Hi everyone who cares, those who don't, please delete now..........:)
A lot of you asked how my son is doing and so I thought I would write to
the list because I can't write everyone individually right now. I do
appreciate your continued concern and prayers! He is doing fantastic!
He got a new cast last week and can actually move his muscles in his leg
and move his leg some on his own. He will get a new cast in 4 weeks and
be rechecked for the nerve damage that he has causing his big toe to lay
down. He can't lift it up! The doctor is hopeful that he will not have
to have surgery because it looks as if the bones are healing good.
He has appreciated all the get well cards and gifts you have sent!
Soon, we are going to be writing thank you cards! WE'RE going to stamp
them! I found an easy design for him to use! :)
Again, I thank all of you for your prayers for this and many other
times! Things are much better and we're glad for that!
HUGS! HUGS! HUGS!

Those fabric samples in the wallpaper books! Just tug them off the card =
backing they are on and wrap up those little things for your SS!!! They =
work great for individual chalks, stamps, small ep jars. They look so =
cute, too!!! Now, go try it for yourself! Just either tape it (with =
regular scotch tape) or tie it up with pretty ribbon or somethin'!!

From: Katina Choovanski <katchoo@randomc.com>
Subject: Re: RS: Sargies + Latex Linnzie
I am not familiar with Lisa at all as a vendor, and I haven't followed the
whole controversy closely, so my comments are general and are not meant to
be a negative commentary on ANY vendor in particular.
"imupset" seems to be saying that we, as customers, should take as our
model the mail order companies, where 4-6 weeks for delivery is the norm,
and the companies are not seen as easy and convenient to contact and check
on an order. That seems like a reasonalbe suggestion, to a point.
HOWEVER.
It's your fellow vendors on here who become the model for us. Many of the
vendors give amazingly great service. The turnaround on orders from
certain vendors is mind-boggling, and many go "above and beyond" in
keeping us all informed of the status of orders. Without prompting, many
of them do take the time to email their customers that the check arrived,
or the order went out, or whatever. And when contacted about an order,
they reply promptly and in a friendly way. In the cases where there is a
problem, they email the customer or the list and let everyone know what is
up. When things go wrong they make it right.
THOSE vendors are setting the standard for all of you. We are all on a
fairly friendly basis here, and we tend to minimize this, but as business
people you are in competition to an extent. Okay so maybe you can say
that those vendors who go out of their way to give EXCELLENT service spoil
us, and maybe set a standard for you to live up to that seems unreasonably
high. But as long as those vendors do that, we come to expect it,and shop
accordingly.
Perhaps you would rather have customers who shower you with money, require
little coddling or contact, and are happy to receive orders whenever they
show up. Wouldn't we all, in whatever business we might be in! But that
isn't the case here. With your fellow vendors setting a standard to
strive for, you either have to meet the standard or settle for declining
orders as your customers find vendors who are prompter and more
responsive. That's the realities of business as I understand them.
Again, none of this is a commentary on any particular vendor, just on the
general idea that we should treat this like any other mail order
proposition. If I have a choice between a vendor that gives "ordinary"
service the same as any "clip the coupon, send away your money, and wait
wait wait and hope something shows up" mail order company, and one who
keeps me informed, answers email and questions promptly, and gets the
order to me quickly, guess who I am going to choose?

Did you sand the shrink plastic, first? What brand are you
using? I was at a demo on saturday and the woman used Aleens
shrink and sanded it (only in one direction) and then used
the fabrico ink. No smearing! She even watercolored on top of
it. We were talking about just this subject regarding the
clearsnap craft inks that have to be heat set and they were
suggesting the fabrico ink as a great alternative...

Hi. everyone! :)
I'd just like to let you know that we'll be out of the studio for ten days or
so starting July 31. (So if you need to talk to me, email me before tomorrow
night!) We'll be back and working our tails off on August 11th, so keep those
orders coming! I'm looking forward to a nice pile of mail when we get back.
I'll make it up to anyone who's order is delayed by this- I promise. ;)
I'll be travelling to the other coast to do some planning work for our move
later this summer. We have to have a place to live, and for the turtles to
work, after all! Hopefully I'll have access to email, so if you have a Turtle
Press emergency, email will be the best way to get in touch with us. I will
be unsubscribing to the list for the duration, though... I'll need the room
in my mailbox. Phone messages will be answered when we get back. So, be good
while we're gone! (Well, not TOO good. That wouldn't be fun!) And please kind
souls and direct anyone looking for us to this email address:
turtlepres@aol.com.
Thanks,
turtley yours,
Kerrie

I agree with TOD, and want to add a few vendors to that list: Wenonah
Cohen (RubberD), Dawn Francisco (Golden Sunrise Enterprises), Shannon
Green, Ruthann Gigliotti, and Jing Mark (Mark and Associates). All of
these, in addition to the ones on TOD's list, have given excellent
service and have kept me well informed of the status of my orders. I
will continue to do business with the online vendors who provide that
level of service.

