I just received the same cards from AntPam. You described it so well that I
don't think that I can make it sound any better. I love my card. I have
been wanting to buy a stamp like the one she used on the front and now I can
use it for cards like this.
THANKS a million AntPam.

I got my HALOS today. Not the kind you wear on your head of course but the
stamping kind. I can't believe how easy this system is. I had gotten a few
stamps from people that were unmounted. I thought I'd never be able to use
them, until now! This is the greatest. I can buy twice as many stamps because
I understand that unmounted stamps are usually half the price of mounted. So
my next question is: Who sells unmounteds besides Evo?
Thank you so much Ellen for the unbelievable fast service, the Christmas tree
dye and catalog. Plus the page for an example of storing unmounted stamps.
I'm so excited it's like learning about stamping all over again. I just wish
I was able to go to the convention in Arlington Heights. :^( so I could buy a
bunch of stamps.
I hope all is well with Mr. Evo.
Thanks again for the great service,
Carol

A member of the rubberstampers list gave me an idea. I know the flames
are going away for this round; however, just as the entire world never
gets along all the time, neither will we. I created this screen name for
flames. I am a member of the list though not subscribed to it under this
screen name.
If you get angry at somebody and want to write to them, send it to this
screen name. I will check it only once a day. I will send it back to you
so you may read it and then decide if you want to send it or not. I will
not, repeat, will not read any of the posts to this mail box.
This is my proposal. Do what you will.

Don't know if I'm a qualified enough stamper to post "a tip," but I have
found a good use for those large Bugs Bunny pictures you get when you buy
the Bugs stamps from the post office.
I have a stamp that says, "I Love You Bunches," and I put the large
sticker of Bugs on the front of the card, cut out the opening where the
stamp was and stamp the saying on hte inside so it shows through to the
front.

This is a GREAT idea! I'm going away for the weekend but know I'll have
some "downtime" on my hands and will be itching to stamp! I think I'll
try to take 15 minutes before we leave tonight to stamp up some index
cards so I can take my pencils and color at least!

My Halo's arrived yesterday and I couldn't send email till today. I really
like them and am so glad I ordered the ones with rounded edges. I appreciate
the prompt service and careful packaging of the order.
But now I am going to need some more loop tape and some hook tape strips. I
mounted nearly 100 um's and some foam backed with what I got with my initial
order. I kept looking at the stamps I had to mount and the amount of "stuff"
I had left and didn't think I would make it but I was amazed at how far the
backing went.

Hi Ann & all,
Sorry if I wasn't clear! They are the ball ornaments. The ones that feel
kind of rough, not the real shiny, slippery ones. They are plain.
I got mine at New York fabrics because the price was right but they sell
them alot of places: craft stores, import stores etc. They come in a ton
of colors: burgandy, green, red, pink, gold, white & blue to name some I
used. The blue ones look great with gold stars!
Hope this helps!
Always stamping,

I'm a little late in acknowledging these beautiful cards, and they have all
been described, but I wanted to thank the participants-I love them! And you
did a nice job with this swap, Linda, thank you.

Subject: RS: Suggestions for global stamps for class?
- -------------
I'm going to teach an after school RS class (to children) and the theme
must be global--the images would have to represent any aspect of various
cultures & daily life around the world. Any idea, and could you suggest
companies that would have these stamps? So far I have a small assortment
of animals from Africa. I could do animals all over the world, but I'd
like to offer the kids more variety. I'm paying for the stamps, so I'd
like to buy UMs when possible. I'm planning projects that they can finish
in an hour and a half so that each time they'll go home with something
special they can keep or give as a present.

I'd love to know a cure too!!! I finally have all 3 kids in school
(although the youngest is only in school half a day). I thought I'd have
alot of time for stamping. So what happens? I sit down in front of my
stamps and supplies and can't think of anything to do. Luckily, I have
another ailment that takes care of the problem. It is waking up in the
middle of the night with great ideas for cards and other stamping projects.
Thank heavens I learned to keep a notepad, pencil & small flashlight on
the bedstand! Lord knows I never remember the "great ideas" the next
morning!!! LOL

Subject: RS: AntPam's great shaker card
- -------------
I just got a fabulous shaker card from Antpam, plus she included
directions. I'm so glad because now I can try to make this type of card.
She used a stamp called Friendship Garden to stamp the outer paper and cut
out the center. That must have been tricky because she left a ribbon paper
that says "always blooming" across the bottom of the cutout oveal. This
probably makes sense only to the people who received the card! Suffice it
to say she did not just cut out an easy shape. The front was colored in
with vivid markers, and the word "Korn" was written on the label. She
attached it to foam core and filled it with candy corn. She hid the edges
of the foam core by covering them with green raffia. A card was attached
to the back. The entire effect is cheerful and bright, and it made my day.
Thank you so much!

Subject: RS: Tip of the Day
I've posted this before, but it's been awhile and we have lots of new folks.
Stamp with fruit! Ink up an unpeeled orange and stamp with that; makes a
great background. Or, slice off the end of a banana and stamp with that;
looks like a flower.
If you have a brayer with a removable handle, take off the handle, wrap
several different sized rubber bands around the brayer, reattach handle and
then roll this across a rainbow pad. Looks awesome. This is especially
neat if you brayer over textured paper such as the elephant hide paper.
Have fun!
