anno,
I just retried them and they loaded. Are you using NS or
Internet Explorer?
I sure don't want to have people not be able to see them.
Got your other note and just packaged to mail the FBB242,
and thank you again, for doing the swap. Hope you enjoy
the umed as much as I'm enjoying the card (actually now
it is all the cards).
Thanks

Dawn,
Many years ago, I had a poster on my wall at work with the
"Behold the mighty turtle, for it only makes progress when
it sticks it's neck out!" and they made me take it down,
as they considered it a slam against the company. I love
it and I like your update version of it.

there must be a trick to this. I went to the stamp store while back, asked
for a watercolor inkpad. They sold me a printworks designer one, coal
black, (and a reinker!), said this is what you want. they must sincerely
think so, because that's the only printworks pad they stock. So, I came
home and stamped with the thing, colored it all up with my nice new water
color pencils, added a bit of water for the finishing touch and that ink
bled all over everything. what a waste of time that was! now you say it
works. so.. what's the trick??

Personally, I like to use the Designer Ink pads by Printworks. I like to use
them for stampscapes. They are very juicy and I have all the colors!!!
For pigment inks, I like my TOP BOSS the best. I like all kinds of neat EPs,
mostly opaque ones, and the top boss seems to work best for me. I also have
a few colorbox pads, but I chose to buy one of the PaintBox stips with the
romovable pads... this way, I have a rainbow of colors availabe without
buying ALL the colorbox colors.

I was wondering if there is anyone out there that has ever done any
stamping using friendly plastic? I have never done ANYTHING with friendly
plastic but just 'inherited' 60 sticks of it yesterday. If I can't find a
way to use it with stamping I'll probably 'inherit' it to someone else.

No flames here. I worked in a video store where we
closed at 10:00pm on weeknights and 11:00 Fri and
Sat. Only 1 person closed the store. Seemed like
every night there would be no customers until 2-3 min
before closing! I always told them that the computers
shut down at 10 or 11 and I could not check out tapes
after that! Worked well for me..course stamps and
videos are completely different but the principle remains
the same. Businesses have hours...you don't see banks,
post offices and such stay open past closing!
I do understand that the classes you have might want to
shop, but why can't you have the classes earlier in the evening
or day? Class should be scheduled to be over by one hour
before closing, leaving plenty of time to shop around!
Well guess now I might have need of an FE, darnit and I
don't have one! There is not really a right or wrong opinion
to this, but everyone has a right to an opinion!

For any of you who might be driving and were planning on taking I-40 through
North Carolina, please be aware that there was a major land slide several
weeks ago at the NC/TN border and the highway is CLOSED in that area in both
directions. According to AAA, it will be several more weeks before it is
open. So if you were heading that way, look for alternate routing. And
apparently, it isn't that easy to just get off where they are making you get
off and find your way around and back onto I-40 past the slide. Again, this
is at the border of North Carolina and Tennessee. Call the Highway Patrol if
you need more information. What was going to be a 3 hour drive for us has
turned into somewhere near 5 or 6 hours! Oh, well. We're going ANYWAY! See
youns there!

FRY BREAD! I love this stuff!
I don't mean to step on anybody's toes here but I am full blood Italian
and growing up we had this all the time - made from Pizza dough. My
family still makes it the way you do from scratch but for those of you
who would like an easy alternative this is what I do:
Frozen bread dough in you local supermarket frozen food section.
Usually it comes in packages of three to five loaves. Take one out in
evening to thaw. Coat with Crisco (just rub on the frozen loaf like you
would coat a baked potato before cooking). Place in large covered pan to
thaw and raise. I use a large dutch oven. I also wrap the pan with a
large beach towel (keeps everything warm). Next morning it should have
risen to double. Knead slightly and let set a few minutes. Do not let
it completely raise a second time. Break off as large or little a piece
as you like, shape into round (we put our thumb through the middle and
actually punch out a hole like a doughnut). Fry in deep oil. Turn once.
They should be puffy and soft.
You can sprinkle with sugar or use butter and then sugar or sugar and
cinnamon.
GREAT STUFF!

Subject: RS: FIL update
Just after I posted last night, my sister in law called to say they
were taking him to surgery soon, andI should get to the hospital ASAP.
Got there, and the doc had decided "no surgery", as an xray they took
showed a lot of gallstones. He's not sure what is causing the pain
but doesn't want to do a hernia repair if he problem is other.
FIL says to fix the darn hernia and let him go home to die. They
admitted him to the hospital (I got home about 3:30 AM). Called this
morning and they already had him downstairs for "more tests".
I'll be headed back over to the hospital this afternoon.
All your notes of prayers and support are sooooo appreciated. I love
this man as much as I do my own father. Never once has he shown me
anything other than complete love and acceptance, even while Tom and I
were dating! He always thinks about others and if he see something he
thinks someone would like, he gets it for them. (This is the man who saw
the Kreate-a-lopes on QVC and ordered them for me!)
Thanks again for the support..
Sandy
