Boy, leave it to Linda to take the words right out of my mouth. The
list is fine the way it is...It is hard enuff to keep up without a
schedule. I do think that if a person has an opinion they could chew
their words a bit more and not be so mean when they are expressing their
view. Feelings do get hurt..and that's not what we are all about here.
If you don't agree with something, just say it in a nicer way...There
is a saying...you can catch more flies with honey than with
vinegar..Don't back a person in a corner, because they they will attack
back and it only makes things worse...

I think someone already answered your question, but I'll throw in a little
info I found out recently. The vellum that everyone is using for stained
glass window cards is also known as Frosted Drafting Mylar and can be found
at drafting supply stores. It comes in different weights and you'll want
it pretty heavy to withstand the heat of your heatgun without buckling.
When you ask for vellum at the copy shop, they usually hand you a cardstock
type stuff that's not transluscent enough for the stained glass effect.
The list vendors know what kind of vellum we need so you can always get it
from them.
Good Luck!

I've been having trouble lately with not getting my mail from the list.
messages addressed to me personally are coming thru, but not list mail.
Yesterday, I had 1071 messages after two days of no mail. Then when I
signed on today, I have "no mail" again...what's up????
Scarey when 1071 messages feels "normal" and 0 messages feels very
uncomfortable. thanks for your help...donnylyn...

Hello All:
I can't agree with organizing this list to death and have no intention of
trying to remember someone else's schedule for posting...many times our
posts have a number of different topics within that make it difficult to
pigeon-hole them.
While I can understand some people wishing there were fewer postings (and
sometimes that includes me), I knew that this list was high volume when I
signed on. While I would prefer sometimes a little less flaming on the list
I just use my delete button and go on to the next post that I find interesting.
My only suggestion would be for list members to keep the obviously personal
e-mail off the list...why cc the list when you can reply directly to the
vendor/swap organizer involved?
Well, enough pontificating...I'm just not a big fan of censorship I guess.
Happy Day To All...

Are there any vendors on this list who sell such a thing as a 1/8" hole
punch. They are over $8 at my local stamp store. That seems awfully
expensive for hole punch. Please contact me if you can do better.

A mixed bag of blessings if you ask me; "non-bitching" - ? Sounds like
you're bitching about the bitching.
Why don't you post something R/S related if you have a problem with the

For all of you that responded, especially those that are slamming me for
doing what I did, I checked on what happened. The officer called the
mother and she said she watched the car while in the postoffice.. He
gave her a stern warning. I'm not sure how she goes up to the counter
and watches the car, because she would be facing the wrong way. Even if
she was watching them she could still have the children taken. People
that do these things can do it quick. The PO was busy at the time, so
she did not run in and out. Also, it's in a higher crime area, then the
average. Not dangerous, but not safe either. Sorry, but my kids are
precious to me, and I don't them stolen, or injured when they are not
being supervised. Hopefully some of you will think twice before you put
your children in this situation. Enough said!

Come on y'all... Robin was making a suggestion. Just a suggestion. Just as
we all make suggestions to make things better and easier for all of us. So
stop picking on the newbie with the big heart, the creative ideas and the
willingness to take a risk and make a suggestion. All those qualities are
great ones and of great value to this list, whether you agree with the
suggestion or not.
So flip back down out of panic mode. All these posts about list management
are creating more of the problem you are trying to address.
Besides, remember who holds the keys. Only schedule M.O.M. can remember
well enough to keep is my new rule... All list administration discussion
and complaints about list volume and posts telling other people what they
can and can't post... those MUST be made and only be made on the second
Tuesday of every week. Hold onto them or send them by private e-mail
between times.
(Yes, I did wake up in A Mood today. How could you tell?)
(And yes, this is pretty tongue in cheek. Except for the praise and
admiration for Robin, who proposed new constructive ideas rather than moan
about a problem and shoot down whatever anyone else says. THAT is as
sincere as I get.)

Please don't structure my life for me! I'm here to read, post and discuss
if the mood strikes me. I don't have a problem with the delete button and
if I don't read all my mail that I download on one day, I'll do it
another - whenever I find time.
I love the TOTW and now will be anxious to see (and maybe participate in)
the "how-to"s that will be coming. I often lose the swap information and
need it again, but I don't want to wait for a certain day to get it.
To stop all the chatter here it will be necessary to close the list. I
don't want that and I'm sure most of you don't. Someone already suggested
that this is like a family that can talk about problems, often current
events, beliefs, etc., but we often forget that everyone is not in our
family yet and doesn't want to "listen" to what we have to say. So delete
their comments - you'll be better for it and feel better too.
Life is too short to argue, bicker and complain all the time. Enjoy life,
do the things you're here to do - Stamping!
Please, no flames - I won't read them.
