Subject: RS: HUGS!!!!! {{{{{{HANS}}}}
Dear Hans..
Just got back from shopping and had a quick bite to eat. Was starting to feel a bit light
headed..so I figured I better get some sugar in my system before I had a problem.
I see I missed you this afternoon AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ARRRRRRRRRRAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGg
Ohh well, it's still nice to have messages from you waiting for me when I sneak on line. LOL
Went into Green Bay and went to a craft store....found the items I was needing to send to my secret
stamper friend....I'm late with her sept package, but she knew I would be so it's OK. I got her
a really cool paper cutter.... $40 but I had a 40% off coupon..LOL So I got it for a good price.
Makes me remember I am wanting one of these myself..LOL So I'll go buy one next time I have a 40%
off coupon. I also found some pretty plastic molds for paper casting..and I got the additive I was
needing ... so I'm all set now. Kara and I are in the process or ripping up paper for the
project. You rip up paper into tiny postage stamp size peices..then you let it set in water for a
few hours. (this softens up the paper) Then you put the wet paper peices in a blender and turn it
into pulp...LOL throw in a bit of the additive... then mix again in the blender. Then you just
pour out the pulp mixture into a sieve..so all the water can drain out...and you put the pulp in a
mold..... :-) Wallah!! Beautiful paper crafts.... :-) I think I found some molds that will
make wonderful Christmas ornaments. :-) Of course, I've already got all the paints and pastels
and chalks on hand to color it with.... so it will be quite an experiment doing this and making
something beautiful from it.
We also rented some movies for tonight...I told Roy I was in the mood to rent some movies and have
popcorn after supper and watch them. We got some good ones I think.... On called "The Saint"..one
called "The English Patient"..and one for the kids called "Jungle to Jungle"... should prove a very
interesting veiwing evening...LOL We have cable..but there's not anything on tonight worth
watching. Our cable company updated the lines..so now we have more channels to choose from. Last
night Roy and I were running thru the channels..seeing just what was there...found some really good
channels...but then...up pops this ahhh....ummm.... playboy channel...LOl..... I watched it for
about 5 minutes (must get past the "curiosity" phase you know..) and then I looked at Roy..he
looked at me...and I said Ohhhhhh YYUUUUUKKKKK...LOL So we've blocked THAT channel off..
LOL I'm amazed it took me a whole 5 minutes to find it was totally offensive.... ROFL Can't BELIEVE
the things they put on TV ....... and that people WATCH it....
I did very well with my little shopping spree today..... didn't spend all that much money..which
really suprised Roy. I just was not finding anything I "couldn't live without".... <sigh...> I
guess that means I'm getting old...LOL
Kara is still suffering with her cold....stuffy nose and cough...but she's sounding much better
than a few days ago. And Roy's sleeping...taking a MUCH needed nap. Angel baby got him out of bed
at 3 this morning.... she knows when it's the week end..and I think she's determined tohave her
daddy all to herself as much as possible. :-) She's such a daddy's girl..... I think Angel's also
got poison ivy.... Silja took her out to the pond last night...just to give her a chance to go
outside and stretch her little legs. Angel must have touched some poison ivy vines..and now she's
got red welts on her face, neck, arms and hands. They itch..and she scratches them..and that
spreads them all over her little body. Poor thing. I'm putting calamine lotion on her...and
that's really all you can do. It won't hurt her..and will be gone in a few days. I'll have to be
really careful about her walking out in the trees. I don't seem to be bothered by poison
ivy...neither is Kara, Blake or Roy...Angel must have more sensitive skin.
I "wiggled" Roy's boxer shorts at him this morning after talking with you...LOL He thought I was
crazy..wiggling at him like that...LOL Then I "admitted" to him they were HIS....and I never told
him he got them...LOL Unfortunatley, during that time of the day...too many kids were awake and I
was not able to wiggle more..ROFL I do like those boxer shorts... so comfy... and warm too.
The leaves are falling off the trees now..... lots of them...looks like it's raining leaves
outside. I think it's very beautiful, peaceful and serene.
I better scoot now and start ripping up some more paper.... I want to get a few of these "projects"
done so I can send them off to you and the family!!! :-)
{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{HANS}}}}}}}}}}}}}} big warm hugs...fierce hugs!!!! And glowing smiles...
You are in my thoughts often..and in my heart always! :-)
You loving Sis..

