Hi, I received the loveliest card from Becky Bear today in our monthly

tulips in different colors. The flowers are tied with a teeny bow. How
did you get that look Becky? Thanks so much, Suzanne

PAPER ADD-INS
After you have blended the paper into pulp, you can add in
any number of items to make unique handmade papers. Confetti,
sequins, tiny bits of colored papers, finely torn bits of maps,
comics, money, dried flower petals, yarns, threads, spices, tea
grounds, coffee grounds, tumeric which will turn your paper yellow,
herbs, and even dryer lint will all give your efforts a truly handmade
look.
Place a few of the add-ins on top of the screen and then carefully
pour the slurry on top. Place more add-ins on top. Or you can mix the
add-ins into the slurry before pouring the mixture onto the screen.
ADDING COLOR TO YOUR PAPER
You can make beautiful handmade papers out of magazines, tissue
paper, junk mail, napkins, typing papers, construction paper, kleenix,
recycle paper that you previously made but did not particularly care
for, cardstock, and even dryer lint.
1. Recycle colored papers. Tearing up any of the above mentioned
papers will give you a fairly intensely colored page.
2. After the newly made paper has been couched and partially dryed,
you can gently dab the paper with the Brush Box dye-based inks. The
colors will spread and mix according to how much water is remaining
in the paper. If you don't want them to blend, wait until the paper
is completely dry before adding the ink.
3. You can paint your couching sheets with very concentrated watercolor.
As you couch your page, the color will transfer to your new paper. These
couch sheets will retain the color even after they have dried, so unless
you want that color on your next sheet of paper, do not reuse them.
4. You can add watercolor to your water which will result in faintly
colored paper. I made a piece of paper out of red tissue paper. The
red inks remained in my water containing my frame and deckle. The next
piece of white paper I tried to make was faintly tinged with pink. It
was a welcome addition at the time, but if you do NOT want to repeat a
color for your next piece of paper, I would recommend discarding the water
in between each piece of new paper you are making. ++
5. Adding spices to your slurry can also add color to your papers.
Tumeric will make the paper a bright yellow. Tea grounds will make
the paper a tannish color. I imagine coffee grounds would do the same
thing. Paprika, cinnamon, nutmeg, and various herbs will give unusual
bits of color AS WELL AS A "SMELLAVISION ". (I have added a couple of
drops of rose oil to give the paper a smell.)

I am physically disabled. I use a wheelchair mostly. I am also in a
monogomous relationship with someone who isn't disabled.
By trial and error we have found ways around certain posistions like me
on
top. Cause my knees are bad i can't put weight on them so we use a chair
instead. My lover sits down and that way no weight are on my knees.
I was wondering..are there any sex book especially written for the

DRYING THE PAPER
DRYING BY IRONING
In class we will use an iron to dry the paper. Place the new
sheet of paper on the ironing surface. Place a thin cloth over the
top. With an iron on high, iron slowly and without stopping over the
new sheet until dry.
DRYING BY MICROWAVE
You can place the newly made piece of paper on paper towels and
dry in the microwave. Heat the paper on high for 3 or 4 minutes.
Turn the paper over and repeat the process until paper is dry. This
paper will tend to crinkle. You can remedy this by placing the dried
paper between two pieces of wax paper and ironing it flat.
DRYING BY AIR
During the summer you can easily dry your paper outdoors, rather
quickly. Place the new sheet on a couple of paper towels and lay on the
concrete driveway, backporch, or any even surface. Placed directly
in the hot sun will quickly dry the paper. In 90 degree temperatures
the paper will take 3 or 4 hours to dry. The only problem with this
method is that the paper tends to crinkle. Repeat the ironing process
described above.
DRYING BY PAPER PRESS
A simple paper or flower press can also be used to dry the paper
more slowly and give it a more pliable texture and smoother surface.
Place the paper between absorbant newspaper or blotter sheets. Change
the sheets fairly often. The time on this method varies greatly with
temperatures and humidity. I've found that this method is really the
best for having a very pliable, flat, smooth sheet of paper as the
end result.

Once in a while I come across a reference to "masturbator's curve" (for
example, in the testimonials on the web page for the "Venus II" at the
Sybian site). The idea seems to be that frequent masturbation will cause
the penis to curve one way or the other. I'm not sure in which direction,
up, down, or to the side, the penis is supposed to curve.
My question: is this a real phenomenon, or is it more likely due to some
curvature or asymmetry that everyone has to some degree or another?

Hi,
Sorry I didn't get right back to you, Dad had his other knee operated on
today, and like the other one everything went really good!! You should
have or be getting the Judi-Kins order. It went out Saturday.
It will probably be awhile before any rubber from my catalog is burned.
Must figure out just what items will be best. But I must have the orchids,
they are beautiful, so I can safely say that one will be done. The rest
will depend on how much is ordered. Keep you up to date.

