You can be Apprentice Glitter Princess.....How's that?
But, you must work VERY hard at keeping yourself from sending ANY Glitter
Projects to the Giggling One. She treats me badly, and doe NOT deserve one at
this time. She makes fun of my whining, yet she's the one who taught me how to
do it SO well. We will NOT be sending Glitter Goods to the Giggling One,
remember that!!

Subject: RS: Stamp credits.
I'm thinking about the stamp credits on the back of our cards. I'm not
real "fixed" in my mind about doing this for a few reasons:
1) PSX, Magenta, Art Impressions ... et al ... don't pay me to advertise
their stamps;
2) I don't keep records of where my um's come from;
3) I am real careful about acknowledging on the r/s list ... those
*vendors* who give great service.
4) When I sign up for a swap ... I agree to swap cards, etc. .. .not to
being a part of a
marketing/advertising campaign for any r/s company.
5) It seems, from the cards I receive, that a good number of other stampers
don't use
stamp credits, either.
6) Sometimes, I send along a note saying how a card was done, or where I
got the stamps,
but I don't want to be "legislated" to do this.
7)` Anyone wants to know where I got a certain stamp/um ... they can ask me
by e-mail.
8) It's rubber stamping. It's art. It's not brain surgery.
9) Sometimes a few "procedural irregularities" make life a little more ..
colourful! (that's
"colorful" for our American neighbours ... ah ... "neighbors" ... :)

happened. Maybe it's time to find a new host server!

Subject: RS: stampznstuff@juno.com: RubberTown: Nobel prize swap
A few years ago I was privileged to know a Nobel Prize winner in the
medical area. His children and I went to school together and he and I
sang in our church choir for several years. I wanted to get an
appropriate card for him. NOW, what kind of card to get for a Nobel
Prize winner. I hunted for days and even Hall Mark couldn't come up with
anything appropriate. This was before stamping was in my life, of
course. I finally found a card that had a large, silver buffalo head
nickel on each side (back and front of nickel on back & front of card.)
So, what about doing something really inventive and design cards for the
various sections of the Nobel Prize area. Medicine, literature, etc.
Does that sound like something even the newbies would like to do?
Theme & Design: Something appropriate for a Nobel prize winner.
Due date: May 20, 1998
How many: five for five - ten for 10 - whatever - I would love one for
my shop too - for my art gallery.
I think this would be so great. Hope to hear from a lot of stampers.

Subject: RS:COMM: Burgundy Paper Grabbag
Fellow Stampers:
Creative Images has a brand new paper grabbag. Our Burgundy Paper
Grabbag consists of 75 sheets of 8 1/2" x 11" (21,5 x 28 cm) cardstock for
$10.00 plus $3.00 shipping. Included in this grabbag are: 25 sheets of
Textured Adobe (which is a light brown with just a hint of burgundy), Dusty
Burgundy (which is a pale dusty burgundy with speckles of darker burgundy)
and a very Dark Burgundy Linen.
The Textured Adobe is a new cardstock for us and one that I am
especially pleased with. It would be perfect to use for a card with stamped
clay pots or anything that you need a highly textured cs for.
Creative Images has several paper grabbags to choose from
(descriptions listed below) and for those of you who love to save
on shipping charges I have a deal for you. Purchase more than one paper
grabbag and your total shipping charge will just be $3.00. For shipping to
Canada, Great Britain, Germany and Belgium add $6.95 for 1st grabbag and
$3.95 for each additional grabbag. For delivery to Australia and New
Zealand add $8.95 shipping and $5.95 for each additional grabbag. If you
have questions about delivery to any other country I would be happy to let
you know what the cost would be.
Wonderfully White cardstock grabbag includes: White Embossed Leather,
White
Linen, White Corded, White Semi-Gloss (semi-gloss on one side and matte on
the other - has just enough tooth for watercolor pencils), and White Double
Sided Glossy. These are all 80 lb cardstock.
Dusty & Delightful cardstock grabbag contains: A Dark Burgundy Linen, a
Light
Dusty Burgundy (which is a pale dusty burgendy with speckles of darker
burgundy), a Dusty Sage Green Linen that has speckles of dark green, Ash
(which is a tan with black flecks throughout) and a Pale Corded Grey
Cardstock. These are all 80 lb cardstock.
Neutral Colors cardstock grabbag contains White Embossed Leather,
Pebblestone, Oyster Flecks, and Cottonwood. All of these are textured or
have flecks or specks of a variety of neutral colors throughout the
cardstock. These are not plain ho-hum papers - they are all quite
beautiful. All are 80 lb. cardstock except the pebblestone which is 65 lb.
Victorian Colors cardstock grabbag includes: Dark Victorian Blue, Deep
Burgundy
Linen, Ash (which is a tan with black flecks throughout) and White Linen.
These are all 80 lb cardstock.
Miscellaneous grabbag contains a total of 19 different cardstocks including
all that is listed in the above four grabbags plus Black, White with Green
Specks, Green Corded, Green Index and Purple Passion.
I accept checks, money orders, Visa, MasterCard and Discover Card. If
you have any questions you can e-mail me or feel free to
give me a call at 316-364-8744. Be sure to visit our web site at

