Subject: RS: What a great group - Thanks
I know it has been said before but I just want to tell everyone what a great
group of stampers we have here. I had requested cards for my mom in honor of
her 70th birthday. She got wonderful cards and was certainly surprised. She
is not easy to surprise and this did it!!!!! A huge rubber hug to the
following who sent her cards: Terri Bradbury, Diana/The Rubber Romper, Betsy
Bursey, DJ/The Happy Stamper, Carol Roop, Sandra Haycock, Susan/Coffee
Stamper, Sharon from Australia, Deb Coller, Ruth Soldavini, Tracy/Barefoot
Stamper, Cathy Holm, Sue Bentley, Stampcas, and my secret swap friend (who
didn't identify herself - darn). Thank you, thank you, thank you.

For permanent type of ink the only thing I have found to clean off the
stamps completely is permanent ink cleaner - they come with a dabber and
you roll it over the rubber. I don't care for the smell, so I then rub
them over a baby wipe so the rubber doesn't stink ;)

From: FranRShaw@aol.com
Subject: RS: Proposed "STATE/PROVINCE/COUNTRY SWAP"
I have this neat idea for a swap (actually saw this idea on another board and
wanted to expand upon it)
I would like to do a swap in which one person from each state, canadian
province, or foreign country would participate. Each person would make
enough cards to share with everyone... the cards MUST reflect something about
your state, province, or country. I know this sounds like a lot of work, but
I would give a lot of time (say 3-4 months).
The only catch is that ONLY one person from each state, province, country
could participate. BUT, stamper who live next to each other could make this
a "stamping day" and share the work, then divy up the cards.
Does this sound like something that would interest you? Please e-mail me and
let me know (also tell me what state/province/country you would be taking,
cause I have a feeling some will go fast!!) Of course, I have dibs on
Oregon!!!
So far the following are spoken for: Minnesotta, New Mexico, Texas, and
British Columbia (Canada).
As soon as I have a few more sign ups and decide to make this a GO, I will
post the Official information and e-mail everyone whose indicated interest.
Hugs,

I did figure out the fax thing (with win95.. on the other computer.. I've
not tried with this one.. ).. and I figured out some other stuff too.. but
there's one thing that's got me stymied. This computer came with microsoft
phone, and a microphone, so's you can use the pc like a speaker phone!
which might be cool, sometimes. but I've not messed with that at all. the
other thing it does is make the pc be an answering machine, and since we
don't have an answering machine, and since about the only time you can get
through on my lone phone line is when nobody's home (sigh), that part did
intrigue me.. so I got it all set up.. my younger kid recorded a message
and everything.. and I used it a couple times.. it works great! takes a
message and everything.. but it seems to be only capable of taking ONE
message. second call comes in, it whacks out, crashes, and takes the phone
line out with it. took a couple calls to the phone company (on the cel)
complainin' 'bout the line being dead to finally figure out that it was the
computer that was killing it.. shut down, turn it off, wait five minutes,
turn it back on and everything is cool again. but what a pain! I really
need to figure out what's makin' it DO that.. but I've got no clue where to
start..

on him. Background large postoid "Ruff, ruff, ruff, ruff. I love it.
Nanstamps: Green cardstock with a black background on which is stamped

Great card Nan.
Diana Johnson: Printed pansy background with a House Mouse design

House Mouse is my new found treasure and I love all their stamps. Wish
I could have one of everything. Soo cute!!!
Carole Mork: Light purple cardstock on which is layered wall paper,
yellow mylar shred and in the forefront green cardstock on which is
stamped and colored a bunny gathering flowers. All layered papers are
trimmed with fancy scissor. Lovely card Carole.
C. Saldana: Light dusty green cardstock on which is layered pink that
has been scalloped. On top of the pink is a white oval with a sweet
animal holding a bouquet of flowers. Who makes this stamp - it is so
sweet.
All the cards I received were just great. Super ideas gals.

> DOES ANYONE ACTUALLY EAT THIS STUFF?!!~~
I eat it! it makes great muffins/bread/cakes, and it's pretty good
stirfried too! unfortunately, I seem to be the only person on the planet
that cannot GROW zucchini. it grows great, blooms great, but never
produces a squash. next year I'ma plant 'em in the front flowerbed instead
of the garden and call 'em ornamental.

Somehow, I responded to the wrong message about the PetalPoints. It
looks like I am saying that Ellen's prices are about the same as
Michaels. Wrong. I was saying the Book Club prices were about the
same. Ellen's prices are just great. Sorry for the confusion.

I thought *I* was the only one who can't grow zucchini, anno.
I thought I had one starting to grow, but it got about an inch
long and rotted. I've had othr blossoms, but no others have grown.
I do have a couple of crook neck beginning to grow..almost the same,
but not quite.

Does anyone sell Impressive Stamps? I am considering becoming a
demonstrator with this company & would like some input as to your
experience with them either as a demonstrator, a hostess, or a consumer.
There is no one in our immediate area that sells this company. I actually
am trying to decide which company would be best for me, Stampin Up,
Impressive Stamps or ???.
Please email me privately for your views. Thank you!!
Always stamping,

Oh thank you, thank you dear SS,
When I opened the box yesterday, there was a pretty rose gift bag stuffed
to the hilt--Inside the gift bag were some pieces of wallpaper (great for
envys), some Pooh stickers (I haven't seen these ones before), tucked in a
box and wrapped in wallpaper was a Pooh corner stamp cancelling stamp by
All Night Media (it's kewl) and wrapped in tissue paper (which I did save)
was a box with 5 Winnie-the-Pooh stamps, a little pile of paper and an
inkpad by All Night Media----I didn't have any of these stamps :) Pooh is
just the cutest, isn't he? :) Oh and I can't forget the sparkly blue and
white finely shredded kinda like Easter grass stuff--I will have fun with
that :)
Thank you for all the wonderful package---I love every bit of it--Oh and to
answer your question, my favorite scent is vanilla
Thank you!!!

my crooknecks are goin' the same route as my zucchini's.. lush foliage,
profuse blossoms, nary a fruit. sigh. actually, now they're pretty dead
and dried up, but they were goin' great guns may/june/july.. I DID have a
good cucumber crop though (well.. good, considering I only had 2 plants
anyway..)!

Subject: RS: RS Linnzie Carves First Eraser!
Hi All,
I never thought I'd wanna carve an eraser as I'm a klutz, and blind in
one eye as well!<G> I *did* carve a potato stamp in Girl Scouts, but I
don't think that counts.
Well, when I was in the arts and crafts store the other evening, I saw
a lino cutter and blades<Speedball> for about 7 bucks, as well as the
Mars Staedler plastic erasers.
Today I bit the bullet and put the #1 blade in the handle and went at
it. I used the fine V-shaped thingie, and it was so easy to control, I
couldn't believe it! Wow I did a name stamp and a sun and some
symbols...and I'm hooked.
If anyone has some carving wisdom, puleeze post <or repost>. This is
real fun and almost instantly gratifying<G>. The stamped results
actually look as if I knew what I was doin'!<rofl>.
Cheers,
Linnzie about to use a large gouger<G>