Subject: RS: Tan: Sandy Lemons Soap!!
I ordered Sandy Lemons soaps, and I can't tell you from my own
experience, no doubt my soap will be here on Monday, but my friend
called me just now from Las Vegas, raving about these soaps that her
mother received from Oaklahoma. Did I know anything about them??
She called her friend in Oaklahoma, thinking they were from her and was
just about getting ready to write a thank-you to Sandy Lemons!!!
The mother gets bed sores. She is bedridden and dying and the soaps are
so gentle for her sensitive skin. My friend and her husband have
sensitive skin also! The soaps sit in a pretty bowl near the bed where
the grandma can pickthem up, which she does and admire them and smell
them. And she is so thrilled!! So happy to have found such an
excellent gift for my friend. Thank-you Sandy. And Sandy lets you know
she is happy that you made an order and that she received the check and
when she sends them out. I mean I know when to start running my tub
water! This is indeed great service. And I hear that the soaps sampler
is not what you would think sampler size would be. They are generous
bars of soap!!

Depending on how much money and/or stamps you have. I would suggest 2
things. If I were to do it all over. I would definately get one of the
cabinets that I see adverstised in RSM. If money isn't available. Home
Depot has a wonder closet organizer it is white metal and you can stack on
top of each other. It goes under the trade name of Closet Maid. I have the
large 10 drawer one. I think I have about 700 stamps in it. With more room
to grow. I do double layer my stamps though. If you get two of these a
counter top fits over it as a stamp table.

uncle bob's den furniture when I was a kid.. with the brass nails and all
that always looked like gold to me.. comfy and elegant all at the same
time. and.. I don't think your in person color is much different from your

I think one of the main things men get out of
this group is that it is "Okay" to show concern
love, and support for their loved ones. How many
men do we know that think it is a weakness to
cry? How many men do we know that think it
is sissy to hug their sons? Male conditioning
takes a long time to turn around because they're
used to one set of concept and ways of doing
things because they learn from their parents.
Their parents didn't necessarily have to "say"
it wasn't ok to cry or that you don't hug your
sons, but they learn from what they have lived
with - not necessarily a generational thing, but
for some that says it all.

From: "Melissa Klap" <mklap@gte.net>
Subject: RS: Received October SSS package!
Wow, was I surprised to see my package arriving so quickly this month! SS
you are really on the ball!
I got a postcard that had a cute stamp of 2 dolls that says 'Friend to
Friend' and little hearts stamped in the corner. You have some really
pretty stamps. I loved the bible verse.
Everything was individually gift wrapped in blue and white checked paper.
I received 3 kinds of embossing powder, purple, gold, and satin pearl.
Beautiful! I also got a Kaleidacolor 'berry blaze' rainbow pad. I can't
wait to use this! I don't have any Kaleidacolor pads.
Another rollagraph wheel! This one is called "Teddy Bear Picnic". It has
little almost 'winnie the pooh' looking bears on it. Adorable!
One of Stampatti's calendars! I love this! I may be inspired to get more to
give as gifts. (I have to keep this one for *me me me* :)
A Somerset Studio magazine! I have been dying to see a copy of this!
25 sheets of the most gorgeous cardstock! It's 5 of 5 colors (red, pink,
yellow, blue, black) that are white on the other side. This paper is *so*
nice.
A stamp of a cottage from Simply Cute and Pretty. I had admired this image
before, so I recognized it right away!
A glue stick...great for scrapbooking (which I need to catch up on!).
Coffee pot and coffee cup stickers. *And* Hero Art's "Let's have coffee"
set! I see you've been paying attention, SS. The Hero Arts set is one that
I have definitely been wanting to get. I have big plans for it...I'm going
to make a shaker card with coffee beans in it :) That's me, the coffee
wife.
Thank you *so* much. I hope your SS is being *very* good to you! I've
always been amazed at your packages...it's as if I'd purchased these things
myself!
*hugs*

Subject: RS: Hey, Snail Mail Listees & Non-Listees!
Those of you who listed no LIKES: are frustrating me. How can I send out
extra RAKs in my Who Has/Likes Mystery Critter RAK if I don't know who likes
critters/ silly/ strange / maybe slightly risque?
I've gotten some names off there. I need more. If you're already on my
list, don't email me. But if you're un-RAKed & would like to be, send me your
mailing address. Also tell me if you have any preferences for the following:
cocker spaniel
sharpei
cat
tiger
iguana
frog
garden
turtle
koala
shark
lion
No guarantees on choice, so choose several so I can choose one. I'm still
looking for Robin. If she doesn't show soon, there will be a large horny
beast up for grabs!!

