  77. and a large majority of the men don't wear anything under their kilts in the
  78. hope that someone will look!!!

  81. entertain her for the afternoon.  The two men in the kilts were the HIGHLIGHT

  115. Just a thought here.  Many artists have reduced their paintings to cards,
  116. and on the back are not ony credits to the artist, but often a bit of
  117. biography as well.

  119. It may be a stretch for some of us to realize that we are artists also.  I
  120. suspect the reluctance to put our names and stamp credits on the back
  121. comes, at least in part, because it is hard to credit oursselves as "real"
  122. artists.

  147. Well--I don't mean it interferes in the actual mailing (getting it in the
  148. envy, etc.)--I just don't think stamp credits written or pasted are
  149. aesthetically pleasing and the majority of people I send personal mail to
  150. are not the least bit interested in stamp companies and I like to write MY
  151. message on the card. Of course, I still think it's fine to give yourself
  152. credit permanently on the card for making it. This is just my
  153. opinion--should have known better.....

  183. Oh Beverly, NAH!!!!!!  First of all, NOBODY is EVER satisfied with the
  184. quality of their cards.  Second of all, EVERYBODY was a newbie,  Third of
  185. all, the idea here is to grow and have fun.  Ya' can't grow and have fun if
  186. you stamp in isolation. Fourth of all (is there such a thing?), you will be
  187. astonished when you read how much people like your work, even with uneven
  188. edges, messy embossing, coloring outside the line, finger marks, or
  189. whatever your particular mess-ups might be. If you've been reading the TAN
  190. about judging swap cards, you'll know that even the long-time stampers are
  191. concerned about not being creative enough or messing up, or whatever.
  192.  
  193. You go, girl!!!  Have fun!!!  Learn new stuff.  Add it to your skills.

  240. I'm a true newbie, and pretty much a lurker too, but I had to jump in 
  241. and say to Beverly that the one swap I have gotten back did blow me 
  242. away - I mean, I'll never be able to do some of the stuff I saw, and 
  243. I'm considering framing them and submitting them to the museum of 
  244. art, however, my favorite one was beautiful, like I'm sure yours are, 
  245. but it was also somewhat duplicatable (is that a word, oh well, you 
  246. know what I mean).  Anyway, this is the card that truly inspired me 
  247. because I may just some day come close to being able to copy it.

  514. I really like this years PSX catalogue. It's 224 pages long and has lots
  515. of coloured pictures of cards and frames made with PSX stamps. The best
  516. thing is it comes with a  64 page Craft Project Guide that explains how to
  517. make all the projects in the catalogue.
