Subject: RS:TAN: Some good stuff for a change
A few days ago I posted a note asking for information on vulcanizers. I
wanted to share the response I got because it blew me away. I received
information, advice, leads, instructions, sources, and encouragement from
LOTS of people on this list and most of them are vendors that make their
own stamps. This is just for fun right now...but who knows? In a few
years I could be in direct competition with Viva Las VegaStamps, but that
didn't stop Stampo from jumping in and helping me out.
I was shocked and overwhelmed that everyone was so helpful and I didn't get
one single negative response. The following people were especially helpful
and if they happen to be vendors, you can bet I will buy from them before
anyone else.
Linda Malcom-Lim from Stamp Out Cute started it all by answering my
bazillion questions at the Grapevine convention.
Maggie at Aglaia gave me very detailed nuts and bolts type information that
I couldn't have done without.
Barb Speck offered her encouragement and some leads for me to follow up on.
Wenonah had more leads to offer.
Evo gave more information and an open invitation to contact her if I need
help.
Glitterbags very patiently gave me step by step instructions on how to get
from raw rubber to a stamp.
Jim Stephans had encouragement and leads that he so graciously shared.
Nan at NanStamps shared information and more valuable leads.
Phil Schloss posted about the shortcuts he designed.
Sheryl Porter was as helpful and informative as usual.
Stampin Nut gave me tons of "how-to" instructions, patiently answered my
silly questions, and gave me a source for accessories.
Chris at THGA told me what to look for in the beginning.
Stampo had information, advice and sources for supplies.
To me...this says a lot about the character of these people and the way
they run their companies. If..no, WHEN...I start manufacturing my own
rubberstamps, I vow to be as helpful, friendly and sharing as these people
have been. Thank you all very much.

I don't have my "When the Rubber Hits the Road" catalog at hand but I
do know you can contact the owner of the company at WTRHTR@aol.com.
They are putting together a new catalog at the moment. Don't know how
long it will be before it's ready. I designs stamps for WTRHTR so I
don't know how objective I am but the stamp quality is excellent and
the catalog carries a good mix of graphic and phrase quote stamps.
There is a selection of "Mother says" quotes that are hilarous. The
owners, Judy and Andy, are wonderful people to deal with.
For what it's worth...

Subject: RS: New Swap Proposal
Last summer I hosted a swap in which we all stamped and traded
cotton dish towels. I love my dish towels - you all can't believe what
neat dish towels were sent in. I would love to do this again. Is there
any interest out there?
I used the plain white cotton dish towels that are like smooth to the
touch
and have no nap. Some people call them t-towels, dish towels, flour
sacks,
etc. I used hot potatoes stamps and the Deka fabric paint. My dish
towels
have been washed in both Tide with Bleach and I've added Clorox bleach
to my water occasionally and they have not faded at all!!!!!!!
Come on y'all - join me for some fun. Would probably be due around May 1
(open to suggestions) and would probably have you send in 4 towels for 4
in return. I wish I could remember how many come in a package it's
either 3 or 4. I would adjust the number so you wouldn't have to buy 2
packages. Believe me - you will love these.
Hugs,
Debbie

I have Trading Cards in stock..20 in a little plastic case. $4.00
less 25% would be $3.00 a package..They are made by East Coast Art
Stamps..They are an oval frame , center is blank for stamping.
Border is a crowd of people and it says Rubber Stamp Trading Card.
They are the same size as a baseball card.
Write if interested.

Martha, you would leave the list because you have to delete or because

there should be a manual feed slot somewhere on the machine (usually
opposite from where the paper exits the machine) I do a lot
of copying at church for our elementary program Wed nights, and do card
stock
all the time there! No problems at all !
