WoW!!! Try Nasco catalog, page 182,
item no 97 01183 1/8 inch punch for $3.25
or 97 01184 #/16 punch for $3.25.
They can have these to you in a week!
The number, if you don't have the catalog is 1-800-558-9595

Feathers...
I can't figure out what your problem could be. I've never had this happen,
and even just now embossed one of my large cat-filled hearts. I can't
even scrape it off and can even twist the paper and nothing even
cracks in the embossing.
The only possible thing I can think of, is if your embossing powder is not
absorbing all of your ink and is leaving a slippery area of non-embossed
fluid. I've had this happen on hard surfaces such as glass, sculpey clay
and marble but never on paper.
I used just now... Imprintz black pigment ink and gold metallic embossing
powder. Let me know what you're using, and maybe we can figure out
what is going on with your poor valentines. :{<

Does your metal edged ruler have a cork bottom? You might want to think
about pulling that cork off so that your ruler lies flat on the paper.
This will prevent your knife blade from sometimes sliding under the
ruler's edge. I learned this eons ago while working in a book repair
lab, and it's really helpful for me.

Subject: Vellum Paper info
For those having trouble with their vellum buckling during embossing,
I've found a great vellum paper that doesn't buckle and the embossed
image won't flake off.
The paper is from a company called Canson and comes in a pad of 50 sheets
that are 9 by 12. This paper is 55 pound paper (for the person I told it
was 90 pound, I was wrong, looking in the wrong place for the number!
sorry!).
I've had alot of success with this paper and I'm very happy with it!
I suggest calling all the art supply (not craft ) stores in you area and
ask if they have it or can order it for you.
Hope this helps you all,

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that
pet goes to rainbow bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our
special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food
and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the
animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those
who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we
remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they miss
someone very special to them; who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops
and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent; the eager body
quivers. Suddenly he begins to break away from the group, flying over the
green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. YOU have been
spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling
together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain
upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once
more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but
never absent from your heart.
THEN YOU CROSS RAINBOW BRIDGE TOGETHER. . . . .

I also hate cutting paper. I bought a mini paper cutter from Baggie and I
just LOVE it. I swear, it has changed my life:). It sits right there on
the table next to me, hardly taking up any room at all. It cuts straight
(unlike my big fiskars rotary paper cutter) and works like a dream come
true.

Subject: RS: Where can I get stamps made?
Hi all,
I've been putting together some artwork that I'd like to have
rubberized and would like to find a place where it can be done at a
reasonable cost. I've learned over time that the expensive part of this
is getting the matrix done and if I understood the process correctly,
this is what's used to make the plate (maybe this is the matrix). I may
not have the terminology correct so I sure hope I am being understood.
I insist on doing this with a company where I will receive the matrix
/ plate and some quantity of rubber images ready to cut and mount.
Can anyone out there direct me to a company which will do this and an
idea of the costs involved? Maybe some of the vendors (H.A.L.O.S., VLVS,
Toad Hall, someone else) offers this service - Please Help if you can!
TIA, Sheryl Whitebirch

have you seen that were actual useful/inspiring/creative and which were duds?
I've seen two, a Stampendous video and a Stampin' Up video. The SU video was
pretty informative with Dee Gruenig talking as she stamped and the Stampendous
video helped me learn more about color. Any other suggestions?

I am always bemoaning the fact that none of my old friends is interested in
RSing. Something that makes me treasure my stamp club , the Study Hall and
my friendship with all of you even more, but today I got a wonderful surprise
in the mail.
My oldest and best friend's 10 year old daughter sent me a hand made
valentine. It's lovely, decorated with a velveteen heart, paper lace, silver
ribbon, more hearts, etc. And inside she wrote "I wish you a happy
Valentine's day. You got me into making handmade cards. Love, Rachel.
Well you know this girl is getting a call from me and a card back. But I
also thought, that along with bragging about her to you, I might also ask
that if anyone would like to help stoke the creative fires of a fledgeling RS
and crafter, you or your kids might like to send her something handmade.
I'm just so thrilled to have inspired her I'd like to really get her
enthusiasm up while she's young, so that she can grow up knowing the joys of
crafting. Her Mom, though a very dear to me person, is not the crafting
type, to my dismay. And I have tried! <g> And her Dad is a wonderful writer
and an astronomer, but not a crafter.
So, if anyone is interested in sending a card or postcard to Rachel, e-mail
me and I'll give you the pertinent info.
Thanks!
