amount will cover shipping costs keep soap sizes
in the range of 2-4
ounces per bar. Thank you for your consideration.
WHEN: This swap will run for the month of September, all soaps will need to
be to me by the 26th of September. I will get
booklets ready and ship the boxes back
out by the first or second week of October.
WHERE: Please send all item to my attention at address below.
Majestic Mountain Sage
Attn: Stephanie
881 West 700 North Suite 107
Logan, Utah 84321
WHY: Each month we try to come up with an original theme to keep
things exciting. At the end
of each swap I will choose one or two people whose
soaps best represented the theme for
that particular month. The winner will be featured
through the following month on our new
"Let's Swap Soap Page", plus they'll receive a MMS gift
certificate to insure they'll be
able to keep their addiction going. (for the next
swap, of course).
Please let me know if you have any questions or would
like to make a suggestion for an
upcoming theme. You can contact me at:
steph@the-sage.com if you're interested and I'll
get a confirmation message out to you. All you'll need to do
is return it and you'll be
officially signed up and ready to go.