I'm not Jody.......but here is the review I posted to the list in February!
Hi ALL!!
I may still be waiting for my cookbook....but I have already HAD Giggles
FAMOUS Peanut Butter Fudge!! Neener, Neener to those of you who don't live
just a half an hour away from her!! She made some special JUST for me!!
Well....OK....actually she wanted to prove to Inkyangel that her fudge DOES
come out....and she wanted to use me to corroborate her story!! I was HAPPY
to comply!!!
Now I want you all to know that I take my job as Official fudge reviewer VERY
seriously!! My family tried very hard to skew the test results by eating some
of the fudge....but in order to report on the consistency of the fudge I
needed to be sure each piece was as good as the last!!! I can't believe how
little regard they had for my work!!! But......I can hardly blame them!!!
THIS IS THE BEST PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE I HAVE EVER TASTED!!! You should also
know, lest you think that my experience is limited, that Peanut Butter fudge
is my all time favorite and I NEVER miss an opportunity to try some!!!
If this was the ONLY recipe in "Rubber Delights" it would be worth the cost of
the cookbook!! The fudge IS that good!! But, for those of you who don't
already have a cookbook...you should know there are 50 more recipes that SOUND
just as delicious!! Even though I do not have my BOOK yet, because of my
commitment to my job as OFFICIAL Peanut Butter Fudge reviewer I was able to
get a listing of submitted recipes! What can I say....just another job
related "perk!" For those of you who don't like peanut butter.........there
are at least 20 recipes that involve some sort of CHOCOLATE!!! Just looking
through the table of contents will make you drool!!
Hmmmm.........let me PROVE it to you!!! Lets see.....Phil sent a recipe for
cheesecake. Mmmm....I love cheesecake! There is also a recipe for "Cream
Cheese Pound Cake" (I don't know who submitted this...but it sounds sinful!)
and "Marble Cheesecake" from Terri Bradbury. Kim the Happy stamper sent
"Banana Ambrosia with FUDGE sauce." Yep!! I bet eating this COULD make one
happy!! Then there is Banana Split cake from Kaye Mills and Bavarian Mints
from Jody Morrison.
You coffee lovers might be tempted by Paula Sigman Lowrey's
"Biscotti"....especially you "dippers!" Equally dippable (is that a
word?).......how about Maureen Butcher's "Cookie Stamp Shortbread" or Carol
Roop's "Graham Cracker Cookies?" Carol also sent a recipe for "Earthquake
Cake!" I don't know what this is....but Giggles thought it might be so rich
that if you drop it when you are taking it out of the oven it causes the earth
to tremble.
Do you like Brownies? "Rubber Delight's" has them!! Four Delicious
varieties!! First there is Patricia's Koss' "Brownie Cheesecake
Torte".......what a combination...YUM!!
Then there is Kim Jones' "Easy Brownies", Andrea Lum's "Mom's Brownies" and
Cheryl Dobkin's "White Brownies!"
Ready all you CHOCOLATE lovers? For what you say? How about these!!!!
"CHOCOLATE Coconut Dessert" from Lynette Walter's (It must be good...she had
plenty of time to perfect it during the LONG Alaska winter!), "CHOCOLATE
Covered Cherries Fudge" from Maggie Sharp (now we know why she is up so
late....so she can keep this all to herself!), "CHOCOLATE Dream Dessert" from
Christine Morrison, "CHOCOLATE Graham Cracker Dessert" (don't know who this is
from...but it sounds yummy!), "CHOCOLATE Peanut Butter Bites" from Lissa
Albert-Tenser (heard these taste just like Reese Peanut Butter Cups!!),
"CHOCOLATE Peanut Butter Bundt Cake" from Ann-onymous, "CHOCOLATE Pecan Pie"
from Sassarixa, "Mousse au CHOCOLATE" from Karen Wasserman, "Laura's World
Famous Hand Dipped CHOCOLATES" ( the chocolates may be famous....but which
Laura? We have so many wonderful Laura's on the list!), "Lorri's Easy
CHOCOLATE Fondue" from Lorri Shapiro (The Chocolate lady herself!), "Death BY
CHOCOLATE" from Marcia (Violetnut) Balonis (what a way to go!)....and who
could resist "Cousin Bonni's Better Than Sex CHOCOLATE Cake?" Ann-onymous
sent this one too! Ann....thanks for this recipe.....I sure hope your
cousin's life improves!!! What do you think everyone...RAK's for Cousin
Bonni? Oh yeah! Ann.....Giggle's wants to know ......would that be before or
after Mel Gibson in the "Naughty Room?" I'm sure everyone could find a use
for Jody Morrison's "Unbelievable Chocolate Whipped Cream Icing."
Personally....I DO NOT want to know what Ann would do with it!!!
Are you salivating yet? Don't even think about wiping up now cause ...THERE'S
MORE!! How about these tasty sounding temptations?
"Blueberry or Cherry Cream Pie" from Sassarixa, "Charlene's Famous Peanut
Butter Cookies" from Charlene Coennen (I wonder if these are as good as
St.Flossies?),
"Crisp Toffee Bars" from Sharon Mazuk, "Fabulous Fudge" from Bonnie Gard, "Mom
Graham's Fudge" from Ann Graham, "French Silk Pie" from Mary Krause,
Impossible Pie" from Sandra Luck, "Rice Pudding" from Charlene Coennen,
"Toffee" from Libby Krueger, "Pineapple Delight" from Aunt Bonnie, "Lemon
Glazed Gingerbread" from Michele McNamara, and "Pumpkin Bread" from Debbie
Davenport.
In the category of "I have no idea what it is, but sounds good anyway" are
"Nanaimo Bars" from Darlene Sather, "Louisiana Yummy" from Chris Hulseberg,
something called "Kucken" (is this some sort of regional recipe?) from Phil
and "Noodle Ting A Lings" from Maggie Sharp (do we need to eat one of these a
day Maggie?)
How about these for some interesting cakes!! "Eclair Cake" from June Koziar,
"Fuzzy Navel Cake" from Patty Richie, "Peppermint Patty Cake" from Linda
Neumann, "Pizza Cake" from Ann Graham, "Punch Bowl Cake" from Kaye Lynn
Ingold, "Snow Cake" from Connie Maginnis and last but not least, and also from
Connie, "Wowie Cake!"
WOWIE INDEED!!!!!! What a cookbook!! But thats not all!! Phil Schloss has
included some cool templates as a bonus...as if we needed it after all these
recipes!!!
There are still a limited number of cookbooks left...so there is still a
chance you can get one of your very own!! Jody is in charge of cookbook
sales and can be reached at: jmorrison@nm-us.campus.mci.net
All these cool recipes AND we get to help Giggles too!! What are you waiting
for!?
Oh! One more thing!! If any of you who submitted recipes would like me to
give an "OFFICIAL" review of your submission....just so everyone will know how
truly delicious it is.....feel free to send it right along!! Just do me a
favor and send it wrapped in plain brown paper with no identifying marks.
That way I will know not to open it until AFTER everyone else goes to bed!!
Jamie :-)

