Subject: RS: RAK'd by Ruthann Gigliotti!!!!
Received another RAK yesterday as well, and it was from Ruthann, one of
my favorite vendors on the list. She sent me a card with white glossy
cardstock and on that is layered some patterned paper with seashells all
over it, (I haven't seen this paper before) and at the bottom she has
some of that stuff that looks and feels like sand and on this she stamped
a woman in a pink dress holding a hat and she is mounted in the center of
the card.
But best of all is inside the card she sent me two pictures that she had
taken at the Stampaway Convention. One is taken inside the convention
hall of myself with Grandma Giggles and Vicki Maddox, and the other one
is at the Bicyle Bombay Club Restaurant and has several stampers around
the table and at the far end is of course Grandma Giggles and myself and
their is June Koziar and a couple others that I have blanked out on the
names. I am so bad, I just remember the rowdy ones. LOL!!!!!!!
Ruthann, Thank you so much for the pictures and as you requested in the
card, I will be glad to forward these on for Grandma Giggles to see.
Thank you again.

Subject: RS: RE: Bagalope Swap Received!
First I want to start by thanking Dianna for hosting this swap!! It was
a lot of fun!!
I received wonderful bags from:
1- Dianna herself!! A really neat bag that she used pink, blue and green
paint splatter rollagraph all over. Then she took a green square of
corrugated paper and then layered over this with a light green
fancy-edged square of paper with to and from on it and turned it kind of
"diamond-like". Really neat - love the colors!!
2 - Vicki (Cajun Stamper) - A gold-colored bag with a red southwestern
border on the top and bottom and in the middle it is stamped with "It's
in the bag" all across the center!! Really neat!!
3 - Val Kildaw - Used the hearts rollagraph with red and blue ink
diagonally on the bag. Then in the middle, she masked off and theres a
really pretty heart in the middle. Pretty!!
4 - Tammy Sue Reynolds - Small purple bag with a green embossed vine
across the bottom. On the top portion she has a small green square of
corrugated paper and then hooked through this is a lovely pin she made
using Hero Arts Lavender stamp!!! Very neat idea - never thought of
attaching a pin to the bag!!
5 - Eunice - An adorable bag with Pooh (my fav) and friends!! I love the
way you have the flap over the top!! Never thought of doing this
either!! Really, really cute!!
I really enjoyed participating in this swap and got lots of ideas to
try!!

I'm confused about this statement. Are you saying that Charles' actions are
not under the Queen's control or that Charles' actions are not under his

I don't mind seeing folks post to the list for referrals on vendors.... I
think it's a nice private way for a customer to find out the experiences
others have had....it's also a very wise idea!

Subject: RS: RAK'd by Stacia "Ink" Blodgett!!!!
I received a RAK yesterday from Stacia "Ink" Blodgett, and just about
died laughing, however my kids failed to see the humor in the RAK.
She sent me a postcard with Elvis stamped and mounted on it and at the
bottom of the postcard she stamped a "kodak" symbol so that the postcard
looks like an official Polaroid type picture, and on the back side it
says "For Bev - Elvis" as if Elvis really wrote on it.
And then Stacia sent a little stick note along with the postcard that
says "I saw Elvis at the laundromat and told him how distressed you were,
He said to tell you he is alive and well and sent the picture for you"
This is so flipping funny, and I just sat there and laughed and laughed
and laughed and my kids are going, "What is the big deal, it's just
Elvis" "What is so funny" They wouldn't understand, anyway.
Anyway, Thank you so much Stacia for making my day alot brighter, I will
treasure this forever. I just love it.

I received a pkg a few days ago from Bonnie Lass, with paper, charms,
different sizes of envelopes. This must be one of the grab bags she was
telling us about. It was a wonderful package, it will be so fun to play
with.I meant to write that evening, but have had meetings in the evenings,
shopping whenever my husband has time, and school in the morning. I'm sorry
I didn't thank you sooner. I love the pkg, but it came a day that we were
running and getting supplies for our kitchen. Doing major remodeling, I'll
have to write you privately and tell you all about it.
I have received such fun pkgs from you, and need to get busy and make some
cards showing what I have done with some of the stamps, and other things
you have sent. My oldest son came home from National Guard training, went
off to college, and is home this weekend to help with the kitchen. We have
been enjoying some of the tea you sent last month. I'm sure I forgot to
thank you for that last month. The raspberry tea is wonderful. My daughter
and I have both made cards with the bandana stamp you sent. We combined
that with a horse stamp we already had. Made a wonderful card for her
horseback riding instructor.
Got to go. Tonight we take our son back to college for the week. That will
be the pattern for several weeks, till the house is finished. Pick him up
Fri. afternoon, back Sun night. We need him here to help with the house,
and I'm sure he will enjoy being home for the few days. He said he missed
helping in the kitchen, so next weekend I'll put him to work cooking. Have
a good week, and again, THANK YOU.

