Subject: RS: QUESTION
Besides stamping, xstitching, tasselmaking, water coloring, book binding,
and etc; I also carve real eggs. Eggury we call them.. Lost art
actually. Theres even Egg shows (that i havent been to in 4 years). I
use dental equipments to cut and do delicate work on eggs.
Since I have moved and I am now converting bedroom into office/workshop
and I ve got people waiting in line (practically) for the eggs. I have
just about everything I need except boxes.. Where can I find those small
boxes.. that you find at gift stores they are about 3x3x3 either white
or natural (and they go all the way up to 10x10x10 and etc...) I need
LOTS of them.. Natural preferably but will settle for white...
I am sure people can use card size boxes as well for their cards to give
as gift or to sell.
Thank you in advance...

This statement about not being responsible is not true, as many
others have found out it the past with copyright laws. Having

Subject: RS: SSS5 Package Rcvd
My SSS sent me a December package. My SS for the last six months has
been Allyson Reed. Thank you so much, Allyson for all the great treats
and stamps and such you have sent my way. I have appreciated them
greatly.
In this months package: Lilly Pilly and Buttercup stamps from Stamps
Happen; liquid paper correction pen (I can't wait to try this out like
Dee on her videos), Kona Christmas Kissses gourmet coffee (I'm anxious
to have this with a cheese cake we received for Xmas), a pewter teddy
bear ornament and teddy bear note card set (I love 'em!), and a box of
chocolate covered macadamia nuts (they will also be grea with the
coffee, if they last that long;). I've loved all the treats from HI,
it's been so nice. Allyson also sent a christmas card. It's a cow
wearing a Santa hat, and chewing holly, she has a cute bow on her tail
and bells around her neck.
Thanks again!

Subject: RS: Greycat back!
Hi everyone,
The good news is that I have my computer back!
The bad news is that the lightning fried everything, except the
serial card and the video card. My hard drives are toast.
I stored entirely too much stuff on there without printing it out.
I'm going to be the backup queen from now on!
If anyone has a copy of my cardstock or exotic paper catalogs
could you email it to me? I really dread typing in all the descriptions and
figuring out all the prices again.
If you have a paper of the month subscription for yourself or a friend, please
contact me. I lost my database.
If you emailed me in the past couple weeks please do so again. My ISP decided
yesterday that I had too much mail and cleaned it all out.
Happy Saturday!

Ginny, I received my Happy Rubber grab bag today... in a well wrapped
package. I wish I had ordered two of them! It is almost as though you
looked in my head and picked out images that I would be crazy about.
The stars you sent are wonderful - I saw them in Anno's grab bag and
hinted and hinted, but, NOOOO, she wouldn't take the hint and offer to
trade <G>. So now I have my own. And the almost whole sheet of trees
contains a palm tree that is almost exactly like the state tree of South
Carolina! I could go on and on about individual images that I love, but
I don't want to make everyone else any more jealous than they already
are.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Please count me in the vast numbers of
satisfied customers of Happy Rubber Stamps.

Hi Ann ~ The list has been getting some e-cards sent to *all* of us, as
holiday greetings, etc. Just look at the "To". If it's to "rubberstampers",
it is either for all of us or sometimes a SS. Read the beginning part of the
msg, that usually gives you a clue as to whom it's for. Hope this helps!

From: Shannon Green <sgreen@wf.net>
Subject: RS: Master Swap List, Newbie Groups and Stuff
I've received many requests for a recent update on the Master Swap List and
I'm working as fast as I can to get it compiled. I was unsubbed for about
a week for vacation so I'm sure I missed some swap posts. If you have a
new swap that has become official since December 20th it might be a good
idea to email me directly with the specifics so I can get it on the list
(sgreen@wf.net). Just wanted to let you know I'm not ignoring your
requests, I'm just trying to get caught up on a million and one things.
I promised to acknowledge and describe the gorgeous cards I've received
over the past couple of weeks and I'm also working on that. And I know I
owe one of the Newbie Swap Groups a set of Christmas cards *blush* and you
all WILL receive them. Just think of them as your Valentine poinsettia. I
don't go on vacation very often and I didn't plan well for all the
preparations that were required. And if anyone in the last round of the
Newbie Swap Groups is delinquent in sending your cards and hasn't notified
your swapmates, shame on you and you'll be hearing from me.
I apologize for the delays but I do plan to have everything under control
by Monday night. The Swap List will be posted on Monday since lots of
people unsub over the weekend and I don't want them to miss out. If anyone
needs anything else, just drop an email and I'll take care of it.
Oh and I got my match for the SSS6 and I'm completely floored for reasons I
can't divulge. MOM and Dad have a twisted sense of humor (and don't even
try to tell me it was the luck of the draw) and I LOVE it!! I like playing
in the SS Swap because since I'm shopping for someone else I go ahead and
buy for myself too. Oh boy, oh boy! I'm going to fill out a new Wish List
when I can get around to it.
For those that have asked, I'll be at the Dallas convention with bells on
and nothing else so I should be easy to spot. And I can't remember the
date of our next stamp club meeting or what I volunteered to bring...help??
And Victoria Flaherty...I love you.

I use clothespins instead of chip-clips, so there is a bunch in the junk
drawer in the kitchen......anyway he got out all the clothespins and clipped
them on all my cosmetic sponges and told me that was the way to keep ink off
my hands when sponging.

From: rsmith <rsmith@uoguelph.ca>
Subject: RS: Handbound book swap received!
Here are the little treasures that I got:
Amy Alford - accordian travel-theme book
cover: real map paper
inside: deckle-edged accordianed-paper with travel theme stamps on both
sides
The book is tied together with gold ribbon.
Nice work, I especially like the used of real map to create covers.
Mona Everett
cover: exotic paper - black and silver (the type of paper that looks like
it's been crumpled, dipped in silver than uncrumpled)
inside: signature is pamphlet-stitched to the exotic cover.
A very dramatic looking book.
Darlene Troyer - a lovely and stirring tribute to Curtis Uyeda
cover: tan wallpaper that looks like handmade paper. Folded to form a
wallet. The flap tucks into a slit. A stamped image of a japanese
person is cut out and adhered to cork which is adhered to the
wallpaper cover.
inside: A textured golden bead is attached to the binding thread that
holds the signature of paper to the cover.
The bead hangs to the outside of the wallet. On the pages is
a beautiful poem to commemorate Curtis Uyeda. Stamped japanese
images adorn the pages.
Tdrinla - corrugated cardboard cover. Collage of coca cola images,
handmade paper, a sweet bear and confetti hearts. The cover is tied
together with red ribbon. A darling booklet.
Ajlum
cover: white matboard with a button and ribbon closure to keep the booklet
shut
inside: a nice surpise, each page is a paper pocket (see Somerset Studios
premier issue for instructions on how to make these). When I opened
the first pocket I found a LOVE magnet ( a gift within a gift - I
enjoyed that). Each pocket is made of different paper -
one was made of vellum, another, a colourful page from a glossy
magazine (great idea). Each pocket is stitched to tapes (ribbons),
the ribbon in glued to the covers. The
procedure is explained in 'Cover to Cover' by Shereen La Plantz
(p.52-55).
This is the first time I've actually had an actual sample of a
booklet that used this method of binding.
I'm inspired. Avery clever combination of techniques.
Thanks for hosting a handmade book swap, Mona. I thoroughly enjoyed this
swap and I hope you consider doing another in the near future.
