Hi, SereneGirl,
Thank you for taking the time to respond to my post. I really, really
appreciate it.
Well, it sounds like you must have known my father. <lol> (I won't
repeat myself here. Just look at the post I wrote to Janet about my dad.)
This is the first time I've chatted with you. From one lawyer to
another, glad to meet you. I think we have a few things in common. I'm
Asian, too. And we share a few other traits that took us to law school.
(Did you enjoy the Socratic method?)
I don't always agree with you -- didn't they always tell us in law school
that reasonable people disagree -- BUT I *love* your humility,
"SerenetheoftStupid." My parents will tell you that I'm
"oft-stupid-too"!!!

I realize this is a hard situation...but you have already said the key word

Just a dog........dogs have great feelings, just as we do.You rescued her from
death, and took on the responsibility of taking care of her for her life. You
are lucky you do not have to face what I , and 10's of 1000's of people had to
face as late as the 1983's, which was, "YOU HAVE KIDS, NO I WILL NOT RENT TO
YOU", and in those times I was a single mom, so my choices were even fewer
than a 2 income family, but I found a way......Don't make a decision out of
convenience, make it out of a sense of responsibility....don't subject your

From: stampatti@juno.com (Patti Welsh)
Subject: RS: Art Impressions Swap received
Shawn Buckmaster (Rubrwoman) did descriptions yesterday. I have a couple
of the same ones, but my descriptions will probably be different from
hers.
I've been looking and looking at these and have been very Art Impressed
by all of them. This is the order they are in now.
Rubrwoman has three elederly women starting rumors over tea. I love how
smooth her markers went on. Not one overlap mark at all. These gals
look so real, black embossed, stamped on white and are mounted on red
with black photo corners and then mounted on tan. Inside is stamped,
"This is how rumors get started."
Jane Dutton has the little boy with his puppy tugging on his shirttale
peeking into the window of the pet store wooden stand. A Cat sits in the
window. Open the card and see the back of the stand wih the cat's back
and the boy's face. A neat use of front and back stamps.
Kim (our hostess) did a delightful popup card with a matching envelope.
The front is full of colored fireworks - very subtle. But inside! Wow.
A farm scene withgreat trees and in front of the barn out pops a bunny
and bear riding a horse and carrying balloons with real string.
Following close on their heels in a dog (also popped out) carrying a gift
package. At the front it says "Happy Birthday."
Kathy Walunas seranades us with "Live for those moments of wild abandon"
as the piano teacher is singing and playing to her pets. All mounated on
confetti paper and then onto the pink cardstock with musical scores
stamped all over for background.
Sandra Hampton did a perfect portrait of me. A woman laying back ona
kitchen chair, arm across her forehead. Hot sun beaming down, lots of
clouds in her sky, and many many dandelions on the grass. It's entitled
"Dandelion Whines." this is layered onto aqua and then red.
Thanks to all who played and especially to Kim for doing a great job.

Subject: RS: COMM: Suzy Zoo for '99
Some people have requested a Suzy Zoo calendar for 1998. Unfortunately,
these are no longer available to me. I can get the 1999 ones though but
need a minimum order.
So, I'm asking for a show of hands here so to speak. How many of you
would want a Suzy's Zoo 1999 full sized wall calendar? These retail for
$9.95 but would be available to you for $8.95 and that, like all other
Suzy's Zoo paper products, includes the shipping.
The matching pocket calendar for 1999, retails for $2.95 and would be
$2.50 through the list.
I am not asking for orders at this point. I am asking for anyone who
would be interested in purchasing one or more of these calendars to
e-mail me directly and let me know. IF there is sufficient interest, I
will order my minium(s) and then let you all, know that they are then
available.

Subject: RS:RE:Art Impressions Swap Received!
This was one of the best swaps I've been in! Thanks Kim!! You are an excellent
hostess!!!
From Ruth (tvlady), the older woman with the wild hair and sunglasses was
GREAT!
Ruth glittered the hair in two-tone, purple and pink, and the quote"It took me
50 years
to look this good" was fabulous! I love this card, Ruth!
Norma Thoshinsky did a wonderful birthday card with the entire "elderly" crew
and birthday cake with "too" many candles. She embossed the crew in gold,
colored them in very nicely, on white cardstock. Layered this on pink
cardstock and layered again on white cardstock with markered confetti. I like
this idea! Inside the card says"on your Birthday, you can still light up a
room!..as well as four city blocks!"
Queen Ann sent in a really special card using the Art Impressions cliff and
stones. She also used stamp camps "brownies" lying on the grass. I had never
seen the brownies before and they are very cool! All colored in with pencil...
A great card! I also LOVE your signature "madly stamped for you" logo. Where
did you get that?
"stampracer" did a terrific card of the lady in the bathrobe, with curlers in
her hair and holding a cup of coffee, with the other hand on hip. She's
looking through a window with a wonderful flower box on a brick wall. The
coloring is great with a total 3-D effect. Inside says "I'll rise but I refuse
to shine." One of my favorites for sure!!!!
And last, Kim Michels card is absolutely stupendous! A pop-up card! I never
received one or made one and was totally impressed! The front of the card is
stamped stars in a rainbow blue. You open the card and out pops a bear and
bunny on horseback, holding ballons with a pop-out dog following behind,
holding a wrapped gift. All of this is wonderfully colored in front of the Art
Impressions barn and trees. The card says Happy Birthday. The envelope was
colored in too! Kim, this card is awesome!
Thanks to all who played. These cards will be on my wall of fame and thanks
again to you Kim for being such a good hostess.

Thank you for your honest response to all of our questions. I hope things get
easier for you with time. The depression thing is really a bummer, and the

I only wish that were true. I do a lot of traveling and have asked this
several times, only to be told no. Also, if the flyers are in the store,
they
are the ones without the coupons (which I find odd). A manager once told=

they can not give the discount on request, as for each discount given, th=

Does anyone have any ideas on what to do withe the scraps of rubber
that are left when your done cutting out your UM's? Just wondering. I
was cutting them out the other day and saved the scraps, thought it is
a shame they cant be recycled in some way. Freaked me out...never in
my life before rubber stamping have I thought about recycling:) I've
become the kind who saves everything! I even punched out some great
confetti from shrink plastic left overs that would be great in shaker
cards-the tiny shapes are adorable and I even cut out around the
shapes and baked those too. Now I have all kinds of cute stuff for
embellishing and filling shaker cards!

Where do you live?
Put posters with her picture on local bulletin boards (super market,
convenience story, library) with your phone number only. Some folks have
their phone numbers written sideways on the botton..then cut up to make a
tear of little piece for interested folks with no pencil.
Put an ad in the paper...the pennysaver..anywhere. Tell the people all
about her..had her shots, housebroken, loves the kids, etc.
Just be sure to interview the people, first on the phone, then in person.
If possible, let Daisy meet them and their kids...you'll know right quick if
they are the right people.
Good luck..
