I've never seen your set, but it reminds me of an ad I just saw from
Printworks.  It's a set of flower pieces that you put together to create
your own shapes and it looks quite versatile.  Did you see that ad?

It was my computer - which connected me up to GEnie oh those years and
years ago.  It was there I met Stampo and many other very talented
stampers who taught me what rubberstamping is all about.  Were it not for
my wonderful PC (actually it was 2 PCs ago), I'd still be one of those
know nothings with two stamps stuck in the back of a drawer somewhere.

I don't do GEnie anymore, but I'm still an avid stamper thanks to those
good people I met way back when who put me on the right path.

Debbie,
I like Tombow's MonoAdhesive (permanent) because it is dry and flat.  I
don't use it for everything because it can be too expensive for large
areas.  If you shop around you might find it discounted at an office supply
shop, or use a 40% off coupon at Michael's.

electrifying experience.

Well, maybe it's not a concussion, but I cold-cocked myself when I ran into a
shelf my FIL had attached to his back porch.  It was raining & I was trying to
stay under the porch cover, plus I was walking on soft dirt & trying to watch
my footing when I rammed the side of my head into it.

I dropped Charlie's leash.  While I was standing there, holding my brains in,
trying not to die, he wandered off a little way.  There's a thin wire strand
between my FILs property & his neighbor's.  It's thin because it's
electrified.  It's very low current but--hey, the ground was wet & so was
Charlie.  I had no idea he was so close to it until he let out a scream &
started to "dance."  POOOOR BABY!  I immediately forgot I was dying & called
him to me.  Got him up on the porch & sat there & hugged him while he
trembled.

We're both OK, altho' I do have visions every once in awhile~~~~~~

Since nobody has answered this yet, I'll take a stab at it.  An Ott Lite
is a high intensity, glare free, light with the same color temperature
as sunlight.  It comes as a portable lamp, and as a desk lamp.  It may
come in other styles, but I haven't seen them.  The best price I've seen
so far was at Office Max.

Hiya Paula Jo,

Two thoughts:

The first has to do with "moisturizing" your house.  Set several pans of
water around, particularly near the fireplace or on top of furniture near
the registers.  You'll all feel better if you've some moisture in the air.
You can also be a humidifier...shouldn't be very expensive and that works
really well.

Secondly, as for the dry skin...go to the health food store near
you...there's gotta be one.  Tell them you need a really good skin hydrator
without lanolin...they should be able to help you.  If not, let me know
asap, and I'll get mine to sell me something wonderful and I'll send it to
you...

That 8 drawer one sounds great!  We have 8 of the mini-chests.  My DH
switched the parts around a little so that I have one with 6 big drawers
and one small drawer for the kids art supplies, and I have one with 7
little drawers (I think that is the arrangement) to organize some of my
stamping stuff.

My SS this round was Mariann  of S.C.P. Stamps! She has been wonderful.  No
wonder I got all those sheets of unmounteds.  This package was
great--puzzles to stamp, fabric daisys, a snowman stamp, confetti, gold
embossing powder, sparkle and two neat Chrrristmas gifts-a geat moose
ornament made out of nuts (I collect ornaments and this was perfect) and a
ceramic Santa plate to display.  I'll remember you every year at this time
when I pull these out.

Thanks for all the terrific packages this round.  I have really enjoyed
giving and receiving packages.  I hope that you have had a fun time also.

Hi,

I rubber cement my UM to fun foam, cut them out and the use aileens tack
it over and over on the back.  I have 5 large binders with acrylic pages
in them.  One is for people divided into men, women, couples, kids and
body parts.  One is for words, one for animals, one for things (also
subdivided) and one for nature stuff.  This works very well for me.  I
can store over 800 stamps in a 2 foot by 3 foot area.

