Depending on the size of the ribbon I use Miracle Tape to stick it down.
Wider tape for wider ribbon....

1. Elmer's glue (white)
2. Dryline temporary adhesive
3. Elmer's glue stick
4. Elmer's spray adhesive
5. Avery disappearing color glue stick
6. Double stick tape under the image
Thanks everyone. One of these is bound to work.

Subject: RS: Shrink Plastic and colored pencils
After all the discussion about inks and shrinks, I thought I'd share how
I resolved the problem...
Was working on a project and did not have access to stamp stores so had
to figure out a way to "make do" with the crafters pigment ink and my
colored pencils. I was doing earrings, and using a rather intricate
sunshine design .
The ink smeared when I tried to color in the design, and it was too
detailed to do the color one side and stamp the other method. So, I
stamped the sun onto a piece of paper, slid it under the shrink plastic,
colored the plastic as desired, and then, I used my PIP stamp positioner
to stamp the crafter ink over the already colored design. Voila...design
was colored and ready for the oven with no smears. Worked like a charm.

From: a.larue@juno.com
Subject: RS: Found a new(?) toy??
Hi all! Was shopping the other day and picked up a new paint...by
"Accent", just in with all the acrylic paints in the art section..it was
cheap ($1.49, I think) ...called "Crown Jewels..double pigmented acryllic
metallics" I got the color called "Baroque Pearl". I am not sure what
this translates out to actually be, but thought it cheap enough to invest
and play with. So I got the stuf out today while working on a swap.
Thought it might be kind of like interference paints. I ended up
diluting it with water and then using my bubble stamp and repeat stamping
all over a piece of light blue paper...made a nifty background paper.
Then I stamped over it using a dark blue Marvy and the final effect was
that the bubbles were on top of the marvy..sort of tranlucenty looking,
and kind of neat. Anybody else played with this stuff? Is it the same
as interference paint? It also gives sort of the same look when you
paint it over marker..the
look is colored pearlescent.
Anyway, it is kind of fun and I willdo some more experimenting,,

a feather that is just beautiful. I plan on having two sizes of this one.
Quinton, the duck - how do you describe a duck????? All I can really say
is that he is funny, cute and you'll love him on sight.
Sleeping baby fairy - curled up and sleeping with the most beautiful wings
imaginable
Asian Fairy - again with beautiful fully extended wings
a female bear - wearing a bonnet with flowers and bows, holding her purse
tightly in her lap, wearing knickers with bows on them.
I have asked Rini to create some more images, but I am not going to give
away any hints until Rini says I can.

Thank you Glenyce for the beautiful card you sent to me! A great frame
card using DJ Inkers Scraps and Stitches - gave me some great ideas for
a frame stamp that I have! She also included a bunch of neat stickers
she made using the same program - can't wait to put these on some cards
and packages!
Thanks for the smile, Glenyce - this came at a perfect time!

