Subject: RS: Color-Erasing Markers
Does anyone know where to get markers that you write over something
colored with markers and it "erases" the marker? I have the Crayola
ones that change the colors (i.e. write over the turquoise with a
special marker and it turns yellow). I want the ones that "erase" the
color. For example if you color blue with a regular water-based marker
on a piece of white paper and then use this special marker and color
over a portion of the blue, the part you colored on turns white. I'd
like to get a bunch of these for my stamping friends.
Thanks!

From: Ann or Craig Graham <barbiec@ebicom.net>
Subject: RS: Ann's SSS package came for July and August
Thank you so much for sending this really neat package. It was fun going
through and seeing all of the different things. You have a great
imagination..:-)
Here is the list of what I got for the 2 months together.....
1. A small stamp of Garfield holding a cup of coffee in his bunny slippers.
I love this stamp. I have this on a magnet and it says "I don't do
mornings".. I love it.
2. There was 12 small garfield cards that she stamped for using as mailing
labels.. Thank you fo this.
3. 3 butterflies that have been stamped on black card stock and cut out.
What is the EP you used on these? Really pretty and love the feel of the EP.
4. a small roll of corogated(SP) cardboard. I want a crimper so I can make
these myself.. I love these.
5. A cow punch..I love cows..:-)
6. A cow keychain...moooooo :-)
7. a pack of 24 blank adhesive-backed sheets of sticker paper from ANM..
I've never used this before, can't wait to try it...
8. a pack of 36 recycled paper bookmarks.. These are pretty..
9. A pack of Mary Engelbreit Post-It Notes.. Really pretty...
10. 2 stamp pads from ANM..1 is brown, and the other is purple. Also a
Little Inkers from HA. It is black..
11. A really cute book of recycled paper called "Observations" I guess it
is for a journal..
12. A small pack of purple buttons from Lass Creations.
13. A pack of 6 buttons of Flowers in a pot. Really cute.
14. 4 packs of stickers. 2 small of stars, and bears, and 2 large of
balloons, and more bears..
15. A package of about 25 different paper cutouts of hearts, bears, etc.
These have a lot of possabilities(sp) of sponging..
15. A small bear figurine. She is so cute. She is sitting, and all dressed
up.. Thank you.. It will go on a shelf by the bed to look at everyday..
16. A Hot off the Press of New Styles in Stamping book. This is great for
all of the newbies out there, or even if you aren't a newbie. It has 13
different techniques. Here is a list of the techniques in the book.
1. Shaker Card
2. Three Folds Card
3. Explosion Card
4. Frame card
5. Window Card
6. Starbooks
7. Bookmark Cards
8. Bagalopes
9. Slider Pop Up cards
10. Color Magic cards
11. Tube Wringer Technique
12. Pop-Ups
13. Slider Cards
17. 2 pair of Friskers, one is the Victorian, and the other is the deckle
18. A cute tin of mice sitting out in the field with toad stools, and
butterflies. I love and collect tins, and love this.. ALSO...there was my
favorite candy in the tin. It was TasteTation chocolates.. I love these
candies, and always keep a bag og then handy in case I don't have other
chocolates handy..:-D
19. A Plaids Decorator Kit.. This really came in handy just now too. I just
took the border off my bedroom wall, and can use this on it. I can also use
it in the kitchen when I get to that wall. It has fruits, and leaves. I was
planning to stencil leaves around the bedroom. I am going to rag wash the
walls in a ivory over a olive green. Then paint a ivory border around the
top. This will be perfect to put the leaves on with after I paint the
border..:-) I can't wait..
20. Last but not least.....A big baggie full of some of the pretties swap
cards I could imagine. I loved these cards. They are beautiful... There was
also some confetti sprinkled in it too..
21.. Oh, I almost forgot.. There was also an eyeball in a bag..
Ewwwwwwww..LOL... It says I got my eye on you..
I would give it to my son, but he left last week and went to Michigan to
go to school.... SO I guess I will have to keep it for myself.. DARN..and I
wanted to give it to him.....:-)
Well....that is is for my July/August package. This was really great, and
I loved it all... Thank you so much for being a great SS this time. I was
really scared to try again after the last SSS, but am really glad I did.
You have really gone out of your way to send me emails, and virtual cards
to let me know you haven't forgotten me.. NOT to mention the phone calls.
Those were really great also. It gave me a chance to get to know you
better..:-) Oh, I forgtot, where did you get that pretty flower tissue
paper that was in the bottom of the box?/
Well, I have to get off, a storm is coming up and it is thundering. If I
lost the computer, I would be lost too...
Hugs and love, and a BIG thank you Sunshine..:-)
Love, Ann

