  85. on the radio.  I had seen him MANY times at college concerts, and also on
  86. Broadway.  The day he died the world lost a great humanitarian.

  288. Can you believe that just yesterday I wrote to my SS and sobbed because
  289. my package hadn't arrived... Well Guess what! It came today! I am so
  290. excited! My SS sent me soooo much! I am just dying! I can't believe it!
  291. I sure feel like a creep for whining yesterday! I am so LUCKY! My SS
  292. Loves me! Here is a list of the the goodies!

  294. She put in Three cards with notes! She used some DOTS stamps... those
  295. are my favorites! One was a bunny slide and pop up card. There are
  296. easter eggs on the pop up! a very lovely card! and not an easy one. Then
  297. there is a bear card with butterflies! and an easter egg in a nest with
  298. grass and branches eluding to a tree! What a nice spring card! she
  299. included a note with a clue or two... I still don't know who you are...
  300. but keep the clues coming! I enjoyed reading your note! Then she asked
  301. someone to make a special card for my birthday! It is a very nice
  302. card... one of the looking through the windows card. A little boy
  303. looking through the window at a birthday cake and his dog pulling at his
  304. shirt! inside are the words.. Hope these wishes cheer you and brighten
  305. your day... and the cake is like illumintating off of the page! Your
  306. friend did a very nice job! A very lovely card. And it looks like she
  307. spent alot of time on it. Also, some bathsalts in a handstamped package
  308. came with it. They smell marvelous! On the outside is a bathroom scene
  309. and Just for you is stamped on it. Neat! I like this!

  311. She also sent a beautiful picture of the big fourth of July Angel from
  312. DOTS in colored pencils and four little angels... one on each corner in
  313. the same colors and there are stars on the matte board in the perfect
  314. spots! Under the angel is stamped Happy Fourth of July. What a nice
  315. surprise... My SS is very talented!

  319. She sent me tissue paper! I love Tissue Paper! It has confetti pieces
  320. all over it! I can definately use this one!

  322. I received some pretty pink mulberry paper! Oerfect timing too! I just
  323. used the last of mine up this week! And I really like the pink mulberry
  324. paper! I love pink and blue!

  326. I also am now th e proud owner of a butterfly punch! I love butterflies!
  327. This is really cute... My daughter also likes this one.=20

  329. then In the Garden Speckled back ground paper! Four sheets of four
  330. different colors... Garden tool, terra cotta, garden boot and straw hat!
  331. They are very fun colors and I will have a lot of fun with these!=20

  333. Two different kinds of embossing powder.. silver and clear! I am always
  334. running out of silver embossing powder. It is one of my favorites. I
  335. haven't tried the clear embossing powder, so this will be fun!

  337. And not just one magazine, but two! Wow  oh Wow! Somerset studios and
  338. the stampers sampler! Wow Wow Wow! This is great! I love looking at
  339. these! I take them to bed and read them! I share them with my friends
  340. too! This just great! Wow! I am so excited!

  342. And as if that wasn't enough... she added my birhtday present.
  343.  
  344. Then in balloon wrapping paper, was a very special surprise for me. A
  345. Kai Scissors and a stamp positioner. This is the best! If you don't send
  346. me anything else, I would be in heaven. you are beyond nice! Wow! I
  347. can't stop saying it! I have the bestest SS in the whole world! thank
  348. you for your kindness and generosity! Thank you for caring to send so a
  349. lovely package! You are the best!  Thank you Thank you Thank you! adn

  465. Ellie sent a wonderful card...a darling little girl  with a heart on her
  466. dress, holding a watering can and flowers .  she is beautifully colored and
  467. the layered papers, one cut with a victorian (?) edger, match incredibly
  468. well.  Further, the envy is done with black slightly wavy lines in a
  469. diamond pattern and little teeny bows sprinkled around.  GREAT ENVY!!!

  471. And Ellie, at the moment, I'm feeling like a prize jerk because I really
  472. blew something (and some of you know exactly what I'm talking about....),
  473. so your card came at a perfect moment.

  500. I can agree with that ... in fact, you sent in 2 totally different sets for
  501. the "rubber stamp" swap I hosted -- (and they were awesome cards BTW).
  502.  Because you sent in different cards, it made it much easier to swap your
  503. cards.  And you're right, you're not a "newbie" !  :-)

  505. I hate to tell people "no" ... and I never have either.  My request to the
  506. person was pretty simple (I thought).  Because you make different cards, I
  507. can agree that sending in differents sets would be alright.  I have had
  508. several people do that and I wasn't a problem either.

  536.  saying that one was appreciated, but I still get one from most
  537.  participants).  I'm thrilled with this, because then they get back 6
  538.  cards instead of five, and they probably get a better mix.  
  539.     If the swapper sends in different sets, then if the hostess gets in a
  540.  sorting bind, she could give someone two different cards from the single
  541.  swapper.  That is how sending in different sets can help.  I understand
  542.  that very well.
  543.     I am curious to know if there is any animosity toward the swappers
  544.  who send in a lot of cards.  Certain themes really strike a chord in me
  545.  and I love to see as many examples as I can, but I don't want to ruffle
  546.  any feathers.  This is a good theme for discussion - I hope I haven't
  547.  said anything to offend anyone - it is just basically the way that I
  548.  conduct myself - and I guess what I hope for, but not require or expect

  569. Wow.  I have never had that problem.  Just the opposite; my stamps
  570. *really* stick well.  And I don't even cover the entire surface of the
  571. cushion, I just put a dot every 3/4 inch or so.  I do use only Aleene's
  572. Tack it Over and Over.  Maybe you had an off brand or a bad bottle?  I'm
  573. curious, how did  you apply and use it?

  801. This is exactly why these negative posts are so bad.  One person's
  802. experience does not mean that it is the norm.  I feel we all need to
  803. make our own decisions.  I have always known Rubber Baby to be polite,
  804. and send out orders quickly and to be one of the best companies in the
  805. business.  A negative post can really hurt a company because of the
  806. snowball effect, but I would imagine that was the intent.
  807.  
  808. Normally I don't get so riled about things like this, but I do know the
  809. people personally as I said before and I just hate to see bad press when
  810. I know better.

  980. green a "squiggle" pattern.  THEN on vellum ... she stamped in white & EPed
  981. in white a collage of pretty flowers and colored the centers with yellow.

  1048. for a gift tag.  Also the hyperplaid looks nice layered behind
  1049. a carousel stamp.  I do use it mostly for layering.... I use
