Hey Lil Inker,
Thanks so much for the kind words (blushing) about my card! Glad you
liked it.
The "Eats & Treats" deli shop card is yes, to cut out, put together and
use as a decoration or yes put gift inside. You need to cut 2 of the
design (I can't remember if I sent you 2 or just one???) but photocopy
another if you only have one and then cut them out and put them
together. Color it in however you want.
Enjoy!

Hello All,
I sent this thing out with my newbie swap cards and someone suggested
that I offer to pass it around. Read on and if you are interested, send
me a SASE for a copy of it. Email me for my snail mail addy.
The Eats & Treats Deli is like a gingerbread house but a deli instead.
You make two copies of the drawing, color it, cut it out and then glue
it together to form a building (the deli). Each copy or rather one side
of the building takes a full 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of cardstock. Very cute
and fun to color in. Someone suggested putting gifts inside, I use mine
for a Christmas decoration.
Happy to share with anyone!

Geez, Ann... You make me feel like Superwoman! Go ahead...
keep that talk up and I may even become that wonderful! :{<>
And I take back what I said to you in private... agreeing that your
colors are probably "flaming red" (heh, heh, snort, snort).
You're a "bleeding heart red" for sure with a swash of cerulean
blue on "those days" and a heart of gold that you try very hard to
hide (but you can't fool me!), and I can't even begin to tell you how
much your call meant to me this morning. Of course, if I'd known
you were going to rat on me to the whole list, I probably would have
painted a different picture of Mr Evo. :}>
Yes... he's not bouncing back as fast as we would like... it's in his
breathing, though, not his heart or arteries. If I were to name his
colors right now, they would be...
Sparkling gold for the laughter he brings to where he is and the
situation he's in; a touch of blue for his state of mind ... thinking
he would be home by now but not; sterling silver for his intentions...
(he asked me to design a "Thank You" stamp today and send it off
to the engraver and even drew it out on paper for me and whether
or not he really does anything with this stamp, we know his intentions
are good :}>); the orange and blue of the U of Fla Gators for politely
throwing me out of his room this afternoon because I was talking
during the 1st quarter of the football game and he can do that and
I can understand that because I'm his wife; and ... emerald green
for the color of healthy, flourishing life, because that's where he's
gonna be.
And, yes... it was ok to post our addy, Ann, and yes... his birthday
is the 15th and yes.... Happy Birthday to all of you October people!
Ann, Karen, Teresa, Betsy... and I know there are a LOT more,
because October people are very creative and caring and have a
really hard time trying to do the Libra balancing dance for some of
us crazies! :{<>
And while I have the floor, so to speak, may I say, please continue to
place your orders and don't think you're "bothering" me. So many of
you are apologizing for ordering during this time. Rubberstamping is
our life and our sole business, and I promise you I can handle your
orders. I'm surprising even myself... and I feel good about being able
to keep up! :}>
I'm behind in one area... the custom stamps. They just went out to the
engraver... a couple (or several) weeks late and I apologize for this.
But, there's an up side to this! Watch for a forth-coming Comm...
interesting new plates of rubber in the works as of this weekend. :}>
Well, another area I'm behind in, too. Emails to a lot of you! I've tried
to keep up with order emails (and I THINK I have, but if I've missed
you, PLEASE let me know) but there are sooooo many others I wish I
had time to respond to. Please know that I've appreciated every note
and card ... and I probably will never be able to tell all of you personally.
And that bothers me, yes it does.

From: stampatti@juno.com (Patti Welsh)
Subject: RS: My Tip of the day
Here's a new thing I tried today. You probably all do it already, but I
just discovered it and it's a great look.
I had a piece of tracing paper that was nearly used up and about to throw
away, but there was still a small empty piece (about 2.5" X 3") so I
thought I'd test out a new snowman stamp there.
I stamped it in black and it looked pretty nice. So now I said, "Can't
waste this image. What shall I do with it? Looks a little like vellum
doesn't it? hmmm....." Turned it over and colored it with markers, and
it actually looked even more like vellum. Of course, too flimsy to use
as an overlay.
So I cut it out and trimmed it with fancy edgers. Then, using miracle
tape, I taped it to a piece of confetti paper, colored side down. It
looked like the confetti was snow, showing through the tracing paper all
around the snowman. It has a totally different look than anything I've
seen before, and feels so nice to touch too. I trimmed again, and
mounted it on blue snowflake background paper, then mounted that on
silver prisma sticker paper and all that on a blue card. Really nice
look altogther.
But anyway, my tip is you can stamp on tracing paper and get a
vellum-like look.
I might try this for a stained glass look too.

These are the colors I think radiate from here:
Burnt Orange, Rusty Gold, and soft deep teal with perhaps a swirl of
terra cotta and a touch of coral. I guess the answer here is "plaid?"
Oh, it sounds so pretty, I may have to go do a watercolor background

Is pot clay really brown? Or more terra cotta (rust)? Either way,
sounds like I like it.

Subject: Re: RS: Crystal Lacquer
OK- First you take a stamp. My favorite for this is a group of fruit. If
you use the clear crystal lacquer then you need to color in the image.
Color it dark because this stuff will lighten it some. If you have a
bunch of grapes, use various colors of purple and then put the lacquer on
a few grapes at a time. To give a bumpy feel to the finished project, put
the lacquer on grapes that don't touch. Let those dry (approx 20-30min)
Then do the other grapes. My bunch of grapes need 4 separate fill and dry
times to complete. Now that I have the colored crystal lacquer, I need to
play with it to see what it will do. The fruit bunch has a pear, an
apple, grapes, blueberries, a strawberry, and raspberries. The
raspberries and blueberries, I do the same as the grapes to get the
*feel* of the fruit. For the strawberry, after filling the fruit and
letting it dry,I put a tiny dot of lacquer over the seeds. For the pear,
I rough it a little with an emory board (I guess fine sandpaper would
work too). I try to get the apple as smooth as possible.
***BIG IMPORTANT TIP***
crystal lacquer will clog the tip of the bottle. If you keep it inverted
on a *wet* (not just damp) rag in a bowl it will keep the tip clear in
between dry and fill times.
I hope this has helped you understand a bit more. Oh, I have also used it
on an ice cream cone and an ice cube to make them look wet. It works
great for water too.

Subject: RS: Paper Metallices
I picked up Louella Lishnish's class schedule while at the Lake Geneva
convention last weekend. One of their classed sounds interesting, but I
can't take it because of the 150+ miles to her store!!
The class description is: " Paper Metallics. An incredible new look for
your embossed cards. A truly monochromatic metallic finish, perfect for
your most elegant cards. We will be using the Marvy Metallic pens in
combination with regular embossing. The burnished look you will achieve
is incredible"
Does anyone have a clue as to how to do this??? The class is nest
Saturday, FYI.
