  64. The "Eats & Treats" deli shop card is yes, to cut out, put together and
  65. use as a decoration or yes put gift inside.  You need to cut 2 of the
  66. design (I can't remember if I sent you 2 or just one???) but photocopy
  67. another if you only have one and then cut them out and put them
  68. together.  Color it in however you want.

  86. I sent this thing out with my newbie swap cards and someone suggested
  87. that I offer to pass it around.  Read on and if you are interested, send
  88. me a SASE for a copy of it.  Email me for my snail mail addy.

  90. The Eats & Treats Deli is like a gingerbread house but a deli instead. 
  91. You make two copies of the drawing, color it, cut it out and then glue
  92. it together to form a building (the deli).  Each copy or rather one side
  93. of the building takes a full 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of cardstock.  Very cute
  94. and fun to color in.  Someone suggested putting gifts inside, I use mine
  95. for a Christmas decoration.

  272. breathing, though, not his heart or arteries.  If I were to name his

  276. situation he's in;  a touch of blue for his state of mind ... thinking 
  277. he would be home by now but not; sterling silver for his intentions...
  278. (he asked me to design a "Thank You" stamp today and send it off 
  279. to the engraver and even drew it out on paper for me and whether 
  280. or not he really does anything with this stamp, we know his intentions 
  281. are good  :}>); the orange and blue of the U of Fla Gators for politely 
  282. throwing me out of his room this afternoon because I was talking 
  283. during the 1st quarter of the football game and he can do that and
  284. I can understand that because I'm his wife; and ... emerald green
  285. for the color of healthy, flourishing life, because that's where he's

  311. and card ... and I probably will never be able to tell all of you personally.

  587. Here's a new thing I tried today.  You probably all do it already, but I
  588. just discovered it and it's a great look.
  589.  
  590. I had a piece of tracing paper that was nearly used up and about to throw
  591. away, but there was still a small empty piece (about 2.5" X 3") so I
  592. thought I'd test out a new snowman stamp there.
  593.  
  594. I stamped it in black and it looked pretty nice.  So now I said, "Can't
  595. waste this image.  What shall I do with it?  Looks a little like vellum
  596. doesn't it? hmmm....."  Turned it over and colored it with markers, and
  597. it actually looked even more like vellum.  Of course, too flimsy to use
  598. as an overlay.  
  599. So I cut it out and trimmed it with fancy edgers. Then, using miracle
  600. tape, I taped it to a piece of confetti paper, colored side down.  It
  601. looked like the confetti was snow, showing through the tracing paper all
  602. around the snowman.  It has a totally different look than anything I've
  603. seen before, and feels so nice to touch too.  I trimmed again, and
  604. mounted it on blue snowflake background paper, then mounted that on
  605. silver prisma sticker paper and all that on a blue card.  Really nice
  606. look altogther.  
  607.  
  608. But anyway, my tip is you can stamp on tracing paper and get a
  609. vellum-like look.  
  610.  
  611. I might try this for a stained glass look too.

  816. OK- First you take a stamp. My favorite for this is a group of fruit. If
  817. you use the clear crystal lacquer then you need to color in the image.
  818. Color it dark because this stuff will lighten it some. If you have a
  819. bunch of grapes, use various colors of purple and then put the lacquer on
  820. a few grapes at a time. To give a bumpy feel to the finished project, put
  821. the lacquer on grapes that don't touch. Let those dry (approx 20-30min)
  822. Then do the other grapes. My bunch of grapes need 4 separate fill and dry
  823. times to complete. Now that I have the colored crystal lacquer, I need to
  824. play with it to see what it will do. The fruit bunch has a pear, an
  825. apple, grapes, blueberries, a strawberry, and raspberries. The
  826. raspberries and blueberries, I do the same as the grapes to get the
  827. *feel* of the fruit. For the strawberry, after filling the fruit and
  828. letting it dry,I put a tiny dot of lacquer over the seeds. For the pear,
  829. I rough it a little with an emory board (I guess fine sandpaper would
  830. work too). I try to get the apple as smooth as possible. 
  831.  
  832. ***BIG IMPORTANT TIP***
  833. crystal lacquer will clog the tip of the bottle. If you keep it inverted
  834. on a *wet* (not just damp) rag in a bowl it will keep the tip clear in
  835. between dry and fill times.

  837. I hope this has helped you understand a bit more. Oh, I have also used it
  838. on an ice cream cone and an ice cube to make them look wet. It works
  839. great for water too.