> How do you make a RAK for somebody you don't even know?
sometimes you just find something you HAVE to make, and have no particular
reason TO make it, so you make up a batch and mail 'em to people you don't
know! rofl! Like.. when Debbie sent me those gorgeous napkins out of the
blue, they were so gorgeous.. and one of the kinds just put me right in
mind of one of the stamps and that card just happened.. I had to do it..
NOW.. rofl! well.. first chance I got.. so I did 8 o f'em, and mailed 7 of
'em off to people I felt a need to send something.
otherwise.. just pretend someone hosted a friendship swap or whatever other
kind, and you signed up.. and make the cards for that.. and then pick some
people to mail 'em to.. you don't need to know anything about 'em, folks
will be warmed by the thought and appreciate the example no matter what it
is!
> How do you make anything when you don't even know what you have to begin
> with?
surely you have some vague idea what you have.. I'm all the time surprised
by something I find that I'd forgotten I had, when I go to root around for
something else.. rofl.. I don't have any space either..

what's goin' on on the rest of the table? I have stuff piled on one end of
our table at the moment.. and work all over the rest of it, pile everything
back at the end (that I don't put away I mean.. ) when I'm done.. then
every so often I put away a good part of the pile.. but most of my stuff
lives in containers here and there.. I got a big rubbermade tub full of
stamps (a big flat sweaterbox kind..), a craftstore tote full of..
miscellaney, a taller smaller rubbermade tote full of tissue papers and
exotics that are sheet size and more paper miscellaney, and cardstock by
the ream stored under a chair (with a skirt to the floor) in the living
room, by the smaller quantities in a file box and a big accordian file in
here too.. and what UM's I've got mounted at all are in a binder here at my
feet. why here? I dunno.. that's where it fit. the tubs live down the
back hall, on a utility shelf in the mudroom with all my other crafty stuff
(also in tubs).. oh.. and big pads of art paper and big rolls of full
sheets of exotics are tucked in wherever they fit back there on those
shelves too. but I expand to fill the table when I'm working, then
compact back into the end I've claimed for my stuff when I'm done for the
day. it's not ideal.. but it does work.. sorta.. I'm in total envy of
these folks who have whole rooms! go to sams and get one of those rolling
drawer things folks been talking about.. then you can put more stuff in
those drawers, and put your stuff that's sitting on the table on top, then
you can roll it somewhere else out of the way when you're done.. and you'll
have your whole section of the table for working.. the rolly thing can sit
next to you so you can still reach all your stuff.. or get a snack size
folding table and set it up when you're working.. leave your stuff where it
is and work on the foldy table.. or the other way around.. put the stuff
that lives on the table in some sort of container that's portable.. or on a
tray even.. and when you're working, set it on the chair next to you so is
handy and you'll have more table to work on..
gad.. when I'm workin' on something I take over the whole kitchen.. the big
hunk of counter that sticks out into the room and divides the part for
cooking from the part for eating gets filled all over, the table gets
inundated, I've got stuff on the stools, stuff on the chairs.. which is why
I don't stamp at night or on weekends.. my husband would have a stroke if
he ever saw the WHOLE mess.. rofl! he's got enough trouble with the paper
cutter becoming a near permanent fixture on the counter and the pile of
stuff at the end of the table that I just can't put all the way away..
I need a room of my own (with a door.. )..

Dear Eloise,
What timming!!! I just received your card for the Newbie Swap also!
Sorry I was a little late in mailing but now glad as it arrived on your
BDay!!! So happy that you liked the card and that it gave you new
ideas. Enjoy the charms also.
Now, for your card ---- Just wonderful! I read a ton so the bookmark
comes in very handy!!!! I like the crean card stock mixed with the (is
it wallpaper?) Pretty pink flowers and mint leaves on a darker green
background. The Bunny is soooooo cute and I love the way you colored
him. Did you color directly on the stamp or on the card? Can't figure
it out by looking at it? Thanks so much! I love it!
Oooooops, almost forgot! The gold on the card was all done with a Marvy
Metallic Gold paint pen. I like the goldness of the pen as compared
with a stamp pad.
Happy Stampin