Subject: RS: Never Ending Card Swap Received
What a great swap - this one was fun!! Thanks to Michele for hosting
and for providing the idea (not to mention instructions) for this great
card.
>From Ardyth Brown - Everyone of these panels is a framable treasure.
She used Art Impressions people to describe a really rough week and it's
cure (rubber, of course). I am really amazed at the super coloring that
you did (Watercoloring). I can do technique and learn
construction...but this is true talent!! Love the metallic highlights.
And your letters are even straight - what next??
Lori Nelson did a variation on the pattern which gave a eight-sided
card. It is stamped with vibrant colors and stars and spirals. I would
have never known that this could be done!! Very cool!
Barbara Simpson's card is hilarious! Through the card she has the
lyrics to "This is the song that never ends..." It is wonderful - just
as the card flips back to the first panel, the song cycles back to the
beginning. Barbara did some great background stamping and she has some
really cute images along with the lyrics - such as "ends" is right there
at a llama's "end"! "My friends" has a group of cats, etc... I just
laughed and laughed - priceless!
Glenyce Mork made a bright yellow card which illustartes the phrase
"Laugh Often, Love Much, Live Well." Then "Sending you a great big Hug"
on the last panel. I love that sun stamp that you used!
Carol Ropp used an angel theme on blue cardstock. There is an angel
quote on each panel illustrated with lots of different angel images.
All colored in beautifully and yellow highlights on all the stars. You
must have quite the angel collection.
KalicoKitty had a neat idea - she used bookmark stamps on the panels -
with a coordinating image by its side. The final panel had a large
spray of flowers stamped. Great way to use those bookmark stamps (other
than the obvious!!).
Yazdel started with a natural, speckled cardstock and then filled it
with beautiful Christmas images stamped with a rainbow pad. She also
cut the corners with the Fiskars cutters (I think) and it is really neat
to see how they cycle through the card!
T. Durn - I wondered if anyone would use this theme - it is such a
natural!! TD Stamper did a panel for each of the four seasons -
stamping an image in each of the four sections of a panel and adding a
border along all the borders (like a window pane). Very neat card! I
love that Fall page!
Linda Edwards started with the phrase "Magic happens when you stamp".
Then there is a parade of really unusual and cool Rubber Moon images.
What cool stamps!!
Finally from an unnamed artist is a green card which uses a really nice
wreath stamp with small hearts on the wreath. I wonder who makes that
stamp??
Thanks again for all the wonderful ideas. I will be making many more of
these cards!

deleting and not having hissy fits. That message was intended to go to the
GL group and the GL group ONLY. I even deleted each and every addy on the

I'm just tired of all the whining about it from some of the GL group members
and was hoping to shut it up already. Never ever meant what I said to be

From: hornbrkj@nbnet.nb.ca (hornbrkj)
Subject: RS: ... Anno Ref. Vendor Lisa S.
This is my opinion on your post, Anno:
I appreciate your heart of compassion, but I have to wonder if your heart
isn't where your brain is supposed to be. Some of the stampers I've heard
from had problems with this vendor as long as 6 months ago. Short on
patience you say? I think not.
The difficulties to which you refer have not been verified -- unless on the
strength of your own good reputation on this list, you would like to be the
one *confirming* the sick child, the computer problems, the anxiety
attacks, the hospitalization, the single mom, no health insurance (hubby is
military - how can it be that there is no health insurance)?? A single
mom? She's fortunate to have the support and assistance of her mother (I
know that's not the same as a spouse .. but she is not the first mother to
be raising her children on her own). I take it that you are willing to
vouch for all of this, and for the many twists and turns that have appeared
in posts from this vendor to the list and e-mail to her customers?? I
found it a little peculiar that when this vendor was allegedly hospitalized
with a "nervous breakdown" (according to her own mother), that there was no
address forthcoming for cards, etc. At the first mention of the location
of the medical facility, all we heard of was a need for the vendor's
privacy ... *after* her own mother had reported on a diagnosis of a nervous
break down, which was "downgraded" within a few days to an "anxiety
attack."
Since you think we should be "ashamed", maybe you have some idea as to why
the vendor cashed the cheques of her customers, knowing full well that she
wasn't going to send the merchandise post haste?
Ashamed? No ma'am ... I am not the one who failed to meet commitments -
and you, Anno, seem to have forgotten who are the victims here ...
Don't you think the vendor would have rested easier knowing that her
commitments had been met - knowing that she had made restitution to those
who sent $$??
BTW, were you a customer of this vendor? What does she need us for? $30
donations for a pattern book of someone else's ideas? Or for more people
to send cheques that will be cashed, and then their correspondence ignored?
If this vendor advertises again; on an "unmoderated list", I will take the
position that I have the right to ask her publicly if she has met all of
her commitments to all of her customers.
Let me state that I have nothing personally against the vendor; I was not
even a customer of hers. It is the "principle" of taking the money from
customers and not completing the transaction that raises my hackles. It
only takes one bad apple to spoil the whole barrel. If any irresponsible
vendors operate on the list, how long will it be before list members
decide that it's not worth the "risk" to send their $$ to the vendors ...
and how long would it be *then* before the vendors decide that this isn't a
viable place to do business? And then, where would those of us be ... who
depend on list vendors? *I* depend on them and on their reliability ... I
can't drive 300 miles to Eastern Canada's only stamp store whenever I need
something.
We can have closure on all this when the vendor meets her obligation to all
her customers ... and you know those customers will be posting to the list
when they're received their product and/or refund ... so if it's good press
that the vendor wants, she knows how to get that, too.
Oh ... and do you know what? I've been divorced, left with a sick child
(sick, as in "open heart surgery"), no support payments, married the second
time, widowed three years later, have had a number of difficulties with my
son, have had major surgery 4 times, lost my precious mother a few years
back, have an illness that I deal with daily .... life goes on ... we pick
up our packs and we go on ..... I had to work two jobs at times, and it
wasn't easy, but I know that I never had to resort to anything disreputable
to get through it all. Ashamed? No, positively **NOT**.
If you've read all this, thank you.
I know you would like me to shut up now. So I will.
Ant Judy H.