 How I keep track of what I have is that I have another small loose leaf
binder and I stamp each image in it before I can put them in my big
binders.  I write the date I got it and what company it is from.  I have
dividers in this binder too so that I can keep the images organized.  In
the back I have a sheet that has all my pens by color and samples of my
EP.  This way I can take it with me to a stamp store or convention and
know exactly what I have.  It is also really neat for just getting
inspired.  Instead of digging through piles of stamps I just flip through
my image folder.

This is a perennial problem, and one that, I think, I may have solved... at
least for a while.

I bought a box of heavy duty plastic see through covers.  I three hole
punched them so they'd fit into loose leaf binders.  I use a small piece of
HALO tape to attach them, by subject, on the pages.  I got a bunch of ...
well, they're sorta like clear envys except they are sticky on the back.
One of those goes on the back of each sheet.  Into it I put a sheet of
paper on which I've stamped the images, as they appear on the front of the
plastic sheet.

So, I've got these sheets arranged alphabetically by subject, and I use
HALOS to attach the stamps to the pages.  Then each page is stamped out
onto thin paper which lives in an envy on the back of the page.

I think I'm gonna like this alot.

I've written the company or where I got the stamp (and the date) under each
stamped image, so that info is also available (where I've remembered to
write it down... I'm gonna be MUCH better about that from now on....)

Anyone have a good remedy for the pain of a bee sting? That's right, December
26, in Wisconsin and I got stung by a bee! In my house! While I was stamping!
I killed it with my heat gun! (see other post) It was in my slipper and I
thought it was a splinter or a straight pin (I also sew in that room), but no,
it was a big ol' bee. Didn't it know it was supposed to be hibernating? I have
no idea how it got in the house and I did not hear it buzzing around. Anyway,
I put Bactine on it right away--I did not see the stinger, but it is on the
side of my ankle and I can't really see it that well (trifocals). I cannot
remember the last time I was stung by a bee (if ever). Anyway, it hurts and
I'm whining. Thanks for any tips. Mona

  I ordered a few sets of Tria Pens from Ingrid Yadao of
Ingrid's Stampin' Pad.  This was about two weeks before
Christmas--*and* I ordered sets she didn't have in stock.
I knew there was no way I would get these before Christmas,
but ordered them for a present (to me!) anyway.

  They were in my mailbox on Christmas Eve!!  I haven't been
able to post about this because I was literally on my way
out of town when I got the mail, but I was thrilled with the
speed and accuracy of Ingrid's service.  This is not my first
order from her, and it will definately not be my last!

Just before Christmas, I was stamping and a spider crawled across the rug (I
think it came in on a fireplace log and thawed out). I HATE spiders, so I
turned my heat gun on it and killed it, while yelling for DH to come and get
it away from me. He showed up and I was telling him, "Don't *touch* it!", so
he picked up the double-stick tape and lifted the spider up and tossed it

I have too many unmounteds to keep them in one binder and I'm too lazy to keep
up with several binders.  So-o-o - I keep mine in pendaflex hanging file
folders in a file cabinet.  I still use the indexing method of stamping the
image on some cheap cardstock (bought from Office Depot), then I insert that
into plastic sheet protectors.  I then put some hook tape directly on the
sheet protector, next to the image, and then affix the die.  All of the rubber
is categorized and it's easy to access - my file cabinet is at the end of my
stamp table.  Everyone has a different method but this is what works best for
me!

I keep mine in size A envelopes in photo boxes.  I stamp the envelope
with the images and then write the name of the company on the
envelope so I know who to credit with the stamps.  I then store the
envelopes in those boxes you can get to store photos or videos in.
These work perfectly.  I have about 12 boxes now holding over 900
stamps with room to grow.  :-)  It is easy to change the topic name
on the front of the boxes too, when I move stuff around to give more
space.

I also stamp them in my "catalog" - a three ring binder, divided by
catagory.  Brown ink means mounted, red ink means unmounted.  It is a
great system, if I must say so myself.

I now have 1325 individual stamps.  My goal was 1400 by this year's
end, so I guess I need to go shopping tomorrow!  :-)
