Subject: RS: Need a stamp
I received a pin type stamp from someone out there in stamp land a
long time ago. I thought I would describe what the stamp looks like
to all of you stampers and see if you recognize it. I'm not currently
subscribed to the list...so please reply back to the address above.
The stamp says "The Stamp Queen is Shopping". It has a crown at the
bottom with a small rubber stamp in the middle of the crown. It also
has a border that looks like pearls mixed with rubber stamps. Whoever
made this, put clasp through the top of stamp handle and then through
the described stamp. It makes a great pin. Anyway, if any you know
of who the manufacturer of these stamps are, please let me know.
Thanks,
Stampalicious aka Marci Williams

Here's what I have: Nick Bantock's newest book, THE FORGETTING ROOM.
I bought this, then found one at a book store that was a signed copy, and
really
wanted it, so I bought it too. Now I have two of them. NOT selling the
signed
copy (LOL!) but if anyone would like the other, it cost $22.00, and if
you'd like
to trade me something of a like amount, (papers, wild fiber, UMs...what
else??)
let me know. Once again, a beautiful Bantock book, filled with cool
Bantock art.
(Oh, it's hard cover, first edition.)

Subject: RS: Germaine's SSS6 or Raker!!!
Hi!
I had an amazing mail day today, I will let you all know what I got later, but
I am very confused. I received a lovely package with some cardstock, three
mounted stamps, some EP, and lovely cancelled postage stamps that I collect.
The package was postmarked from Texas with NO RTN ADDRESS!! MY SSS6 and I
have been in contact and she is in Washington (or so she told me!!) and there
is not a hint anywhere as to whom this could be from!.
So, I thank you if this was from my SSS6 or from an Rak'er who obviously chose
to remain annoymous. Either way, I loved it all, but the suspense is killing
me...so please fess up!
The stamps that I got were a bunny rabbit, Simba from the Lion King!, and an
adorable cat with the saying "hang in there"!. They are really cute!.
The cardstock is marbeled (very similiar to the stuff that I bought from Karen
Harris!)
The EP was a neat mixture of brown and some other colors, which will look
great on some of my Teddy bear stamps----can't wait to try it!
And the postage stamps are amazing...there are from all over the world. I
have been making a keepsake box for myself with super special stamps (like
these) and I should be able to finish it up very soon!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

>From Reader's Digest:
****************************************************************************
A pastor I know of uses a standard liturgy for funerals. To personalize
each service, he enters a "find and replace" command into his word
processor. The computer then finds the name of the deceased from the
previous funeral and replaces it with the name of the deceased for the
upcoming one.
Not long ago, the pastor told the computer to find the name "Mary" and
replace it with "Edna". The next morning, the funeral was going smoothly
until the congregation intoned the Apostle's Creed. "Jesus Christ," they
read from the preprinted program, "born of the Virgin Edna."

Not getting into too much detail, but in the next 48 hours or so we will
find out if we have to leave Kodiak - it all hinges on some meetings
that my DH's boss is having with 'the bigwigs' today and tomorrow. If
things go badly, we have no option but to leave, since there is no other
work for my husband here. We don't really relish the thought of moving
again - (even though there are days we wished we lived somewhere other
than on an island) so good thoughts and prayers would really be
appreciated!
Thanks,

Subject: RS: My BIG Mail Day
So many goodies in the mail today...
A very pretty thank you card from Ann Sakagawa. I love the liquid
applique and glitter. I'm so glitter challenged that I don't touch the
stuff. LOL! Also, Ann's such a sweetie, she sent me a box of chocolate
covered macadamia nuts! You'll just have to drool, cuz I'm not sharing!
I received a very pretty thank you card from Robin Cramer. The card has
water lilies embossed in gold on vellum and layered over the same stamped
image colored in on white cardstock. A very pretty dragonfly is popped
up over the embosses image. Very pretty. Thank you, Robin.
I received my "Stamped by..." stamp from RubberD. Thanks Wen for the
great service. I can't wait to use my new stamp!
I got the Copper Leaf catalog. Cool. I'll have to wait till later to
really look at it, but I love the chili pepper wreath.
Well, that's it for today!

I used to have a Mens store in Sarasota, Fla. One of the things I had in the
store was an iron, and I could iron anything onto something else...as long as
I had the special iron on letters...
I had a whole list of things people would come in and ask for ...similiar to
ironing a saying on a T shirt....anyway...
So go out and get your guy some briefs or boxers ...and you can stamp
anything on them where ever you want to on the underwear... go have fun with
it... then wrap it up in my new stencil... lol
Regardless if you use my stencil...this is a really cool idea.... kathie

Subject: RS: TAN: I got RAK'd three times!!!
Wow! What a great mail day! I got three different RAK's today.
First of all, from Kelly Haga I got a super cute card with sunflowers and
gingham paper and a raffia bow at the top. Kelly, how did you know I love
sunflowers?
Second, I got a cute House Mouse (?) card from Kathy McCaffrey. It has
one mouse looking in the mirror and putting on lipstick and her friend is
holding up the mirror for her. The lipstick tube is bigger than they are! Too
adorable! Inside it says "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder." And Kathy
sent this in an envy she made from a calendar page. I have got to learn how to
make my own envies! It looks so good!
The third card, from Linda Israel, was in a clear envy. I have never seen
one before, so this was a real treat. Linda made a cute card with scribbly
hearts and purple mulberry paper, and pink background paper that says "From
the Heart" over and over. And I just looked at the hearts and they seem almost
like they are laminated. Anyway, they look great!
Thanks to all three of you ladies! I reallllly needed these beautiful
cards today. If any of you have toddlers at home, you know what I mean when I
say I have had a trying day!
Shel

Subject: RS: Orders received from Vendors
I must apologize profusely for not posting this sooner! This year has
really been somewhat in a turmoil. I ordered several things from
several vendors in the last 3 weeks and I want to post that they have
been received.
Lynette Walters-Wolf stamp I ordered was perfect!
Paper Pallett-The Valentine special, grabbag of papers and clear envys
were beautiful. I just now had time to go thru them one by one.
Mona Everett-Star Card (book)- I realize you may not be out there for a
week or two but maybe you'll get this eventually. I still have yet to
try the book! See how behind I am.
Rubber Stamped-The word print stamps were exactly what I was looking
for. And the ink I ordered was great. It was for one of the cats eyes
that everybody's been talking about. I had a green one that seemed
somewhat dry.
Wenonah-I realize we are still waiting on one more thing to come in but
everything else was great, the hearts and flowers corner and the
snowscape wheel.
Ellen Gengler- I do love the rollagraph system. I want every one of
them now. My dd loves them too.
Happy Rubber-The rubber grabbag was kewl. I'm going to sit down and do
the Happy Rubber Stamp Club thing now. I do like your stamps. Now is
it you with the VW bus???? I don't know about that????
I don't think I forgot any vendors. If I did pleeeeeezzzzze forgive me.
I'm still digging thru stuff. I got most everything I ordered within
the same week so it was pretty kewl around here after work seeing all my
new toys. I went crazy shopping didn't I. If you sent extra little
goodies I thank you too. It's always fun to get extra little things.
If I owe you money I am trying to figure that out too. If I do owe you
might drop me an e-mail that you haven't received it yet. Thanksssssss.