there's instructions somewhere.. (here.. I found it..
http://www.firstascent.com/popup/starbook2.html ) to make them out of one
piece of paper.. which is kind of neat, way less trouble (I can't glue
worth a darn!) too.. you can do a real cute little tiny one that'll do a
star outta a 2x10 strip of paper.. so's you can get a nice batch of 4 outta
a single 8.5x11! way neat.. way cool!

Some of my favoirite RS manufacturer/vendors are: Art Impressions, AZ
stamps too, Too much fun, and many more
My favorite stamping technique is: stamping on vellum
I really don't like these kinds/styles of stamps/stamping: working on
my layering
I first discovered rubber stamping: when I was about 12, but it took my
SIL (Rannie Jo) to really get me hooked.
Delete any of the following statements which are not true for you.
Add any others I've forgotten which ARE true for you. Change the
wording of any of these to make them more true for you. Keep each
answer separated by a blank line for easier reading.
I emboss my stamping sometimes.
I like to buy mass quantities of unusual paper.
I like to buy embossing powders and inks.
I buy too many stamps.
I love word sayings and text stamps.
When people see my cards they say "Wow! That's beautiful!"
When people see my cards they sometimes, or usually, (pick one) say
"This is so funny!
When people see my cards they say "Whoa! How did you DO that??"
I can find my own way to the stamp store. Most of the time.
I have never participated in a swap before.
Continue the story time: (you might want to put your fill-in-the-blank
info
in quotation marks or parens so we can tell which is the form, and which
is
you speaking!
The other day I was fixing to "work in the orchard" when I
discovered "I had money in my purse I'd forgotten about" and decided to
change my
plans.
In fact, this discovery was so "great" I jumped in the
"car" and headed for the stamp store. As I walked in
the door, the owner said
"Wow, We've missed you!"
Nonetheless, I went ahead and picked out "a pile of stamps" and
marched right up to the cash register, where I proceeded to
"run back for more because I'd forgotten the perfect stamp to finish my
project".
On the way home to my "house", I stopped off at
"Costco" and did my usual
"amount of buying neat-o things I really don't need".
Which only goes to prove "I should have left those darn credit cards at
home",
reflecting my life's philosophy of
"spend now and worry about the bill later, a great stamp only comes
around so often!".

From: Lynette Walters <lynettew@ptialaska.net>
Subject: RS: Official Christmas Recipe Book Swap - update
Okay - we have quite a few players (50 so far), but would love lots
more!!
NAME OF SWAP: Christmas Recipe Book Swap
HOSTED BY: Lynette Walters - lynettew@ptialaska.net
ITEMS/THEME INFO: Recipe pages - enough for each participant (total
to be posted at a later date). Recipes should be done on an 8 1/2 x
11" sheet of paper, with sufficient room at the top and sides in case
people would like to attach the pages or put in a 3 ring binder.
Some type of rubberstamp design on the page, simple or elaborate - it's
up to you! It has been suggested that we use categories, so if you'd
like to submit more than one recipe and they are not in the same
category (i.e. cookies, cakes, desserts, main dishes, salads, etc.) it
would be nice if you did up pages for each. Please feel free to submit
as many recipes as you'd like! And if you would like to put some notes
about the recipe, like why it is a family favorite, or one handed down
thru your family, please do! And please, please, include your name and
email addy on the page somewhere - in case there is a question about
your recipe. If there are specific altitude directions, fat-free
alternatives, etc. please list those too! And if you have any other
suggestions, I would love to hear them!
SIGNUP DEADLINE: September 1ST
POSTMARKED BY: October 20TH
MAILING INFO: Please include $3 for a priority mailer - these would
be the least likely to damage the pages, plus get to all of you
sooner! Email me for my snail addy.
