eyeing the boxes hungrily, asking "what's in those, candy, cookies?" I just
wanted to make sure the labels or tops didn't *mysteriously* disappear. :D
BTW I'm making another batch soon. Next 5 people ordering the cookbook:

Subject: RS: Giggles get-together
Just had to tell you all how much I've enjoyed getting together with Giggles
and all her friends from the list (this week Jamie D., Linda F, Lynda B and of
course, Peter Pan). It's great to finally have some faces to place with the
names that I read so often on the list!
Tuesday, Peter Pan shared some of his treasures with me and I just had to say
THANKS to him. Thanks, Peter Pan, for the great bumper sticker and magnet!
You'll all love them - they say "IMA(image of stamp)'r RU?" They also
have the Stamper A Day design on them. Be sure to ask him about them!!!!
And I'm extremely jealous that they are all going on this fabulous trip on
Sunday and have even arranged to go see all the newest in House Mouse designs!
Sorry, guys, I can't join you - I got reminded today that I have to make a
trip to Logan with my father (another reason for me to be jealous - he's going
to Florida!). Hey, I'm happy just because it's April vacation and I get to
stay home!!!! Hopefully, I'll find some time to stamp!
Have a great night!

If you have a rubber sheets (plural!) to give a better grip, use them.
Wrap one sheet about the jar and hold the jar between knees, thighs or
feet. Wrap other sheet about the jar lid and attempt to turn with the
"good" hand.
Good luck.

Hi Michelle ... this is the first card I've ever received with the "dial"
stamps .... it's quite a novelty!!
For those who don't know what I'm talking about ... Michelle's card
features an Easter egg, with the centre cut out. There's another stamped
image in behind, and when you turn the "in behind" image, the little scene
in the centre of the egg changes (as it rotates).
Who make these stamps, Michelle?
It's a great card .... thanks for swapping with me!

A senior citizen decided to visit the social security office to sign
up for his benefits. Upon his arrival, the clerk asked for proof of
his age. When he reached for his wallet, the embarrassed man realized
he had left it at home. After explaining his problem to the clerk,
she replied, "Don't worry, just open your shirt, and if your chest
hair is gray you will qualify." The senior citizen opened his shirt,
and was soon awarded his benefits. Upon arriving home, he related his
story to his wife. She looked at him and said, "Too bad you didn't
drop your pants. You would have qualified for disability, too!"

me back a sample tomorrow." The next day, the 75-year old man
reappears at the doctor's office and gives him the jar, which is as
clean and empty as on the previous day.
The doctor asks what happened, and the man explains, "Well, doc, it's
like this. First I tried with my right hand, but nothing. Then I
tried with my left hand, but nothing. Then I asked my wife for help.
She tried with her right hand, but nothing. Then her left, but
nothing. She even tried with her mouth, first with the teeth in, then
with the teeth out, and still nothing. Hell, we even called up the
lady next door, and she tried with both hands and her mouth too, but
nothing." The doctor was shocked.
"You asked your NEIGHBOR?" The old man replied, "Yep, but no matter
what we tried, we couldn't get the damn jar open!"

Don't judge him too harshly, Bev .... people can grow spiritually and
emotionally and change quite a bit in 9 years. I'm sorry you had that
experience with a "man of the cloth" ... and it must have made quite an
impact, given your position of vulnerablity and his of supposed spiritual
leadership.
You should send him a get-well card, and while you're at it ... tell him
you know just how he feels.

>>It has been proven... a short story.
About 9 years ago, after my third heart attack, my (then) minister came to
the hospital to see me. He began belittling me, telling me I was looking
for attention (can you do that?), and to get over it. Needless to say, I
didn't go back to that church.
I was reading another church's bulletin today. This man has made it to
District Superintendent, which really surprises me. But, and I'm not
gloating here (I don't wish anyone ill), HE'S IN THE HOSPITAL BECAUSE HE
HAD
A HEART ATTACK.

wonderful sight! It takes so little to excite me!!

I make and sell calendars with the top half blank for stamping, photos,
scrapbooking etc. The bottom part which contains the calendar grid has
space for writing in stuff. Last year (1998 calendars) I only had 1/2
page size. For 1999 I plan to have full 8.5 x 11 as well as 5.5 x 8.5.

I have to put my 2 cents in here, I work in a law firm that deals exclusively
in matrimonial law, which means we deal mostly in divorce and child support
issues. If this isn't the most INAPPROPRIATE place for a child, I don't know
what is. We have clients who bring in their children with them for an
appointment that they know is either dealing with the divorce of their parents
or fighting over the amount of $ they will be getting from one or the other
parent. Being a mother of 3 myself, and having gone through the whole
process, I'd love to take this parents aside and say, you stupid jerk, don't
involve the kids in this, it isn't their fault !!!! Unfortunately, I can't
open my mouth!!!

If it's a problem of a new jar needing to be un-pressurized, you can use a
bottle opener to pop up the lid a little. All it needs is a tiny bit of
air and it'll pop. Then you can lean against a counter, with the jar
between it and your body and unscrew the top. I do this myself sometimes;
I broke my left wrist twice and it didn't heal right either time so it
doesn't turn very easily. If that doesn't work, call a neighbor :).

When I get UM's from a known source I make a record impression with the
name of the source and if I know the company's policy on commercial usage
and/or electronic reproduction, I write that down as well. I do the same
when I dis-mount stamps to put them on HALOS.
If I *don't* know the source, as with loose UM's of indeterminate origin or
mounted stamps of the same sort, I still make a record impression and note
the date obtained and "maker unknown".