Lorrie,
What a surprise when I went to my mailbox and found a card from you and a
wonderful tin of your yummy chocolate chip cookies. They are so good. I
know I didn't do anything nice enough to deserve a treat like this, but I'm
not giving them back. Thank you so much for thinking of me. They also
arrived on Secretaries Day and certainly brightened my day. I love the tin
too and will be putting it to use for the storage of some of my stamping
supplies. Thanks again for the goodies. Now I know why everyone raves
about the cookies you make!

Subject: RS: COMM:Beeswax anyone??
Hello all
I am considering ordering from Beeswax...and I would like to know if anyone is
interested in their stamps.
For those that are unfamiliar with the company, Beeswax does lots of great
scenery stamps...lots of seperate images that you put together to make a
scene. They also have some awesome people stamps...some medieval, Victorian,
nudes, children...nothing "cute".
The newest catty contains 160 new images, plus the previous images.
New in this catty are "scene frames"...these are scene stamps that are
basically complete...you just add your central figure (animal, person,
whatever). There are 9 to choose from...Snow scene, apple tree, old barn with
a sunrise/sunset, forest, and desert are a few.
Please let me know if you are interested in any of the Beeswax stuff!
Jaimee :)

Subject: RS: AD: skeleton leaves
I can now get skeleton leaves from my supplier. They are great to add as
inclusions in your handmade paper or to use on your cards. They are
wonderful for collage as well. They are natural color and come in
small(12 pk.), medium (10) or large (8). These come from the same
supplier as the papermaking kits and supplies so I will be ordering
tomorrow if anyone wants any. My discounted price is $4 plus postage.
Email me today to get in on this order. Thanks

Yes, the RAK List is different, but Susan made up an UNofficial Snail Mail List and
sent it out only to those people who requested to be put on the list this past
week. I believe she is interested in doing an update to the list next month for
those people who missed out this time. I believe that Susan said in her post about
make this UNofficial list that she had been thinking about it because she had been
getting so many addresses thanks to being the keeper of the RAK list.

Just had to comment here on Patti's calendars. They are wonderful. Can't =
remember for certain, but think I ordered 10 of these calendars last fall =
to give as Christmas gifts. I hand-stamped each page of each of these =
calendars with House Mouse images and I was so tickled with the results. =
It was a lot of work, but also a great deal of fun. Got lots of good =
reviews from all the recipients.
Patti did an awesome job on these!

I make and sell calendars with the top half blank for stamping, photos,
scrapbooking etc. The bottom part which contains the calendar grid has
space for writing in stuff. Last year (1998 calendars) I only had 1/2
page size. For 1999 I plan to have full 8.5 x 11 as well as 5.5 x 8.5. =