Subject: RS: TAN re: Problems w/Vendors
There was a recent e-mail regarding not receiving orders/refunds from
on-line vendors. I would recommend that you respond to it and receive some
info on what action you can take to get your money/merchandise from a
vendor who has not followed through. I have not had time to get the full
details, but I think a vendor is allowed 60 days (something close to that)
to come through with your order. If there is a delay, they must, by law,
offer you a refund. Then, I think they are to wait another 30 days, and if
they still don't have your merchandise, they must offer you a refund again.
Otherwise, it is considered mail fraud and is subject to prosecution.
I know that this list is unmoderated, but I think we can use some caution
when it comes to problems with vendors. Is it possible to not allow a
vendor to sell on the list if there are "x" number of complaints? Anyone
out there who is a lawyer? Is this something we can do? I'm open to
suggestions.
I know that most of the vendors on the list are reputable, and based on the
glowing reports, they have GREAT service. However, I have read reports
about more than one vendor who has not come through with orders and this
bothers me. One instance is one too many.
Looking forward to your comments.

to know so she can correct it. Some SS's are rather reticent about what
they like or what they want when they fill out the questionnaire. I
guess they're afraid of being thought greedy. The trouble with that,
though, is it puts the sender in the position of needing to be psychic.
So, while having paroxysms of joy over every box is not necessary, some

I just got done baking these and thought I would share. I have to pack
lunches every day for DH and am always looking for easy recipes for bars
and cookies. My sister-in-law gave me this one - it's quick, you
usually always have the ingredients in the house, and when they're
baking, they make the whole house smell heavenly!
SWEDISH ALMOND BARS
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. melted butter or margarine
1/4 tsp salt
4-6 tsp almond extract, depending on how strong you want the almond
flavor.
sliced almonds
Grease and flour (or spray with non-stick spray) a 9x13 pan. Beat all
ingredients(except almonds) with an electric mixer until well blended.
Smooth evenly in pan and sprinkle with sugar and sliced almonds. Bake
at 325 degrees for 25-30 minutes

Isn't it true, at least since Henry VIII's time, the queen/king
have all been heads of the Anglican Church? The very purpose of changing
from Catholicism was so free Henry from the constraints it placed on him in
regards to marriage/divorce. Through history the royals have had marital
problems just like everybody else.
I sincerely doubt that the queen condones Charles' actions in
regards to Camilla. What should she do? Perhaps beheading would be proper
(okay, maybe that's going a bit too far), but seriously what could she
really do about it? It would be great if our children always did what we
wanted, but especially after a certain age, they have to decide for
themselves. If we are lucky, they follow the route we have been teaching
all their lives. Sometimes it just doesn't happen.
Realistically I believe we all come her with a certain
agenda/master plan and come "hell or high water" we follow that plan. I
also believe we are all here to learn lessons from each other and that's
why we meet/live with/talk to those we do.
All I'm really saying is don't be so quick to pass judgement over
things which are not under any human's control.

Subject: Re: RS: TAN re: Problems w/Vendors
Oh, Wenonah,
We all make mistakes and we're not talking about mistakes here. We're
actually talking about customers not receiving orders or refunds for orders
for several MONTHS. If a vendor has a problem getting the ordered filled,
then they're supposed to offer a refund. Otherwise, it's considered mail
fraud.
I think it's a great idea to ask the list for referrals, and as mentioned
before, it's very wise. I just don't want others to get into the same
problems that others are having, esp. if they're new and not sure what to
expect.

S.C.P. Stamps Customers,
I'm doing a survey to find out how many of you out there would not
mind recieving Graphics in your E-Mail from S.C.P. Stamps.
The reason I'm asking is because. As long as I know it's O.K. I will
be able to send you E-Mails with my new rubber stamp designs on them.
Meaning. I could send my regular advertisement with the price and
discription along with a nice graphic so you could see actual samples of
what is included in my new and future grab bag specials.
Anyone who is interested in recieving Graphic Images from time to time
to let you know and see new images that will be include in my Specials.
Please E-Mail me with "Yes Graphics" in the subject line to let me know
you are willing and able to recieve and I will put you on my list.
(I promise not to flood the pipes all the time)
"Luv"

Subject: Fwd: RS: How to get off the weird sex list
Jean,
Thank you for this nice note . . . I'm glad someone told you how to get off
the list. And, for what it's worth, it really isn't a very "naughty" group
on the whole. This group of notes is the first reference I've seen to
anything even remotely R/X rated! Most of the notes are about rubberstamping
and papercrafting topics.
However, you may also have noticed that we share comments about our family,
we joke and laugh about silly things, we get mad at each other sometimes, and
we frequently ask others for prayers (and get them!).
So, hopefully you and the other members of your group can laugh about it and
know what to do next time! And if any of you every want to learn about
rubberstamping . . . there's a lot of good info on this list!

do like I do: I have started noting the times that I sign on at Juno to
get mail, so that I don't exceed their 12 times in a 24 hour period rule.
It's fairly easy to keep it down if you note that you just checked your
mail 22 minutes ago, and surely it can wait a little while longer! <g>

So glad you liked the RAK card I sent. I just wanted to brighten the day of

What kind of other ways do you all RAK people? I'd just be interested in
knowing. I don't always pay attention to the RAK thank you's. Seems like
some of you get quite extravagent!!!

I second that thought: we ought to petition Frank to not only post the
list of deadbeats (these are the ones with no excuse, no answer, etc.)
but we also ought to ask that those people not be allowed to sign up for
it again.