Look,
I don't know who YOU are, but as a customer I have a right to expect
courteous and timely service. I don't need someone to hold my hand, but
I think I deserve an explanation when I don't get my order in 8 weeks.
And, wrong, 8 weeks is not normal and I've rarely had to wait that long
without an explanation.
If a vendor can badmount a customer on the list, why shouldn't the list
members be able to play from a knowledgeable position. After all, it IS
our money.
I can tell where you're coming from by your alias tacked on to your
note.
Also, I have spent well over $500 dollars with list vendors, and all
dealings except one has been straightforward.
We still maintain our First Amendment rights...or in your mind is that
for vendors only.
Pissed,

Since my dad retired 8 years ago, he has spent a lot of time tracing our
family roots. He has traced both his side and my mom's to the Pilgrims.
Those ancestors consist of both Friends and Strangers. Most of our ancestors
were English with a bit of Dutch, Scotch-Irish, and Welsh, even those who
immigrated much later such as my mom's father. A definite WASP heritage.
Geneology is really fascinating. My mom is so thankful for how time
consuming it can be, too! :-)
Hugs,
Betsy

Greets,
I have to jump in here and say that I've seen Wendy's catalog and the CW
stamps are outstanding! I have a wish list <G>. They are realistic and
really neat.

So far this month I have received cards from Barbara Simpson and Marianne
Anderson.
Barbara sent a cute post card with a cat frame. It also has birds and a
birdhouse.
Marianne stamped a scene on a photo she took of clouds. I'm going to have to
try this. It turned out great!

HI Linda
So glad to hear from you!! And glad you couldn't resist Flying Petie.
Been thinking about ya. I'm wondering how I'm going to survive the next
few weeks without my computer!!! Imagine it will be packed in a box in
with my house hold goods. I'm taking some stamps in a box but not the
computer. Oh and the cats and my Mom (84 years young-I'm so LUCKY) and
some cloths, you know stuff I'd rather do without but have to have. I'm
hoping I'll be able to drop in from work but I'll have to see. Looking
forward to getting settled - ended up with a house near Northampton, MA
where I'll be working.
Take care

Hi Everyone,
It bothers me too what Latex Linnzie had to say to Lisa. It is all fine and
dandy that she posted to the list about receiving her refund, however that is
were it should have ended. Her other statements should have been emailed
directly to Sargies if she felt the need to express them. Lisa has taken
enough crap from this list and I for one am sick of all the mud slinging.
She is getting the orders out and the orders that she can't get i.e. PSX
she is returning the money - so get off her back. The vendors on this list
should be shone the same courtesy as any other mail order company. They are
no different!! It is sad to think you would treat your friends like garbage
and thieves but you can give complete strangers the courtesy every human
being deserves. What happened to patience and trust?!?!?! I will get off
my soapbox now - just me 2 cents. Please can't we play nice!!!!!

Hi Lisa,
I am concerned here. I am disturbed with the remarks that Latex
Linnzie sent over the list about you. I don't approve. I was wondering if
you have any ideas of how we as vendors can get the customers to realize
that we deserve the same respect from them that any other mail order
company would get.
Remember the ads that read delivery in 4 to 6 weeks. I don't
understand why our customers insist on anything different from us. Not that
I
have had any problems. But, It bothers me when people email me to see if
I got their check. We don't do that to regular mail order companies.
When I order from a company I sit tight and wait with patients. I don't
call the company to see if they recieved my order. I don't expect them
to email me to let me know they recieved my order. Now if 2 months go
by. Then maybe I get nervous.

what color is it? **I feel so special!**
I received the Flower for the same /not same swap; it'll hit the
mail out to Amanda Bristol tomorrow.
I also received my 2 last TTPO's! Yea!!! I was getting worried
that they got gobbled up by the PO, like Angelhrt's did (my Post Office
does not like me!), but Sammilynn's sombrero de bruja went perfectly with
Chris's Wile E. contribution! Thank you, bless you {{{{HUGS}}}} (the

Hello all!
I found the Beedz at a store here in CA...a stamp store. I haven't seen them
anywhere else. I will be making a trip up to that store next Tuesday, and I
would be more than happy to pick some up for whomever wants them. I don't
have the list of colors, but I will call the store and ask them to tell me
the available colors. I believe I paid 3.50 per package for them. I am sure
they wouldn't cost much to send in the mail, as they are not very heavy!!

Jody Morrison
Me!!
If you have sent me a letter of interest and I didn't respond, please e-mail
me privately. The round robins will be done in groups of 4, so right now we

have changed your mind, please let me know!

I didn't realize that companies were so nasty about reproducing images when a
person isn't trying to make money off of them. I guess I don't want my page
sent in the. Not that I had a lot of stamps anyway. But just one could lead
to trouble it sounds like. But then my was stamped on every page and not
reproduced so I migh be ok. I'd rather not find out the hard way though. I
know several people used Pooh stamps and that is Disney. I guess Disney
doesn't think they have enough money. HA!

<< I personally would not want to have someone like DJInker know that
you mech. repro. any of their stuff. And there are other companies
just as nasty. If there is any Disney images watch out. The small

have to peruse the legal issues, otherwise next time the opposing
lawyer will use this as an example of it is okay.
I would not advertise this project to widely.