From: StamPerson@aol.com
Subject: RS: Gold and White Swap Received!!!
My first swap is in . . . hooray! The cards I received today are beautiful!
First of all, a special thanks to Debbie Franks (Frankly Stamping) for
hosting this super idea. I am REALLY excited about them!
Let me (attempt to) describe them.
Maren (Maren@alaska.net)--A white matte card, next a slightly smaller
rectangle of gold glossy paper. The next, slightly smaller, rectangle is a
white matte with a very delicate webbing, (perhaps it is embossed?) in gold.
There is a smaller square of white corrugated paper, which is offset so the
points face up, down, and the two sides of the card (in other words,
"kitty-cornered" rather than placed at the same angle as the others). On top
of this is a feather, which appears to be being carried in the beak of the
beautiful dove (Stampington). A very elegant card!
Nancy (Heartssso@aol.com)--A white matte card, rectangular, with a black
stitching just inside the pinking edge. Across the center of the rectangle
is a piece of white matte with a very delicate webbing, (perhaps it is
embossed?) in gold. There are two beautiful fern leaves (Rubber Stampede)
embossed in a glittery gold on the right, and two solid gold leaves on the
left, tied together with a gold ribbon bow, and topped by a heart! Stamped
black in the lower right is Happy Birthday. The card was presented in a
clear envelope. This is a warm and delightful card!
Karla (kwillia@ties.k12.mn.us)--This white card is stamped with a speckle
design in gold all over the front. There is a delicate gold ribbon that is 1
1/2 inches wide running from the top right (approximately) to just above the
bottom left. On top of the ribbon on the right side is a dove (attached with
mounting tape) . . . this dove (is it from DeNami?) is looking down into the
lower right corner of the card, which has a gold photo corner attached, and
is cut out . . . there is a wavy "cut out", and the littlel piece at the
bottom with the photo corner is attached to the inside. This was presented
in a clear envy with a poem on a sticker on the flap. This is a beautiful
card!
Deni (Denij@athenet.net)--This white glossy card has "Celebrate!" embossed in
a bright gold, and beneath that are three hearts lying on their sides,
touching each other . . . these are embossed in a glittery gold. Inside
three of these same hearts have been cut on both the outside and inside, then
folded, and 1/2 of the right and left side are attached to the card, so there
is a foldout trio of hearts when you open the card. All stamps on this card
are DeNami. This card is simply beautiful and elegant!
Carol (Inky Gal@aol.com)--This card starts as white matte, is then layered
with torn white mulberry paper, which covers most of the front of the card.
On top of that (but with a 3/4 inch border on both sides and about half an
inch top and bottom) is a layer of a patterned gold paper . . . this may be
sticker paper. And there are two doves (DeNami?) stamped on matte, embossed
in gold, and attached on top of the gold paper, but overlapping their tails
onto the mulberry paper. This card has a very delicate appearance and is
lovely.
Thank you for participating in this swap--I love the ideas!
Sara

Subject: RS: Aussie Swap No 2 received
These cards arrived a couple of days ago. They are just wonderful!
As many of the people in the swap aren't on the same mailing list (some not
on any lists at all - imagine!), Ally our wonderful hostess suggested that
everyone included a bit of info about themselves. I enjoyed reading about
all my fellow Aussie stampers almost as much as I enjoyed looking at the cards.
Bev Groves: used a lovely rose-patterned card, layered with a white and gold
ribbon and white paper with torn edges, stamped and embossed in gold with
the Hero Arts thank you word stamp. Over the top of this is layered a
smaller piece of white card, cut out with deckle edged scissors, edged in
embossed gold and stamped with the words "Thank You". I wish I could emboss
the edges of my cards like this! Bev has managed to get such thick and even
coverage of the card I'm quite jealous! Inside the card reads "your
thoughtfulness means so much to me thank you" And Bev has even included an
envelope with a cute little stamp on it with two bears holding ballons
saying thank you.
Angela Jenkins: A card with shell stamps - my favourite theme! She used a
Shell Frame stamp (Stamp-It) embossed in gold. Stamped inside the frame are
some cute little turtles - they look as if they are swimming across the
card. Inside the card says "Best wishes for a wonderful birthday"
Berni Nemeth: a card covered with rice paper - a really lovely floral print.
This is such a neat way to make a background! Layered over it is a piece of
corrugated purple cardboard and then Berni cut out a teddy bear stamp which
is beautifully coloured in with pencils. All the elements of the card tie
in together with a theme of soft purple colours - very effective.
Ally Smith: a stunning card. PSX bucket of tulips (I love this stamp),
stamped and embossed in white on parchment paper and then coloured in from
behind. The parchment paper is wrapped around a piece of linen-look card.
This technique is so effective, I'm going to have to order some parchment paper!
Moya Scaddan: another amazing card that I can't begin to do justice to.
This is a collage card with a stamped heiroglyphic background (Stamp Mania
Australia), a piece of old map (sponged with burgundy), some mulberry paper
(more heiroglyphics), a postoid, a burgundy feather and a seal made out of
DAS and stamped in gold with a kind of triangular pattern.
This was such a great swap -the quality of the cards is amazing. Many
thanks to Ally for hosting.
