Check out what stamp stores are on your route - and guilt him into
stopping to indulge your fancy - after all, "honey, we ARE making this
trip to see YOUR family..." (batting eyelashes coyly, cocking head to
the side, twirling a lock of your hair and you get the picture...).
Also, don't forget PEOPLE magazine for the car!

If Frankenmuth, Michigan is along the way, be sure to stop there and
visit Bronners. If Christmas is anything you like, don't pass it up!
The place is HUGE and wall to wall xmas stuff.

Michele,
My sympathies to you and your family - where can you find strength?
From each other, and from us. But go ahead and feel it - you will
anyway, so don't try to be stronger than you are. It's your loss too,
and while I know you'd like to be strong for the others, you have to
grieve as well. It isn't easy, and time does NOT heal these wounds - it
just makes them easier to bear. Don't keep your feelings in, or you
WILL explode, and then it will be more intense than you may be able to
handle. Lean on each other for support, and know that my thoughts are
with you all.
Hugs,
Lissa

Ok.. I gotta tell y'all this. this week I got the first cards for my slug
swap, from maren in alaska. and without ruinin' the surprise of these
cards, I can I think mention that there is a way cool paper on these cards,
textured, you know? and I asked her about it, cuz was so cool. and she
said that it was plain cardstock but she ran it through the crimper, one
way, then turned it round and ran it through the other way. Now.. is
obvious from the size of the paper that she has one of those newfangled
large crimpers (whereas I have one of those oldfangled small ones, which is
cool, I can make 3" square cool paper like this!), but it was way cool, and
I think anybody could make way cool textured paper out of any kind of paper
they had to have on hand, using this interesting and very nifto technique.

anno (heavy on the ice or not at all!) (colder than cold please.. thank
you!) (this is probably a cultural thing.. I don't do hot tea either..
hehe.. you oughta see me ask for a glass of tea round here, is a hoot.. I
want tea please. cold. with ice. unsweet. with lemon. thank you.
round here, you really don't gotta specify the cold or with ice part, but
they think you're from mars if you want it unsweet.. and that's how you
gotta say it too.. unsweet.. but is even funnier when I go home! I went
home last weekend, and we went out to lunch, and I wanted tea! so, I
ordered: "tea. cold. with ice! unsweet. with lemon. thank you!". and
I got coke! rofl! I sent it back! it was cold, with ice, and almost the
right color.. but it was sweet! and there was no lemon!)

Subject: RS: Re:TAN: Being single-was Re: Jackie's King ... Judy's Nothing
I'm single also...and I can't image it any other way. This has definitely
been a choice for me. I'm sure if I met a gentleman who had the kind of
qualities I admire, I'd consider a close relationship, maybe even marriage,
but there have been darn few men who will allow me to be the person I am.
Most seem to want to fix, take care of, "permit" me to do things. I've
fixed my own kitchen sink, taken out the garbage, traveled to Africa and
other places, eaten when i want, etc. for years and years and I love it....
I am NOT men bashing here; men have been trained (mostly by women) to
behave in "male" ways...I am simply far happier not having to "give up"
parts of me to make "him" happy. If and when I meet a man for whom this
isn't true, I might beat Giggles to the alter.
Hugs,
Jody

I just saved all the files to a floppy. Then I deleted them from my
e-mailbox. There are 472 pages -- yikes! I figure if I go over 10 pages a
day, to omit what I don't need to save, it'll "only" take me 47 days to
complete. Sounds like a fun project -- I love computers! Yet, I realize
it'll be more than 47 days from now that I actually complete it. After all,
I do have other things to do -- like stamping, and watching my grandson
somedays, and stamping, and checking my e-mail, and stamping, and -- oh,
what is it I forgot -- oh, I know! . . . doing laundry and even vacuuming
once in awhile! tee-hee.
Thanx, luv2stamp! ;!}

I don't know what to say about the camera... I'd be concerned about weight
and about theft...
About the small wheeled suitcase. Mine is pretty small and hasn't gotten
in the way. At least so far. In fact, lots of people stop me and tell me
what a good idea this is 'cause their arms are full of stuff and their
elbows stick out and jab people and then they drop stuff.... you know what
I mean....
Have a great time...

I received my directory and it is really wonderful. I immediately
began to look at it - what a fantastic amount of information about all
of us.
Tracy,
I can't imagine the amount of work you put in to make this happen.
Thanks so very much.

What a lovely package I received today. First, I'm so impressed with
the handmade paper - did you make it? If you did, please include the
directions for that piece in the next package - purple is my favorite
color and the shades of purple with the white and gold are great. I've
played with making paper - both sheets and making molded items mostly
for Christmas ornaments and have also made wild fiber paper which is
very interesting. I also appreciate the other pieces of paper and card
stock.
What a thoughtful idea - sending me the labels - such a useful gift.
The bags are so colorful. Of course I like the three flower stamps - I
didn't have any of them.
I like the candle and holder - that's such a lovely soft color.
As for the chocolate; there was a lot of it! I'm going to try to make
it last for a long, long time. I shouldn't eat it at all but I do
cheat, although I'll try to be good.
Your card is very striking; a very simple design but very eyecatching.
Thank you so very much for your thoughtfulness - oh yes, wrapping all
the items was very special, too.
Thanks again
June

Subject: RS: TAN: Traveling the World
Hey Gang,
It's the weekend and I've been thinking about starting a TAN that I'm
interested in.
What one place on the earth would you like to travel to if the funds were
unlimited? Who would you take with you or would you like to go it alone?
Also, is there someplace you've been before that you'd like to visit
again?
I'll start it... I'd love to travel to Austria with a choral tour group.
I've traveled to Russia in 1994 and I'd like to go again to St.
Petersburg and Moscow and Sochi.
